  1. Peace through superior firepower. Yup, we can stand here all day holding big rocks, but do we really want to hit each other with them? I'll keep mine to make sure you don't throw yours. And vise-versa. "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young
  2. I hurt my back on the job and had to pee in a bottle. Smoking pot had nothing to do with my back injury. Lifting awkward, heavy refrigeration coils did. I failed the test. Got 1 week off even though I had marinol. Took it to the union, Got a weeks pay and back on the job. I was never "impaired", I take a medication that is legal in one form and sometimes the same thing only not in synthetic form by natural form, yet illegal. I did have to pee in the bottle once a week for 2 months even though they now knew that I had a prescription. They also learned that I was HIV even though most people that I worked with knew it. I am very open about it. Point is even though my system was through and through positive for THC I was no more impaired than the next guy. If I was it never hurt my job performance. I had a far better work record than the people in my area who did nothing. I did have the right to have THC in me. And sure I did feel good. I was always happy. The pain from my back was more managable than when they gave me the oxycontin and said you can work on these. Give me a break. When on the oxy I had no desire to work, I was depressed and it did little for the pain, it took more and more to manage the pain, yet I could not take off from work because of it. Company Dr. gave me the oxy and declared I was fit for work. I stopped taking the oxy and just smoked a bit of weed. THC does wonders and you don't have to get "stoned" to reap the benefits. I have no idea what your experiance is with mj. Mine goes back to 72 and I have yet to see anyone ruin their life on weed, fuck up royally on the job, hurt or kill anyone. Fact is, is that you most likely encounter a number of people each and every time you go out and would never know it. If you believe what you read and hear from the employer, take a look around your work place and see if what they are saying is true. If the people in the place you work at are so dangerous, there is more to than pot. "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young
  3. Now that is real cool. $5,500 is more than you walked in with! I always imagine that it is much harder when actually on the set than when in your livingroom. Back in the mid 70's my girlfriend and her family were on Family Feud, they lost. Only thing I ever won was concert tickets on a radio call-in show and a crappy record album at the mall. The concert tickets was for "Rocking at the Racetrack" at Del Mar, Ca. got the tickets from KGB radio in San Diego. The album was from a disco station in St. Louis, KSLQ, early 70's, I was pulled from a crowd at the mall and answered a questioned right about American Bandstand. For the record, I did not listen to that station. For me it was K-SHE 95 Real Rock Radio. Oh, yeah and uhmm, disco still sucks "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young
  4. If he did, I never saw it coming. Maybe, this accounts for my frequent headaches. I am not sure but I believe Norris owned the studio. A guy on the ship I was stationed on gave lessons onboard and also worked at the studio. He invited everyone to come and meet Norris and watch a demo. The guy was extremely cool with no " I am a star" attitude. A truely nice guy. "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young
  5. Jeopardy has a great website. I am watching Jeopardy right now. and it is 12:46 pm. I should be doing some digitizing instead of watching a game show and screwing around at dz.com. All time favorite game show. Only one worth watching. I should be on that show. "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young
  6. Responsiability!!!! You are right about having a few beers and being fine and the same goes for smoking or any drug. On days that I am going to jump I wait untill late in the day if I do take a hit in the morning to bring my appetitie up, otherwise I just do not eat the entire day. I haven't smoked any pot in more than 3 months and it shows in the amount of weight that I have lost due to no appetite. Marinol, for the most proves to be worthless as it's affect is highly unpredictable as to when it will take effect. I would not take Marinol on days that I am going to jump. Not safe for me, not safe for you. I am appalled to the number of jumpers and tamdemn people who drink into the wee hours and then gear up in the morning. Not safe for me and safe for anyone, yet it is overlooked that they are a danger to everyone. It is all about personal responsiability and this is the message that NORML is trying to get across. Actually, I have no problem with a person wishing to poison their liver, I do however have a problem with alcohol being so accepted at dropzones. For the record, I leave when the drinking begains as I am an recovering alcoholic and have had major problems because of drinking. I have never had a problem with weed. I do not sit for hours on end smoking it. Do not get belligerant when smoking. Never been in a fight when smoking. Have never missed work because of it. It comes down to a person being responsiable. A study, I recently read, shows that fatigue also accouts for a large number of mishaps in the work force. My last factory job, in my area, I was a welder, we worked from 3am to 3pm as there was 2 shifts for welding. At one time we worked this way 7 days a week. Everyone in the area were sluggish. When a mishap did occure it was mostly due to the hours worked and add in the hours after work when one has to take care of off hours business you operated on less than 4-5 hours sleep. So it is not just alcohol or drugs that account for work place mishaps it is also the companies themselves whom require employees to work long grueling hours than take care of personal business after. To many variables to just point a finger at alcohol and drugs. "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young
