  1. Works for me. Enjoy the new place!
  2. The dodgy yank remake? Y'all should really stop trying to redo good British cinema from the 60s. Get Carter, The Limey, The Italian Job, Alfie... all shite.
  3. Done. Thanks for providing a great service.
  4. For the record, Brian Germain's version is detailed in this thread.
  5. Additionally: it's significantly noisier up by the props where the TMs sit. Especially in the Skyvan.
  6. :0:0 Sinus trouble kept me out of the air, but I made up for it by attending one of Brian Germain's canopy courses. Very enlightening. I've got enough material sloshing around my head to keep me going for the next several thousand jumps .
  7. Yes. And if you're really lucky they'll even serve beer.
  8. I'm jumping a '96 Australian-made Talon. To make it freefly friendly, I needed to have bigger main teeth & a bridle cover put on. It's a good, tough rig. If it can take the abuse I subject it to without complaint, it's gotta be well made .
  9. I'm slightly lazier than you - I do it every 30-60 days. Which reminds me - it's due to be done this weekend again.
  10. Personally, our Skyvan is nicer than the Otter. If it was a bit quieter it'd be perfect. That said, we don't have bench seats in any of our aircraft - we have sit-between-each-others-legs on the Otter & Beaver, and sit on the floor for the Skyvan.
  11. There's a guy on my DZ - several thousand jumps, AFF-I, TM, lots and lots of bigway experience - who's currently getting seriously into freeflying. He's got a 24yo daughter and a salt 'n' pepper beard. So, mid-forties to fifty.
  12. Everyone's just ignoring you .
  13. If I'm jumping, I tend to jump all weekend. If I'm not jumping, I'll do other things.
  14. Make them an offer they can't refuse . Or, $10k upfront plus a cut of future profits? It'd allow an older DZ owner to retire and maintain an income stream.
  15. As an aside, the flare you get from your canopy is, among other things, a function of your airspeed.
  16. University fees don't exist in Ireland , though there are some admin charges. Means-tested cost-of-living grants are available, as are merit scholarships. After a four-year degree, my total debt was less than €4000, and that was mostly due to an alcoholic summer in NYC . Paid off within six months of leaving university.
  17. Congratulations! Have a ball!
  18. According to the Baltimore Sun, the certification was part of a quid pro quo to gain Polish support for the latest Iraq war. edited to add reference; detail is right at the end of the article.
  19. They don't yet have the money to get the plane to certification, never mind building a proper production line. This plane is a long long way from being commercially available. We'll see what happens - it's due to make its commercial debut in May at the Alaska Airmen's Trade Show.
  20. You shouldn't get so attached to your hurricanes. After all, they're always just a short-term fling.
