Yes you did. You paid to rent it, put it on, and jumped out of a plane with it. Of course you chose that gear! As to whether or not it was the right gear for you, I'll refrain from comment. I don't know enough about your skills or the performance of the Stiletto.

No they weren't trying to sound incredulous. They were concerned for your safety. What make, model, and size of canopy did you jump over the weekend? If you answer that, you'll put people's minds at rest. Glad to hear you had a fun weekend .

Out of curiosity, what's the progression?

Isn't that just chording on a handheld? I would have thought the references in the provided link would constitute prior art that would invalidate the patent. That said, I'm not the greatest fan of the USPTOs current working practices. And you really do like the word plurality, don't you?

In general, ellipticals are higher-performance canopies. They respond faster to control inputs and offer less margin for error. You've not offered any explanation as to what elliptical you were jumping, and people are rightly concerned that you may be unknowingly biting off more than you can chew. edited for spelling.

True. But they're a guide. You may be shit fuckin' hot, but if you've got 100 jumps, you'll have to prove it before folks will believe you. Is that such a big thing to ask? To demonstrate just how good you are?
-
Well said. Additionally, once you've done a few jumps there, people will recognise how good you really are.

Um....what kind of training is this again?

You could bust him for not knowing how to use the shift key on his keyboard . It makes it damn hard to read long paragraphs of text, and doesn't reflect particularly well on his marketing skills . -
:10:1 9x fun 4-way jumps, including the Bundy-Bundy. Nice. 1x tracking jump. Nowhere near catching the rabbit . All in all, nice weekend. Despite the sunburn and the sleep deprivation .

Nice site. I like. The quote from Douggs on your videos page contains a typo: "...reckless and way to dumb..." should be "...reckless and way too dumb.."

Doing that is one way to make sure I won't come back to a site. Its annoying and shows a distinct lack of class.

Java's primary use is not in GUI-intensive work; it's in writing server systems for business. Servers have to stay up for months on end without crashing, and the extra cost of the hardware to support the VM model is easily worth the lack of downtime. There's also the fact that it's far faster to develop in Java than in C/C++. Mainly 'coz you've fewer technology-related gubbins to think about and can concentrate more on the actual business logic needed. In fast-moving industries, the extra time overhead of writing C/C++ could mean the difference between making billions and closing the division. Thirdly, there's a lot more people able to write competent Java than there is able to write competent C++. Writing large systems in C++ is hard. The people that can do it are hard to find and expensive to hire. Especially if you need them to understand your business. The last place I worked, downtime could cost millions of euro/dollars an hour and we had to work on a three month release cycle. No-one knew what our business would look like in twelve months time, so adaptability was paramount. Java worked for lots of things, but we had plenty of C and C++ for the maths-heavy processing. Everything in its place . Anyway, gotta go (it's Friday afternoon here!).

So is the vapour coming from leading edge of the wing related to this, or just 'coz it's dark and humid?

Fixed clicky. sparky: you forgot the colon after the http, so the dz.com handy helper script added a http:// for you.

Sushi Rolls are little rice rolls with various things inside. Salmon, tuna, chicken, and various vegetables are common. Just ask the server what's in the rolls. It's normal to get soy sauce (dark, kinda sweet, nice

If you suffer from ADD, then the AAD is probably a good idea .

Java rocks for fast large-scale devlopment. Automatic memory management and pretty strict compile-time typing means that a whole class of bloody-hard-to-debug defects are eliminated. .Net probably rocks for the same reasons, though I don't have enough experience with it to tell you for certain.

Umm, an E-bud sounds like it's used to clean ears . I'm in Australia. Drop me a PM if you're feeling bored.

They're jumping it! You don't see so many 190s in the classifieds 'coz they sell so quickly. And, I'd imagine in the States that it's usually to someone at the same DZ. There's no need to go online to find a buyer. Smaller canopies have a smaller potential market, so they'll likely be advertised for longer before being sold. At least, that's the way it works here in Australia.

Yup, Chris is right on the money. It'd be fun and easy to plan a trip up the East Coast to Brisbane, or down towards Melbourne and Adelaide. The Sydney Skydivers bus leaves town at about 7am each morning. Call the office to arrange stuff.

Now that's cheating . Pity poor Bobby will be in Barbados working on his tan . -
I haven't been to a learning curve camp, but I can vouch for both Nagambie and Toogoolawah as being damn good places to skydive.

You'd better tell us where you live if you plan on screwing us then.

I'd be pretty surprised if the wavier didn't mention an A or B licence... -
For Yanks that don't do metric, that's about USD $5.85 a gallon.
