  1. I should had phrased that in a clearer manner. No offence to anyone. Giving the heighten state of paranoia amongst the authoritive and civilian population, some see all who are not " One of us", whatever that is suppose to mean, as a threat, for whatever reason. All in all, I fear my own government as I watch our rights being eroded away in the supposed name of protection. I fear the police state that is surely on its way. 2. ***Clearly, the guy did something wrong. Suitcase? Dressed in black? Homer Simpson would be able to tell you - that guy was spooky!!! Dressed in black and being in possession of a suitcase or two is spooky? That describes a very high number of everyday travelers. Now, him standing in one spot and asking to see the president is strange. Him being Chinese and doing so raises eyebrows. The way the situation was handled also raises eyebrows. What is the real story? Why was he standing there asking for the president. I read that he only asked one time. From what I gather, he speaks and understands very little english. How did he phrase his question of the president? Was it misunderstood? The 3 hours he was there was mostly the supposed standoff with him. Did he understand the situation? Was he terrified of the situation? Being that he just arrived here in the good old USA, maybe he was just happy to be here and was amazed that he was in D.C.. Maybe he stated that he would like to see the president in like, maybe just see him in a motorcade or giving a speech? But not stated as so. I saw the Queen of England in Perth, Australia in 1981. Stood for hours and was wearing a black San Diego Harley t-shirt. Not one kick in the head. Thanks Perth for being so kind. If the case turns out that the man is one of those "Evil Do'ers", what can be said? If it turns out that he was just happy to be here....WOW! In that case, I see a lawsuit and a very rich new arrival. "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young
  3. ***And you can't go wrong with a simple Kiss Kasket. You can even buy it ahead of time and use it as a cooler until you're ready to be buried in it. And Gene Simmons wiil also personally sign it!!!! I feel so much better about going to hell, now that I can be burried in a KISS collectable! 4. You're not really all that funny Oh, and to answer your question. No. LOL "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young
  5. Mid 80's thru mid 90's I ofton flew with my Buck 110 strapped to my belt or in my briefcase. Never questioned as I removed it to walk through the metal detector. I was however, once, told that I could not board with a bullet that was on my key chain. The bullet was not useable. They confiscated the round but let me board with my knife no questions asked. 6. From the article: I don't think the manufacturer intended it to be pumped 7 times. Seems like way to much to me. I would guess that it was travelling much faster than 665fps. I have one of these guns for shooting squirrels and rabbits. Silent and deadly. From the owners manual of the 880 Series: "..., pump the gun the desired number of times up to 10. More power means greater chance of serious injury. ..." For as small of a caliber it can be very deadly when pumped up. No problem killing small game at more than 30'. Up close to a person will do serious damage as this incident proves. "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young
  7. The jacket worked great. The wing size just turned out to be perfect for my weight. A big smile all day long. P.S. Fletch, you suck "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young
  8. Without gear less than 160 pounds. Use to weigh nearly 250 pounds before HIV. Great way to lose weight, although I would not recommend it to anyone. Stay away from women you do not know and you ladies stay away from guys you do not know. Those one nightstands can cost you plenty! 10. The picture is a bit deceiving. I looked at other camwings and saw that a reach through is a mal waiting to happen. After several design layouts I feel that this design will eliminate the HS mal via reach through. I layed in the deployment position and tried many times to get my hand through the gap. The gap is 2" and the webbing is routed through the front portion of the leg straps. Going this route keeps the webbing tight against the body, thus making it impossiable to reach through. In the event that I would have to cutaway and go silver was also taken into consideration. Again I believe that my design eliminates this scenario as the attachment point is extremely tight to the body (this does not interfere with freedom of arm movement) leaving very little room for it wander due to airflow. Another advantage that I incorporated into my design are zippers from the wrist to the elbows which allows me greater freedom once under canopy. Once the arms are unzipped they are to be rolled up the arms and stowed under the upper portion of the sleeve. Thank you for your input, it was greatly welcomed. 11. What if? someone were to make a video of themself expressing their wish not to be plugged into a machine or to not have feeding tubes inserted. Would this not be a final statement of their wish to just pass on? "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young
  12. Any thoughts on my new camerawing jacket? I made it myself. I have never touched a sewing machine untill I did this. "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young
  13. ***A 'bunch of people' die every day in this world - seems to me that there are worse dictators, worse genocides, worse situations all over the globe that we do nothing about. Yet Iraq was somehow important? get real TK Darfur comes to mind. The Sudanese Gov. enlisted the Janjawid to commit ethnic cleansing yet feel they are not responsiable for the atrocities committed. Even though trials began earlier in March, who will actually pay for the millions who were murdered. Clinton imposed sanctions and Bush renewed such sanctions annually that did nothing to stop the brutal butchering. Like as you said, "Iraq was somehow important?" and it is clear that the U.S. cares very little about the millions dead at the will of the Sudanese Gov., and somehow Saddam is the worst of them all? The Sudanese Gov. makes Saddam look like a kid merely throwing sticks. "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young

  17. U.S. Military Dismisses Convicted Soldier 04/01/2005 Associated Press/AP Online WIESBADEN, Germany - A U.S. Army captain convicted in the shooting death of a wounded Iraqi was dismissed Friday from the armed forces, but the military court did not impose a prison sentence. Capt. Rogelio "Roger" Maynulet, 30, was convicted Thursday of assault with intent to commit voluntary manslaughter, which carries a 10-year maximum sentence. He argued the killing was "honorable" because he wanted to end the man's suffering. Maynulet stood at attention as Lt. Col. Laurence Mixon, the head of the six-member panel hearing his case, announced the sentence. He then embraced his defense lawyers and his wife, who burst into tears. Prosecutors had sought a three-year prison term for Maynulet in addition to dismissal from the armed forces, arguing that a strong penalty would send a signal to other U.S. soldiers that such behavior would not be tolerated. "You commit a serious crime, you are out of the Army. This is not what we do here," prosecutor Maj. John Rothwell said before sentence was passed. "What kind of institution does the U.S. Army become if assault with the intent to commit voluntary manslaughter is an honorable act?" In an emotional plea to the court for leniency, Maynulet's mother, Carmen, said she was "very, very proud" of her son. "Please let my son come home," the Cuban immigrant said tearfully. On May 21, 2004, Maynulet was leading his 1st Armored Division company on a mission near Kufa, south of Baghdad, when it was alerted that a car thought to be carrying a "high-level" target was headed its way. No details of the mission have been released, but it has been widely reported the company was told radical cleric Muqtada al-Sadr, who led uprisings against U.S.-led forces in Iraq last year, was believed to be in the car. The company chased the car and fired at it. A passenger who was slightly wounded fled and was later caught. The driver was pulled from the car with serious head injuries and pronounced untreatable by a medic. Maynulet, praised by his peers during the trial as a dedicated soldier and promising officer, then shot the driver twice. The killing was filmed by a U.S. surveillance aircraft. Maynulet's defense attorney, Capt. Will Helixon, called Maynulet an outstanding soldier who started many projects in Iraq and was responsible for the arrest of 1,000 insurgents. He said the conviction was penalty enough. Maynulet was convicted of a lesser charge than the one he originally faced, assault with the intent to commit murder. 18. I would not call myself a troll. One does get a far clearer view of what others believe when one steps outside of their own belief system and becomes a devil's advocate. dev·il's advocate, n. One who argues against a cause or position, not as a committed opponent but simply for the sake of argument or to determine the validity of the cause or position. My position is just out of wonderment. As I said, it is far easier to understand the position of others when one goes against the grain as true thought is ofton invoked when one goes against the belief system.
