Not the same ad, John. The one I saw had two girls at a party talking as it flashed on a girl and a boy smoking pot and making out. "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young

"stupid ass". The man suffered from a disorder that was not of his doing. How insensitive have people become? This situation could had been handled far differant than it had been. How stupid are the air marshalls is my question. How incapable are the baggage screeners to allow a person with a bomb in a carryon bag to board? Did the air marshalsl believe that this man actually walked through security with a bomb? The Federal government is the real danger. Not the poor bi-polar individual who is having an episode. Why did they have to shoot the man several times? Why not one shot to incapacitate him? The air marshalls in my opinion are responsiable for this mans untimely death as they were unable to handle the situation properly. The Federal government is responsiable for this mans untimely death as they are not capable of properly training personnel to handle such situations. Watching TV the other day and an anti marijuana propaganda piece comes on the screen, courtesy of your tax dollars. The piece goes as such; "Hey Jane did you hear about Sarah? She got HIV.". Jane, "I heard. She smoked pot and had sex.". The piece goes on to state that if you don't smoke pot you won't get AIDS. What kind of message is this sending the kids? Smoking pot is the cause of HIV/AIDS? Some kids may take this as saying "as long as I do not smoke pot, I can have sex and not worry about AIDS". Are kids really so stupid that they will buy into such a blatant scare tactic that has been used in the past and failed. Or, is it that the Federal government is hoping to brainwash another generation as they come of age. There is very little truth in what is coming out of Washington, D.C.. Most notedly, the Whitehouse. What should be said is the truth. That is all anyone needs to hear. The Federal war on marijuana has cost billions upon billions of dollars. Far more than they are willing to spend on educating the public on AIDS/HIV. As new HIV infections and deaths started an upward climb a few years back, one would think that more would had been done to fight this. Not one thing to stop the climb was done. The most they could do is to make a false connection that states that smoking marijuana leads to AIDS/HIV. I for one would like the truth for once. I would rather see my taxes being used in a positve manner. But asking for truth is a Federal offense and could lead to an investigation. This government is at war with everyone and everything. Or, so it seems. And, it seems that they do not like to admit defeat. The Federal goverment will continue on in its errant ways. There is no real check and balance. And it is appearant in the war on marijuana and all the other so called "wars" that the Federal government as started with no exit plan in hand. Could you forgive somebody who murders your loved one?

I am solely in support of marijuana law reform and in no way support those who deal and traffic in narcotics such as heroin. Although I do not support death penalties the smuggler in question was aware of the risk in what he was doing. Play the game and pay when you lose. QuoteI wanna know what you or your religion believes and why Well, there you go. So many good opinions yet not one good right answer. Whether a person transcends to "heaven" or descends to "hell" cannot be answered directly as the only true way of knowing is by dying and going one way or the other. That is my opinion and one good answer . "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young

Possums fly real well off the porch with 30-06 propulsion. Gutshot the dang thang and it turned and came after me, no shit, its entrails were dragging behind it as it came back on the porch. Only brought one round and had to go back inside for another round. Second shot was with the barrel between its eyes. Not sure if it saw it coming but I sure the hell saw it going. Man can possum fly "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young

