Hey guys, A few people have been asking for a repack calculator/reminder. (wheather an e-mail reminder, or other, or what not). Anywhoo, I had to do a programming assignment for school, so I decided to make one. This program runs in the background on your computer, with a taskbar icon (near the system clock, MSN, etc). You enter your repack data, and settings, and it will pop a box up and remind you when you are approaching your due date. Accually a cool little program (If i do say so myself ) Anywhoo, download this: (right-click and "save-as") http://www.mrbrant.com/files/RepackCalc.zip Unzip the folder contained in that archive to the root directory of your C drive. You then have to move a shortcut to the startup folder (in order for the notifications to appear when u approach your date) Detailed install instructions are in a Read-Me file also included in the zip file. Hope some people can find this useful, Post any questions here, or PM me. Later. (edited to add sum screenshots )

[N] is it possible to pack your chute backwards?
MrBrant replied to superman0710's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I did a few jumps last febuary, and there was a guy there who was jumping some of his old shit. (Delta II, t-10, thunderbow) His first jump of the day, he jumped the Delta II. From the ground, most of us had never seen a canopy like that, and it looked weird to say the least. Looked like he was flying in it backwards. As he got closer to the ground, sure enough, he had hooked it up backwards . Landed it within 2 feet of the target. -

does anyone pull at high altitude ?
MrBrant replied to superman0710's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
They're great! I did my first last month (Canada, -17C, hands got fricken cold). It was a nice way to end a busy day in the air. Take in the scenery, have some fun, and try out my new canopy. I'll definatly be doing more of them this summer. -

I know what you mean man! I bought my gear last october. Shitty weater for 2 weekends, no jumping, then the DZ closed for the winter Finally got to jump it lat week. A beautiful winter jump in beautiful -15 weather, landing in the snow. mmmmmmm Exactly what i needed after a few rough weeks. I love this sport! -
what was the best gear deal you ever got
MrBrant replied to sight_burner's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I think i got a pretty damn good deal on my (new to me) used gear (from classifieds here) Triathalon 220 (120 jumps) Talon cont. Raven III Cypress (6 yrs left) $1600 -
I know i was scared ABSOLUTLY SHITLESS my first 8-9 jumps or so. And I mean SHITLESS. When that door opened inches from my knee, I didn't know if i could get out there and hang from the strut. But I did, every time.

I just bought a skiing helmet also. I ripped of the goggle strap, and carefully drilled out the snap and rivit. Also sewed a zipper (inside) to hold an audible.
