  1. The company is Celtic which is part of the PHCS network. It is a personal policy since nobody would even write a group plan given my partner's condition. Here is the best part. He works for another company so he has coverage through them. Even if he declined coverage, nobody would write a policy for the business because he is a partner and he has leukemia. I was finally forced to get an individual plan and this is what I am stuck with. One problem is that very few insurance companies will even write policies in FL at this point. Most of them have pulled out of the state because there are too many old people and it costs too much to keep them healthy, My partner has a bigger problem. He would like to leave the company he works for at some point soon and work full time for our business but he can't. He can't leave the company he works for because he will lose his coverage and nobody else will cover him. The only way he could leave is if he went to work for another large company with a group plan (which we can't get because of him). So he is stuck in his job because he can't get insurance and he can't get insurance because he is sick. He has been in remission for 8 years but that doesn't matter, he will always have leukemia. Again, I don't know the answer but the system is very broken. I said in my last post, we have money and can pay and we are going through this. I can't even imagine what it would be like if we didn't have money. Time flies like an arrow....fruit flies like a banana
  2. I am pretty sure that is not the case. What the hospital/doctors think is considered pre-existing and what the insurance companies actually do has no relationship at all. Here is my pre-existing condition story. I have had psoriasis most of my life. It is no big deal, Every few years I get a patch on my knee or elbow, I get some cream from the dermatologist and it goes away after a few weeks. When I last changed insurance companies a year or so ago, I listed that on the forms as I was supposed to. They came back and said that they would cover me but they were going to add in a ryder because of my psoriasis. OK, I think no big deal they won't cover my cream every few years, I can live with that. When I actually got the paperwork it said that they would not cover psoriasis or "ANY SKIN CONDITION". I called and spoke to them and asked a simple question, does that mean that if I get skin cancer you will not cover it. The answer was a resounding "that is correct it is a skin condition and we will not cover it". I was given the right to protest in writing and request it be re-reviewed which I did. The response was, officially it is not covered but we try to be reasonable so if you have skin cancer it will be reviewed at that time and we will determine then whether or not it will be covered. I was also told that after 12 months I could request that the ryder be removed but it was their decision about whether or not they would remove it. They also could not tell me what criteria they use to make that decision. First of all, I live in Florida where skin cancer is a serious threat and I am not covered for it. Second of all, this was after spending a year just trying to get coverage at all. I have money and was willing to pay but I still couldn't get coverage. I am self employed and I have a business partner who has leukemia, just try to get insurance coverage in that situation. I honestly don't know the answer but I can say without hesitation that the system we have in place now is broken! Time flies like an arrow....fruit flies like a banana
  3. Are we gonna start this again, what does morality have to do with religion? Time flies like an arrow....fruit flies like a banana
  4. I was wondering if someone was going to mention that. Someone who is constantly claiming to be a follower of christianity making fun of other religions and calling them psychos is just plain comical. The only difference between christianity and scientology is that christianity has been around longer and has done a much better job of marketing. They have managed to convince a whole lot more people that their mythology is real. Give it a few thousand years for scientology to catch up. At the rate that they are growing, there will be just as many of those nuts as the christians. Time flies like an arrow....fruit flies like a banana