  7. I met Chuck Norris back in the early 80's at a martial arts studio in San Diego. Very cool guy. "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young
  8. My own father was one of them. He drinks more than a case of beer every night. His job (now retired, he is also retired from the Navy, 1972 with 22 years service) with the St. Louis Post Dispatch payed over $100,000. a year. His bonuses per year payed just as much. He never missed a day of work and was highly praised for his abilities. Yet at the same time he is not a pleasure to be around and the same goes for his drinking buddies. All of them are assholes. The same, for the most, cannot be said for pot smokers. I much rather be around smokers than drinkers. "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young
  9. Oh yeah, like the Canadian sno-boarder who took a gold and then they called mj a performance enhancing drug when he tested positve? "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young
  10. Whether I smoked or taken the Marinol, you would not have known that I had taken either. Look at the huge number of highly prolific people who do use and are very open about it. Carl Sagan (deceased), Willie Nelson, Keith Stroup (lawyer and founder of NORML), Tommy Chong, Louis Armstrong (deceased). Truth is, there are a huge number of people who smoke and are very secretive about it. I do know a huge number of people who smoke and if not for the knowledge that they do so, I would guess that they do not. These people are everyday people that work, paybills and taxes, raise families and do what any other law abiding person would do. The majority of people whom I know who smoke, do not use other drugs or drink alcohol. The people that I do know who drink are the people whom I have the least association with as they are the most obnoxous people and the most violent. Alcohol brings out the worst in people and should be outlawed. "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young
  11. I would decriminalize all "victimless" crimes, so yes. I believe that an individual has the unlimited right to control his own body. If you want to kill yourself, go for it. What I would punish is crime against others. Relentlessly. rl Mj and only mj "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young
  12. All this banter on pot smokers and such is all crap. Truth is a large portion of the work force smoke weed and are highly productive people. The portion of the work force that are the least productive are those who use alcohol. My last factory job it was appearant who were the least productive yet no one was dropping random breath testing. I myself would take several onehits in the morning to bring my appetite up, eat a huge breakfast and head to work. At no time did my use of mj ever affect my performance. The same could not be said for those who would go home at the end of the day and drink beer or whatever. Often at lunch, I left the factory and went to my car and had a few hits and headed to a fast food joint for a sack of burgers, ate large went back to the factory and busted my ass working. All the while one could see the drinkers who were sluggish throughout the day. If I were to test foor anything it would be alcohol. I would test each and every person as they came through the door before they clocked in. Anyone who so much as showed just a trace of alcohol on their breath would be fired on the spot. With 15% of the work force going to work under the influence of alcohol why not put a breathanalyzer at the door? Alcohol accounts for more lost time and injuries than all the drugs put together. On another note, I was the only person in the factory allowed to have THC in my system as I did have an prescription for Marinol. In my work area I was the most productive, always on time, never hungover, never complained. It was the same for those who also used only mj. The same could not be said for those who only used alcohol. Even the skydive community is alright with alcohol and many are down on pot smokers. How many times have you boarded a plane in the morning hours and seen hungover jumpers and even hungover tandemn masters. Breath testing should be given every morning. Tandemn masters should be barred from using alcohol. Alcohol is the #1 cause of problems in society and should be banned, period. "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young
  13. I'm not going anywhere with this... I'm just opening the door... Damn! I cannot make it that easy for you. So you prefer sausage in the morning? "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young
  14. When I saw the subject line I immediatly thought to myself exactly what you wrote only I put in mushrooms, suasage, bacon and jalapenos. Now I am hungry and don't have the makings for such a kickass omelet. "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young