Valcore, I am so sorry to hear of this death. I myself have made 7 attempts of suicide ( 1 hanging, 4 drug overdoses, slit my wrists and finally gassing myself in my car at 3am, my neighbor came home and wondered why my car was running , I awoke the following day in ICU) due to health problems. I hope your family is not mad at what she did but try to understand the pain that she must have been feeling inside. Often people who become suicidal learn to hide any pain so as not give away their intention to end life. Fortunately for me it was very appearant and people around me tried to keep a close eye on what I was doing. I hope that your family quickly come to terms with what had happened and not blame theirselves. I was taken off of meds in 2001 when I lost my insurance. Recently I was dropped from the medicaid and medicare programs. They didn't do anything but monitor Tcell counts and V/L twice a year. When I was on the meds my Tcount was steady at +/- 1000 and viral load undectectable. The last monitor I had back in april had me close to full blown AIDS. Yet, because I had no insurance and medicaid/medicare was not paying at that time for any AIDS meds I could not get any. Now medicaid and medicare are paying for some of the meds available but because I am now considered middle income (they lowered the poverty income level to somewhere around $750 a month and Missouri lowered it even more to $677 a month. I recieve $1100.00 on my disabilty) i was informed by the state that I would have to pay all expense myself as I am no longer in the poverty level. With all the Feds talk about how much the government is doing to combat AIDS, I say BULLSHIT. New HIV infections and AIDS related deaths are on the rise in the US. One day a year to bring awareness to the worst virus known is not enough. When they talk about how well everyone is doing so well they are speaking of people like Magic Johnson, not people like myself. I am so exhuasted from living with this, most days I just wish it would finally take me. I still hope for the best though. Skymama, thank you so ever much for posting the link. You are one of the best here. In my mind I am giving you the biggest hug you have ever had. Again THANK YOU!!!! HOLY SHIT!! That 72 350 hit me like a huge freaking rock. In 72 we lived in Lemoore Ca., I was 11 going on 12. My dad was an AEC at the Naval Air Station. We lived off base out in the country. I had an Hodaka Super Rat 100. My brother, a Yamaha 125 enduro. There was a navy test pilot who lived down the road from us who had the exact same bike 100% to the color. He use to let us ride it when he was at home. He spent a lot of time down at China Lake. The guy's name was Steve and everybody thought he was the coolest guy ever. The guy was our idol. Hot wife, test pilot, 'vette, he had a harley and bought that 350 so he could ride with all of us who had dirt bikes. They had no kids. I think he was around 25yo. He always left after dark on sunday night to head back to China Lake and the test aircraft . Normally back by the following friday night. One week Steve did not show up on friday night as we would wait for him to come roaring down that road either on the dresser or his 'vette. Both equally loud. The roar did not arrive that night nor the next. By sunday it was learned that Steve went in with his aircraft. His wife cleared out the place and was never seen again. I guess she went back to where ever they came from. I have not thought of that weekend for such a long time. That picture brought back some of the funniest times of my life. Not only did I get to ride a 350 at the age of 11 but one of my best friends was a TOP GUN. Thanks for posting that pic. Enlisted during the Iranian crap back in 79. If I could had I would had happily gone to fight the Taliban. Iraq, ain't no freaking way would I go invade a country just because an inadequate president has a personal grudge against someone. Sure...Saddam is an asshole, one of many. This crap will still be going on when Bush leaves the whitehouse. "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young