  6. Don't bother them with silly things like facts, they have obviously already made up their minds. Wait, let me rephrase, they have already had their minds made up for them. Anyway it is obvious that the increases started before the bill passed because they knew it was coming and what it was going to say and what it would affect before it was passed. Why don't you just get with the program and just start believing what the right wing talking heads tell you to believe. Time flies like an arrow....fruit flies like a banana
  7. I am not sure that he was given his posting history on the subject, but either way, it helps make the point that I was trying to make. People like him use that argument to oppose gay marriage. They say that Gays currently have the same rights as straights. A gay man can marry a woman just like a straight man can. So they are asking for special rights not equal rights. Here those same people are making the opposite argument because it suits the silly point they are trying to make. Time flies like an arrow....fruit flies like a banana
  8. No, things are equal right now, you are asking for special rights! Time flies like an arrow....fruit flies like a banana
  9. It is completely fair right now. The straight men can check out all the guys in the shower that they want. How is that not equal? Because straight guy are not turned on by guys, (bit slow today are ya?) straight men shoudl be allowed to shower with the ladies, so they too, can have some entertainment with their shower! Its only fair! Funny because that is the exact same argument that you and your ilk use about gay marriage. I can't tell you how often the bigots on here say things to the affect of. Gays have the same rights as straights with regard to marriage. The gay men are legally allowed to marry women just like the straight men are. They are asking for special treatment to be able to marry the same sex. So which is it? You can't have it both ways. Do the straight soldiers have the same rights to shower with the gay soldiers or are they asking for special rights? Time flies like an arrow....fruit flies like a banana
  10. It is completely fair right now. The straight men can check out all the guys in the shower that they want. How is that not equal? Time flies like an arrow....fruit flies like a banana
  11. I never had any interest in discussing the treaty with you. All I was trying to do was point out that your responses made no sense and you were accusing jakee of something that didn't exist. So you just keep digging that hole, I'm out. Time flies like an arrow....fruit flies like a banana
  12. Nobody was saying that you have to agree with what he said. I don't care if you agree or not. You looked foolish because first you said that he was picking on your spelling which he was not. Then you said it was off topic which it was not. Then you finally replied with your opinion which is fine but it took you that many posts to actually read what he said and reply to the content rather than argue about something that was clearly in your own head. And, you still didn't actually reply to his comment. You said it weakens the US. His response basically said, when you are so much stronger than the next strongest country it isn't gonna hurt to get rid of a few nukes. If you didn't get that out of his comment about everest, then you still don't get it. Time flies like an arrow....fruit flies like a banana
  13. Now you copied and pasted it and either you still haven't actually read it or you just don't get it. I am not sure which, but it is a perfectly valid response. Time flies like an arrow....fruit flies like a banana
  14. Actually he didn't. His reply was completely on topic and a perfect response to you. You really should go back and reread the post. You are looking foolish right now. Time flies like an arrow....fruit flies like a banana
  15. I agree, I was just responding to Skyrider's statement. You can't have it both ways. Either it is about religion and the govt should stay out of it, or it isn't and they should treat everyone the same. Time flies like an arrow....fruit flies like a banana
  16. I completely agree, all I am saying is that as long as the govt is sticking their nose in it, they just need to do it equally for everyone. I would prefer they got out of the relationship business altogether but that isn't very likely. Time flies like an arrow....fruit flies like a banana
  17. "Marriage" is a religious term.....Meaning a man and woman....Ya can't rewrite relegion....and I dont; even believe in it! Since when is the government supposed to be sanctioning and giving special treatment to citizens who believe in certain religious ceremonies. Oh wait, they aren't! So the ideal solution would be for the government to get out of marriage altogether and issue civil unions to everyone regardless of religious beliefs. But, that will not happen anytime soon. So, until it does I guess we should give the religious folx special treatment and not care that it doesn't afford gays and lesbians the same rights? 18. First thing that came up with a simple google search http://israelmatzav.blogspot.com/2010/09/tsa-does-sensitivity-training.html Time flies like an arrow....fruit flies like a banana
  19. Ask the TSA. I should not have to if they offer equal and fair treatment of all. Correct? Actually I believe this was a private organization that offered this training. I am pretty sure that if a Christian or Jewish organization approached the TSA to offer training for their particular issues the TSA would have no problem with it. I also am pretty sure that the TSA have been trained in how to deal with for example the special dress requirement of the orthodox Jews. If they have not been and some orthodox Jewish organization felt that their particular beliefs were not being handled with the appropriate amount of care they could speak to the TSA about training the officers accordingly. As long as it does not disrupt anything too much or cause any kind of security issue, I don't see why the TSA should not make every possible effort to respect the beliefs/concerns of everyone. If a certain group feels that the TSA is not doing so, it is up to them to contact the TSA and work with them to rectify it. That seems to be exactly what has happened here. Time flies like an arrow....fruit flies like a banana
  20. Just so I understand your point, should the TSA not respect anyone's personal feelings/beliefs and try to work within them if possible or is it just the Muslims that they should have no respect for? Time flies like an arrow....fruit flies like a banana

    STUXNET

I question this part as well "During this time the worms reported back to two servers that had to be run by intelligence agencies, one in Denmark and one in Malaysia. The servers monitored the worms and were shut down once the worm had infiltrated Natanz. " I thought these systems were on isolated networks which is why they couldn't get to them directly in the first place. If the networks are isolated, how did the worms report back to the servers? 23. Nah, you should just keep making stuff up. It works out better, you and everyone who perpetuates this foolishness just look silly and petty. The more you do it the better since it just means fewer and fewer people will believe anything that you say. I bet he salutes his own flag, the flag of Kenya of course. Ooooh, theres a good one, why don't you guys photoshop a picture of him saluting the Kenyan flag. That should cause all kinds of indignant outrage amongst the sheep. Hey it could probably be worth a few million in donations to the Republican party from all of the other's that believe everything that the talking heads tell them to believe. Time flies like an arrow....fruit flies like a banana
  24. No actually, YOU are talking about what YOU THINK the problem is. In all the posts of yours that I have ever read you have never given me any reason whatsoever to believe that what you THINK has anything to do with reality so many of us choose to look at the actual numbers and not our fears and emotions. 25. A few years ago I used mine to slice up the topskin of my brand new parachute (5 jumps). OK, I didn't do it, it did it all by itself when it unsnapped from my harness and went into the nose of the canopy during deployment Time flies like an arrow....fruit flies like a banana
