  1. Please don't add that. Animated smileys just detract from the message you're trying to convey.
  2. It's strange that while you can't get the visor frame coloured. It'll make some colours look really odd...
  3. Is that what you say to all the girls?
  4. Out to Starbucks so they can sort it out without bothering her, I meant .
  5. Nope. It's the right time to kick them out. Otherwise she won't feel welcome in her own home...
  6. That's why you can click on 'View Results' instead of 'Vote'...
  7. Anytime one starts to bitch about the other, go "No. I'm not listening. If you have a problem, talk to them, not me."
  8. At least they died doing something they loved .
  9. I was waiting for that . I don't have enough skydiving experience to provide sensible gear comparisons, and as yet I've not had occasion to test any skydiving company's return/repair policy. Ergo, no posts.
  10. It's not easy watching a loved one take up a risky pastime. Everyone has something to lose. Most of us have huge amounts to lose. And skydiving is one of those things we have to lose. We do this sport because it makes us feel more alive, not because we're scared to live.
  11. Works just fine for me. If you can provide a link to a file that's causing you problems, maybe we can figure out what's happening.

I was talking to some of the guys after that; sounded damn funny .
  13. Yes, I am. Credit where credit is due.
  14. I'm no parent, but when I was up at Toogoolawah for the nationals, there were quite a few young kids messing around and having fun. Folk seem fairly well accustomed to having kids underfoot .
  15. Here you go. It shocked me, I can tell you .
  16. Try asking in Bonfire - I doubt a lot of the potential audience would be in G&R reading a thread on sewing training .
  17. Actually, given the history detailed in the first post, I think a complaint in an open forum is perfectly legitimate. Personally, if I'd received service of that calibre with no explanation or apology I'd be fuming. If you run a small business and you're going to take a well-deserved holiday, the least you can do is let your customers know about it. Voicemail and out-of-office auto-replies are not rocket science. Nor is a quick I'll-be-out-of-contact-for-a-fortnight email to all customers whose gear is currently in the shop. It's just basic good business practice.
  18. Exactly. They're just trying to spot people likely to stay in the USA illegally. So, honesty is the best policy.
  19. Ask your accountant - that's one of the things they're there for.

I used to absolutely hate it. It drove me nuts. It's only when I got my current phone that I forced myself to learn it. The trick when learning is not to look at the screen until you've typed all the letters...

If you've got a phone manufactured in the last four years, you can just turn on the T9 dictionary... it takes a little while to get used to, but it's great.

Yeah, as I said, I'm not the world's biggest fan of the USPTO. In my not so humble opinion, they set the bar for 'not obvious to a practitioner skilled in the art*' far too low when determining whether to grant a patent. Still, well done on having three patents to your name. * from memory; it's probably not exactly correct.
  23. Fair enough. Roughly what I figured... but since I've only done 10-15 30+ ways, I'm no expert. Oh, and do you know Van Wideman? He was out here over Christmas organising some 40-ways. Lovely bloke.