DAMN, that is the sled of my dreams. A bro of mine up in Ogden Utah made me a Knucklehead belt buckle of brass that is detailed to the last screw. Ya need to see it to really appreciate it. I'll post some pics of it later. It is the only one in the world. Many Knuck riders have offered good money for it but I never even considered parting with it. Glad ya didn't cut her. Pristine rides like yours are a rarity. Great job. Ever considered putting her in a rag for the rest of the world to enjoy. For a non-biker that's never been in SF, what's that? Some pics of the suicide i have set up on my Snortin'. Has been tested on the rolling chassis with the clutch set up, works great. Also some pics of the frame while down. Damn, been sanding with a wire wheel on the angle grinder. Need to sandblast and be done with her. Haven't yet decided what new skin she is going to get. Whatever color she gets, she will have looks that kill!! Got pics of the Fatgirl (all my bikes are female) and her setup somewhere. Apes and sucide...Oh Yeah, hanging high and shifting low.... QuoteYou think my little rant is bad, you should hear what a true patch-wearer says about the wanna-be riders! That's the point....why is a "true patch-wearer" any more of a rider than "wanna-be" (whatever that is) riders? I'll answer this as I wore a patch in Texas as well as Missouri and have been an affiliated to a number of other organizations. There is a world of difference between a BIKER and someone who rides on weekend or only when the sunshines. A biker is a someone who rides regardless of anything. I went for nearly 10 years on nothing but my bike. I rode in rain, snow, sleet, and freaking hail. When I was incarcerated at Descanso prison, I arrived on my bike after riding through a snowstorm going through Alpine, Ca.. A BIKER dedicates everything to the Brotherhood. No if ands or buts about it. When it is time to ride and it is always time to ride, your ass better be on the bike and in the formation. Screw your job, the brotherhood comes first, to hell with your personal problems, the brotherhood comes first. Above everything in your life the brotherhood comes first. It is your family. Period. If you cannot hang with that, you best go else where. The term 1%er comes from a statement made by the American Motorcycle Association back in the 50's when it was said that most motorcycle enthusiest are law abiding courteous riders and only 1% operate outside the rules. Those in the 1% group took it as a badge of honor. I wore it as a badge of honor and even though I left the inner world of the lifestyle I am still welcomed as if I have never left when I go back to St. Louis. I was building my chopped Norton when I first became involved in the "outlaw" biker life in San Diego. I met brothers from as far as the Oakland Chapter of the Hells Angels as well as Satans Slaves, Gypsy Jokers to name a few. All great people and as friendly as can be. In Mo. I came to be involved with the Road Saints, El Forresteros, Saddle Tramps as well as two Chicago based clubs, the Outlaws and DC Eagles. In Texas I rode with the Brotherhood of Bikers, more commonly know as the Texas Brotherhood which welcomed all bikers regardless of their sled or affiliations. The B.O.B. formed around 1985 near Mexia, Texas after a well known biker was killed. One of the most memorable rides with them was in 1993, the Funural of Pops, the man who formed B.O.B. It was probally the biggest biker funeral Texas has ever seen. If you ride and live in Texas you should attend one of their runs and get to know more about them. I have known Bandito's who rode jap bikes as well as other clubbers who rode other than American. For the majority of patch holders it is not the bike you ride but your integrity, desire and dedication to the brotherhood. If you only ride on weekends or your job means more than the club, you are not club material and will never be a 1%er. If you are of lonewolf 1%er status, one who does not hold a patch or claim affiliation to one organization, you must be willing to drop everything in order to ride with any given chapter. Being a biker means true dedication through and through. You would never ever turn on them. Never, if are a true biker. No where with the average rider who rides on weekends with a few friends do you find what you find with the 1% that operates outside the law. I stopped going to Sturgis and stopped buying Easyrider when it became the richman biker fantasy camp. I honestly fucking dispise the wannabe's. My Norton has seen well over 300,000 miles. My last Harley, the fatboy built the right way (fuck Harleys way) had over 100,000 miles on her and I went 2 years without a speedo cable. Those are only two bikes the others had not as many miles on them when sold. Your regular rider will never amass the miles under their ass the way a REAL BIKER will. But it is all good and anyone who rides should be appluaded for doing so. Much like someone who does a jump or two and not much else. I'll ride with anyone no matter what you are on, unless of course your on an errrr...sooo harrrrd to tyyyyype this wooorrd...... VESPA! You are so mis-informed. Most of your replies to my post are without point. Such as.... ------------------- Quote -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Real life case as shown that in countries that have more liberal attitudes towards mj have fewer underage smokers than countries that have stringent mj laws -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sweet- so instead of just having someone smoking they are stoned instead. Sounds like a great payoff. ------------------------------------------------------------ My point is obvious, decriminalization removes the mystique and taboo. Countries that have done so have seen a dramatic decrease in use amongst the underage. As with states that allows medical use, there has been no increase in useage amongst teens. This really irks the anti-mj crowd as it lays waste to the arguement of "what kind of message are we sending the kids". All the while they are perfectly fine with shoving Ritalin down a kids throat. ---------------------------------------------------------- There is absolutely no evidence that links mj to narcotic addiction. It has not been proven to be a gateway drug. In fact the majority of the population started with alcohol and tobacco. Not marijuana. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So are you saying that because alcohol and tobacco are legal and easier to get thats why most people started with them? -------------------------------- Not at all. I am only stating what is fact. Look it up, if you do not believe me. Also what is fact is that many never go beyond alcohol and tobacco so it would also be unjust to claim that those substances are gateway drugs. So for the anti-mj crowd to claim that mj turns kids into heroin addicts is also unjust. ------------------------------------------------ Given the fact that each year more and more people will try mj for the first time even though the government forbids. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So since people just ignore the law we should abolish it? ----------- Absolutely. Being that personal use is a victimless crime and only a crime due to an ill-informed public starting in 1914 in El Paso, Tx.. The "marijuana tax stamp act of 1937" was voted in with no debate as it was not open to such. Since that time the Feds have waged an all out war on mj. Imagine if every single person, who has used mj, were to be arrested and convicted. The majority have spoken and wish to stop seeing otherwise law abiding people being arrested for something that harms absolutely no one. ( don't fire back with the lame arguement..."This is the joint that jane smoked... down to...this is the child that died in a drug war because of the joint that Jane smoked". Any child who died due to marijuana smuggling died solely because of the legislation that created the blackmarket for mj) ---------------------------------------- Given the fact that current prohibition is a complete failure and has wasted billions of dollars and millions upon millions still smoke regardless it is an utter waste of resources to continue with a policy that has produced absolutely zero in positve results. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Trying to keep kids and people off drugs is a complete waste of money? I got the message when I was young and to this day have never used. Would you consider that a waste of money for having a program that has helped keep me clean my life. How about this, lets legalize everything, coke, heroine, crack, meth everything, but then not 1 dollar of our tax money will have to be put into rehab clinics. That should make evryone happy. Then they could just stay home stoned and not have to work. Oh almost forgot. no welfare for those people who use either. --------- Again with the rhetoric. I take it, from your age, that you went through the D.A.R.E. program. Oh by the way, from the governments own statistics, has a higher failure rate than success. That is fine that you have never used. No one who is for legalization is screaming for everyone to smoke. It is quite the oppisite. Our arguement is that education (not the bullshit put out by DARE) will do far greater good than locking people up for something that harms no one. As for your remark alluding that pot smokers are lazy. Again with your rhetoric. Everyone I know, who smoke, are hard working, successful people who have also raised families and have contributed greatly to society by being just ordinary people, living ordinary lives. If you did not know personnaly that they smoked, you would never know that they did so. As for your statement about crack, meth and no money for the rehab centers... I will not reply to has it makes no sense whatsoever. ---------------------------------------- I am not surprised that some people still buy into the government bogus "evidence" that mj is the root of all that is evil despite the vast amount of proven evidence that mj is in fact the most versatile plant ever known to mankind -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Oh come on. You make it sound like it is the cure to every ailment that has ever been discovered. Most people smoke it just to get baked. Nothing else or more. ------------ Again you are in an area in which you truely show your ignorance. I for one, no longer use mj to get "high" as it has helped me to maintain weight. I veiw the ignorant who wish to keep this plant from those who benefit as criminal. You should not be so fast as to put this plant in a locked cage as you may someday benefit yourself from one of the new medications that are coming forth. It is proven beyond doubt to help stroke victims, AIDS wasting, MS pain reduction, degenerat vision loss, curbing cancer growth, alleviating the suffering of radiation and chemo therapy, nausea, depression and a list that seems to be getting larger each year as the plants medicinal properties are studied indepth. ----------------------- You are nowhere in my league when it comes to arguing why marijuana should be legal. Since learning of my HIV status I have immersed myself into all realms of this plant. It's past, present and future. It is a miracle plant and I truely believe that it has helped greatly in my well being while trying hard not to die of AIDS. Why you and your kind are so blind to what this plant can do is beyond me. I am with JoeyRamone on stating that it is a waste of time to argue with your type. I hope that you may never have to use the medicines that are being derived from the plant. But, if by chance you get cancer, MS, gluacoma or in my book the worst of them all AIDS you will find that this plant is in fact a miracle plant as people such as Montel William can attest to. Open your eyes and see the truth and stop with the rhetoric. "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young

