What's your favorite way to get your fill of 'drama'?

Ah. Silly me. I'm obviously not cool enough to be a BASE jumper . -

What's a froum? -
Yup, a 4-pin to 4-pin cable will do fine. I have a PC350 rather than a PC109, but I'm pretty sure you won't need drivers for your camera. I don't use Premiere Pro - I've got Sony Vegas - but I'd be shocked if Premiere didn't capture full resolution video.

Thanks mate. I tried a couple of times to put down my thoughts on this matter without ranting, but failed. You've gone and done the hard work for me.

Yeah, I had a look at it. It's web-related. If you know your DOM & Javascript, give him a shout... As for webservices, two words: error handling. Last time I checked there was no way to deal with exceptions in a cross-platform manner. Which kinda buggers the whole thing up.

Indeed they did. It's Bill Von Novak's now-classic Downsizing Checklist. I'd recommend reading all the articles on canopy control.
-
I'm not quite sure what you mean. Could you say it again? .

Am I a wet-behind-the-ears know-it-all? Where do you draw the line?

That's not always a problem in a woman.

Getcha. Sounds cool.

In Firefox 1.5, the process is slightly different: Tools | Options | Downloads. Then click on View & Edit Actions. Scroll down to and select PDF. Click on Change Action. In the resultant dialog box, select the top radio button - Open in Default Application - rather than the currently-selected Use Plugin.

0.91 is a fine n dandy wingloading, and if you don't plan on freeflying, it doesn't matter that the rig isn't ready for it. It does, however, affect the value of the rig, but if Lisa says it's good value, then it's very probably good value. The Cypres question will attract strong opinions in both directions. Personally, I jump with one, and have no plans to remove it any time soon. I'd imagine you'll get a number of recommendations to the effect of "you're the mother of a young child so get an AAD." However, at the end of the day, it's entirely up to you. edit: Should you so desire, older Cypreses can be found cheaply.
-
It's really fucking annoying, isn't it? I've had to have words with one friend to stop her introducing me as "This is Dave. He skydives." Grrrr.
-
Couple of q's: What's your wingloading on the 150? To calculate, take your weight, add 22lb (for the rig), and divide by the size of your canopy, in this case 150. You'll get a number like 0.9 or 1.2 or summat... Is the rig Cypres-equipped? If not, is it Cypres-ready? Is the rig freefly-friendly?

PM Cookie (from Cookie Composites) and ask. He's usually pretty up-to-date on enclosures.

Are they getting photos for themselves, for their pax, or for something else I'm missing?

Another part of being a student is being poor and making the choice between beer & food on a weekly basis. ps: where do you go to uni?

He's just quoting headsup, who's enthusiasm seems to have gotten in the way of his typing skills. Re-read the original message .

: 5: 0 5 hop n pops to work on canopy skills. I've got an elliptical parachute & I'd like to be able to fly the damn thing properly . Paid over-due beer for 500th that fell in the middle of a training camp.

Do you believe that much of this stems from the fact that USPA has no statutory authority to regulate skydiving, or do you think that it's a cultural thing peculiar to skydiving in the USA? Or is there another potential cause I'm missing?
-
Ditto. And not in a good way.

Christ. Don't tempt him. edit: Oops. Too late.

It's not a browser-related issue; it's something on the server. I see it occasionally - usually in the evenings my time - a quick whack of the ol' F5 usually fixes it.

Yup. Working so far. (27 here).

Happy Birthday! Hope the absinthe treats you nicely
