  1. Random number generation is surprisingly hard.
  2. Based on those photos, I doubt either of you have problems in that department . Based on the rest of this thread, I hope Ted's not the jealous type .
  3. I don't think he's saying that. He's saying that if it's 8/8 in the USA and the pilot turned the green light on, then he's at least partially to blame if he gets busted for dropping through cloud.
  4. I figured you knew, it was more for everyone else. I should have explicitly said that, sorry.
  5. A good explanation of both patentability and what's wrong with USPTO.
  6. seizure-suit is great. It'll cost you a fortune to have made, but it'll be damn cool.
  7. Alright, speaking as a punk-ass no-good civilian lefty pussy, what's a packet?

    Alpha team

Download Skydive Radio #23. BJ Worth talks all about the World Team, including the role of the Alpha Team. But yeah, the Alpha team is the bench. They're also the cream of the crop - they need to be able to step into any slot on little notice and get it right first time.
  9. Nonononono. "John Rich voted for Clinton" would be a much better team name. .
  10. You might do better posting in the History & Trivia forum...
  11. What containers are available for those that like sanely-sized reserves with their small 'n' fast canopies?
  12. Was it your fancy new rig that did this?
  13. And now that we've heard from the Canberra Tourist Board.... .
  14. Skyvan, Caravan, Twin Otter, 206, 182, 750XL, Turbine Beaver. Nothing crazy.
  15. Canberra to Picton is about a 2hr drive. There are quite a few Canberra jumpers at Picton... PM Travman, he's a denizen of that town. If the University of Wollongong is on your list, Wollongong is about 25min from Picton, has a high-quality tandem operation, and is home to a hell of a lot of jumpers.
  16. Really? Three of the top four canopy pilots at my DZ did 800-1000 jumps on their first canopies. Of those three, two have been to the WCCP. So I'd dispute your assertion that staying on a larger wing will hinder a person's learning. As to the fourth guy? I don't know his canopy history.
