-

Hot tip of the day: If a bulldozer is approaching, get out of the way! It is tragic that this misguided young lady was killed however. I think the Israelis? are in violation of a bunch of UN resolutions and what do we do? Throw money at em....go figure.

George Soros: US Supremacy bubble waiting to burst:
MC208B replied to AndyMan's topic in The Bonfire
We must have seen different things in the news regarding the Russians. What I read is that they don't approve, think it was "a mistake and illegal" but the Russian went on to say that they basically didn't want to get in a pissing contest with the US. And as far as France and Germany being mad at us, geez, that's a scary thought...... -
Around $1.85 in the Portland area for regular.

Hi Bill, Isn't it great to live in a country where you can express yourself? However, looks like the Saddam show is about over. Mike

Victimless crime??? Where the hell do you think your dope is grown? Organized criminals rent houses, completely destroying the insides, to grow your dope. Have you never heard of a "grow-op"? The person who owns the rental property is just one of the victims. That's just one example. Smoking pot is NOT a victimless crime. Sorry pal, it's not my dope, I don't use dope. Maybe you should fix yourself a drink and calm down

I like them. They really stir the pot don't they? Not much middle ground over the Iraq deal.

Did you support President Clinton's war in Bosnia
MC208B replied to Gravitymaster's topic in The Bonfire
Yes, I did. My daughter is marrying a man from Bosnia next month, nice guy even if he is a MOSLEM!!!! Actually, a jack moslem similar to a jack mormon?!? Apparently everyone was supporting Clinton in that engagement, don't recall anyone from the left out in the streets protesting then War, hmmppp, what is it good for? Absouletly nuffin....Good Gawd ya'll..... -
Bill, WE ARE THE BORG, RESISTANCE IS FUTILE...... Just kidding of course! Portland had a rather large crowd of peace protesters Saturday also (no, I certainly wasn't there ) I have no problem with people getting together and expressing a different opinion, that's the American way isn't it? Besides, it's always amusing to see these people on the news, such a wide cross section of society. You have the non drummers drumming, belly dancer chicks with their message on their belly and this one even had a guy in a bear suit, told the news people that even Pooh is against the war.....I was moved...sniff....sniff..... And of course the local anarcists? were out in a small way. They split off from the main parade and decided to take over the Morrison Bridge, nice footage of one of those jerks getting knocked down and later arrested by a cop in an SUV.....he he he! He was the only arrest this time out of a crowd of about 20,000, lucky dude! What really impressed me tho was probably 19,500 of these people didn't look like the usual wackos, ordinary people out there en masse? Mike

C182, C206, C208, DHC2, DHC6 and a Skyvan. Skyvan was best I think. -
How bout 400 MSL rolling down the runway.......... Is is entertaining watching others faces recoil in an almost horrified fashion........but heh, I'm never the farter...
-
victimless crimes (i.e. dope) have no place on the DZ, before, during or after jump operations. If someone wants to go home and get loaded, that's their business. It is the "beer" light, not the dope light
-
How about peace through superior firepower?
-
nosewheel chocked? Weird.... Pilot not shutting down then engine and removing them, or just "jumping" the chocks? Stranger still
-
Is it okay to kick them? Just kidding! I have 2 Pug males and they think the house (all of it) is their own latrine
-
Just curious, for all the no war in Iraq crowd. Did you support what we did (and are doing) in Afghanistan? And if so, why?
-
168! Off to church tomorrow!!!
-
who's that?!?
-
Yeah, I used to fly them in the late 70's. 2nd generation gliders (slightly less deadly than 1st gen) My future X wife wouldn't let me buy an emergency parachute (was carried on a pouch on the front of the harness, ya grabbed it and threw it away from the glider, sounds crappy but they worked!). I lived in Sheridan, WY then and was taking off a 2,000 foot turnout in the road and thermaling up another 1-2K feet. Bumpy, exciting ride up! Sometimes I would follow a hawk to find the thermals, couldn't afford a variometer either No emergency rig, no more hang gliding for me Modern hang gliders are pretty safe and very high performing compared to then. I'm an old fart now and to lazy to pick them up and run off the cliff DOOR!!!!

Agreed!

Bill, I think the issue was that he lied under oath, not that he lied about cheating on his wife. I thought that entire deal (impeachment) was a crock of shit too and I couldn't stand the guy
