Steve Smith in Wollongong/Picton does it. He's Poo Smith's cousin and Dave Smith's nephew. So he's sorta got it in the blood.

Not a bad idea. Here in Australia, where everything is just as spread out outside the inner city, light beer is really popular. Light beer is not lower in calories; it's lower in alcohol. Usually about 2.5%. And there's charts in each pub that show what you can drink and still stay under the limit. In addition, it takes 3.5 years (or 3 years if you're over 25) to get an unrestricted licence and while you're on the restricted licence your BAC must be zero. No alcohol. Period. It seems to work for keeping younger drivers safe. Not to say the system here is ideal, but it's got some good points.

Skydiving in New Zealand/Australia

The 'gong has too small a landing area to safely allow A licences there.... you'll just have to do a load of jumps . -
It's available in Oz. My Packer A (=packs reserves, but no major TSO-affecting modifications allowed) puts a seal on. It's not common.

Not in the UK. From the UK's Department of Transport: Calling a lawyer will get you precisely nowhere.

On a slight tangent for those interested in the subject of human physiology in extreme environments, this is a very good and readable book. Ashcroft is an excellent writer and the book is thought provoking.

While dead space is important it's not the whole story - if the partial pressure of the O2 isn't high enough the gaseous exchange won't occur efficiently, or at all. A google search will bring up more information, and I'm sure there are posters here who know more on this subject than I do.

And I'm sure the lucky guy will enjoy the ride . Enjoy it when it comes.

Dunno. That's what Drew told me - I'm no construction expert.

Yup. That's probably the only mid-week option, though you might have some luck at Wollongong, though it's mainly a tandem factory. -
I'm not certain about the run-on sentence, but I am pretty damn sure grammar doesn't have an e in it.

From what I've heard, Totalcontrol suits aren't all that great. RMW make great suits, but they work out to more than the $180 you're looking to spend. (AUD 342 ~= USD 260).

Australia has a set of training tables for basic RW which you must complete to obtain a B licence. It's quite a good introduction to the skills needed for RW.

The challenge. The ability to learn something new every time you jump.

There's the story told at my DZ of an AFF instructor who'd lost a thumb in an industrial accident. He was giving a student a thumbs up for performing something particularly well, when the student pulled. Whoops .

My info is that the two existing dams are being upgraded, that a third is being built down near the gorge somewhere, and that there's a full-on made-out-of-real-bricks sert of facilities being put together. Rockin'. The swoop pond is 120x35m, to trap water from two underground springs.

Use the 'Search Posts' link near the top of this page - there's loads of info on various people's experiences.

The British Rand? That'll get a lot of South Africans all wound up . ZAR = South African Rand.

Being screwed by skydiving center
bob.dino replied to AiRpollUtiOn's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
The UK has the same. So do most (all?) European countries. I don't know how it works if you're in a different country to the person you're trying to claim off though... -
Or from Waycool. Really low profile, nice lenses.

Napster is now legal. It shares nothing but a brand-name with its infamous predecessor. Alternatives: iTunes allofmp3.com

*ahem* We're getting a swoop pond, new showers (thank Christ!), and new toilets at the moment! Yay!

Welsh. But, so? What's that got to do with anything?

:26:4 Started on Feb 26th and continued jumping to Mar 5th. Despite being weathered out lots (low clouds and beach-side boogies don't mix) I got some damn fun jumps in. All good.

According to their website, it's UV proof! Cool. I have no idea what the following quote means: Can anyone enlighten me?
