Stay in skydiving, eventually you'll see enough (too many) broken bodies.
-
Same thing with BASE jumping. People who do the bare minimum skydives (150 jumps) to get onto a FJC, not bothering with any BASE specific canopy control practice/drills. I mean really, how difficult can it be to land a canopy that big (at night in a shitty small landing area)? Will Daar is nie pille vir dommigheid nie.

What? Not true. I've been nice to that smelly French Canadian assmoosewinkle all along and what did I get in return? I hate him and his stupid girly tights. Karen could do much better (even in Canada).

Wow, you must be the envy of everyone else in the trailer park.
-
Hehe, I miss that bunny.

Cool, good feedback from the field (especially considering my new canopy is a Troll). Looking forward to reply re. brake settings on low SL jumps PM I sent you.
-
When it comes to SL jumps I don't think the advantage of the multi is theoretical. The force which is required to break 80lb break cord is spread over four attachment points, so less strain/wear on your canopy at the attachment points. Will

Placebo, Pixies and Pearl Jam. Dunno why but the P bands are good for running. Especially Pearl Jam's Live on Two Legs.

Remi often has to do something similar with his customers....

Sunshine, everybody who was at the last boogie knows the real score. But keep trying (too hard), it is really entertaining.

Speaking of which, you going to be wearing those silly black tights at Eloy again?

Kick his ass seabass!

I take it the toilet door was full a long time ago? Will PS once you've got your brown wings none of the others matter...

UGHH!! If you've ever had to drink sodium laxative...

Aah, so this is how you prepare yourself before you post on SC. -
Is that a serious question or are you trying to show off about having 14 logbooks?

Look, apart from the dental decay and the lack of personal hygiene, English chicks are not that bad.
-
No, people come to Europe to explore the women, the cliffs are just a bonus.

Katie got one of those, only problem is it isn't house-broken. Just sits on the couch all day and drinks beer.

What delays were you taking? If you are doing go and throws, then expect hang time. Even just a half second delay makes a big difference. Maybe use a 48" PC or even better find something higher to jump from until you are a bit more experienced. As Harry P. told me "You are now in the trenches, be very, very careful. Go find something higher to learn off". Will

As well as damage to the bridle attachment point on your canopy. I'm especially happy to have a multi on SL jumps.

The most important thing I've learnt from this thread is to never shake hands with Skin'fingerlickinggood'Flicka. (I already knew PeterK was retarded) Now I'm just waiting for someone to wrap this thread up with a 'Jerry's final thoughts' moment...

Yes please. If it means knowing that I will always be able to deal with a line-over quickly and land using my toggles I'd be very interested. Will

Very true, Tontoism nr. 57 has been noted. My friends in SA all have jobs and have bought houses. Then again, I am a (cheap) one hour flight away from five different countries here in London. Hard-working entrepeneurial types do well in SA, slackers like me who just cruise along in big companies do better in London.

Were they aware that you were trespassing to jump? They could always argue that they were under the impression you were only jumping legal objects. Is the onus on them or you to prove this? Fuck the principle, take the money.
-
Just playing devil's advocate here (I do use the line-mod on all my slider down jumps), but I know of more than 3 people who have got hurt landing using their risers after losing a toggle on opening. Maybe some feel that the risk of a line-over when using a tail-gate is low enough to justify never having to worry about losing a toggle. Or maybe they are just lazy and don't want the hassle of re-routing steering lines.