Real life case as shown that in countries that have more liberal attitudes towards mj have fewer underage smokers than countries that have stringent mj laws. The fear of legalization, to those who have an extremely limited knowledge of mj, is that if legal, even if only for medical reasons, the youth of this nation will fall victim to the devil's weed. That argument goes all the way back to the days of Harry Jacob Anslinger. Consider the millions upon millions of people whom have smoked. Consider the arguement. The arguement does not hold water as millions upon millions of people who have smoked lead perfectly normal lives. They did not become crazed dope fiends. A much larger section of the population have become addicts to narcotics through legal pharmetcutical drugs from their doctor. There is absolutely no evidence that links mj to narcotic addiction. It has not been proven to be a gateway drug. In fact the majority of the population started with alcohol and tobacco. Not marijuana. Why not legalization? Given the fact that each year more and more people will try mj for the first time even though the government forbids. Given the fact that current prohibition is a complete failure and has wasted billions of dollars and millions upon millions still smoke regardless it is an utter waste of resources to continue with a policy that has produced absolutely zero in positve results. I am not surprised that some people still buy into the government bogus "evidence" that mj is the root of all that is evil despite the vast amount of proven evidence that mj is in fact the most versatile plant ever known to mankind. I will testify to its healing effects as I use it to combat AIDS wasting. I have however not smoked any in quite awhile and I see and feel the effect of not doing so. I often go two to four days without eating and have lost an considerable amount of weight. Given my current counts, this is extremely dangerous to my health. When I do smoke, I eat two to three times a day and I am able to keep my weight above 160. I am currently above 140 and feel like hell. Personaly I do care what others think of mj. I hope that more and more people will see past the lies of those who wish to lock up those who utilize this remarkable plant for medical, recreational, industrial (one can go to prison solely for planting hemp) and any other beneficial reason. The end of prohibition is long overdue. "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young

None taken there, Walt. There are some people whom it is always obvious that they have just smoked. Amatures. Yet, I have known some people and have worked with others and was real surprised to found out they smoked and did so ofton. Some of these people are the last you would expect to be smokers. Highly professional and intelligent. Pot just does not whack the mass majority into a stupor after smoking. The average person who smokes goes about their day as one normally does, only they have a nice glow going on. Maybe, it's that illegal smile, that last a good while that gives them away "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young

My real preference is for hanging out with people that are somewhere in the middle, though. Hanging out with people who are stoned or drunk can be pretty boring for someone who isn't. Walt ----------------------------------------------------------- I can never tell for sure if someone has been smoking and I have smoked since 73. I can usually tell if someone has been drinking however... "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young
