  1. My EPs are "pull cutaway - check right riser - check left riser - pull reserve". About once a day I'll practice responding to a riser hang-up.

    For Fun

    I like your style .
  3. In terms of hardware, all you need is: - Firewire / IEEE 1394 / i.Link port to get footage from the camera to the laptop. - Video/TV out/S-Video out, to view on the big screen. - 512MB of RAM should be plenty. - DVD+-RW burner. Pretty much any name-brand manufacturer will provide a range of laptops that fit this spec. The more you pay, the lighter and/or better capabilities you'll get. HP, Dell, Sony, IBM, Apple, will all work. Decide on a budget, and pick the whatever you fancy most. For example, for just about $1000 you could get a Dell Inspiron 6000 that'd do everything you need.
  4. It's also so out of focus that my eyes just crossed .
  5. Red hair & grey-green eyes here. And yes, I'm actually Irish. For the record, were you born in Ireland? Have you lived in Ireland? No? Then you're not Irish. You're Irish-American . Sorry, but that's a pet peeve of mine. After living in NYC for a few months, I came close to violence with middle-class white Americans always needing to tell me how Irish they were, even though their parents were born in the USA .
  6. Nice. The intro is excellent! You've got some excellent video editing skills there. Attaboy.
  7. For any Aussies, there's now more spaces available on the Picton course. Contact Fiona MacEachern for a spot.
  8. I understand where you're coming from; guys may not always be fully aware of what they're doing and you're trying to explain to them what they're changing in their behaviour that's causing them to fail with women. Unfortunately, your choice of words is impairing your ability to get your point across. Careful choice of words is bloody hard - witness the umteen AAD threads at the moment. Everyone is talking in circles around the same point . edit: Lots of good advice on writing.
  9. They definitely hired good interior decorators! The glass of bubbly on landing is a nice touch too
  10. Get a demo rating to prove your accuracy abilities and if they're using a 182, offer to fill the spare slot when there's a tandem+video.
  11. Your kitchen, at about dinnertime tomorrow.
  12. Dunno. I've not got enough information to have a sensible opinion either way. However, I would like other people to treat me nicely, so that's the way I treat them. Doesn't mean I'm not going to get flattened by a meteorite tomorrow though.
  13. Oooh. Interesting. I'd not heard the term before. I'd imagine you'd need to broaden the field to "trainer" or "cbt" to get meaningful data. However, since you're a department manager, a lot of that will go out the window. How many people will you be managing? What's the department budget? Is your role central to the success of the company?
  14. Thanks, ladies, for the compliments. It appears I give good text .
  15. I think "nice guy" is the wrong description for the behaviour you're describing. I've used spineless, but I don't think that's quite right either. Doormat, perchance? edit: gmittar, unformed: I think we're actually all saying pretty much the same stuff. It's just that the term "nice guy" is causing confusion.
  16. Bullshit. Just 'coz you're a nice guy doesn't mean you can't sweep a woman off her feet. If, by nice guy, you mean spineless, then yeah, fine. That's not usually an attractive character trait. I'm a nice guy. It doesn't mean that I'm spineless. Yeah, I'm nervous when I ask a woman out on a date. And yes, on that date, I'll open doors, buy dinner, and pay her compliments. Doesn't mean that later on I'm not going to throw her down and ravish her to within an inch of her life.
  17. Good for you! What's in it?

    Exit Help..

Might it not be easier to have flyer1's back towards the nose of the aircraft, putting their back square into the relative wind on exit?
  19. Yep, it stays here forever. In the future, users can click on the 'Search Posts' link near the top of this page and find all these opinions on the Spectre without having to ask again. It also means that if you've got questions on a particular subject, you can search yourself to see what people have been saying about a particular subject. There's a huge amount of useful information in the archives of this site...