  15. A recent report shows that more than 15% of the american work force is drunk on the job. Of all the people I have worked with over the years, those who smoke weed have been the most productive over the methheads, cokeheads, drunks and even those who do none of the above. Drug testing presumes that you are guilty untill you pee in a bottle and prove otherwise. If a person smokes weed when at home it is no business of the work place. Would a person object if their employer demands that you cannot even drink alcohol as it does have detrimental health effects and cost greatly in medical insurance and make for sluggish workers. There are employers who fire workers just for smoking cigarettes. What if they demand that you stop skydiving as an accident could cost their insurance greatly. Not to mention time lost. I smoke mj for medical reasons as it helps to keep my weight up, although I have not smoked any in quite a few months and my loss of weight shows this. To what business is it to an employer if I am a A1 employee, never miss work an innovator on the job. I agree that those who do hard drugs can be an liability the same as the 15% who show up intoxicated. I have read a report that alcohol is the #1 cause for work place mishaps and time lost. This was shown to be true in factories as well as in an office and extends into the military, police force as well as into the legal field. So, why try and weed out the pot smokers and cokeheads when the main cause of poor work performance is alcohol? Drug testing is a muti dollar industry and now a lot of employers use the home testing kits. Just saying that it is right to test people because drugs are illegal doesn't make it right. Maybe they should have a breathalyzer at everyones work station and have everyone blow every thirty minutes to be sure that they are not taking a sip through the day. 16. ***while the first part of your statement is mostly speculation, the second part is not supported by ANY facts. I'd guess that the reason the U.S. hasn't steamrolled North Korea hasto do with North Korea's neighbor and Communist Pal...China. You know abotu China, right? *** http://www.rense.com/general37/nkorr.htm N. Korea does not expect any help what so ever from China, nor Russia. N. Korea plans total all out warfare. No pussyfooting around. The US came to be a super power by striking fear into less equipt nations. Some can say all they want about N. Korea not having the ability to take on the US. A more than 50 year stand off shows that they will not nor ever back down. The longer the wait the higher the stakes. They are building and have been building for all this time. Any military strategic planner knows that time is your worst enemy as it gives your enemy the ability to shore up its strength. N. Korea's Kim Jong is in fact a mad man. Completey insane, but not stupid. He will, however, not hesitate using any weapon at his disposal if he feels that the outcome would be of his favor. N. Korea has been the main threat since the ceasefire began. "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young
  17. [reply How would you feel if a kid was found with an eigth of weed on him-Jeffrey Not to hi-jack this thread, but you cannot equate the two as one is highly open to debate as to its merits and the other is not. My belief is that harming a child in this manner is worthy of life with no parole in a rock yard. What happens, happens in a prison and they should be reserved for these types of people. Not a kid with a bag of buds. "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young
  18. Iraq was contained, but not entirely. Iraq could had been sealed completely. Nothing in, nothing out. Our government has the ability to listen and watch nearly every movement on the planet, IF they were to properly utilize the tools at their disposal. By doing so, though, our own privacy would have to be given up. But, that is another thread. Iraq had no type of weapon that would had come close to hitting anything remotely close to the US. Hell, he didn't have anything that would had even made it out of his backyard. He was not a threat. Recall the cold war where as the old USSR was a threat and truely provoked the US on a regular basis. In return our government provoked the USSR with equal or greater provocation. We won in the end. We have the largest arsenal of Weapons of Mass Destruction ever. The result of the arms race. We have the most technologicly advanced government and millitary. In fact we are the most dangerous country in the world soley because of what the government and military has learned and amassed in the cold war years. Also recall the Afghan Freedom Fighters whom the US was so willing to help gain freedom from Russia during the cold war years. Remember what happened when the Berlin Wall came down? Those Afghan rebels were left to fend for theirselves against the Russian millitary. Many of those rebels are the same people who became part of the Al Quida terrorist network. Osama Bin Laden being one of them. Pulling out of Iraq right now would be the same result. Bush did in fact stick this country into a quaqmire with very few ways out. Leave now and turn the entire country of Iraq against us. Stay and more good money and people will go to waste. Truely a mess. Much like Vietnam and the war before it, the Korean war. Unlike Vietnam, which by the way is doing fine and has become more friendly and open, the Korean war is still on. Not over yet, only in a cease fire. The US and N. Korea has been toeing the line for an extremely long time and it is but a matter of time before one strikes the other. The only question there is who will it be. If I had my choice on a country to attack, I would had concerted my resources into a swift and desisive hit on N. Korea and just kept an eye on Iraq. As with Iran, we have no one to blame but ourselves. The government had a great oppertunity to squash Iran during the Iran/Iraq war. We provided minimal support and training. When I was in the IO 80-81 all that one could see was haze grey. It seemed that the entire Navy was afloat in the IO. I was on an LPH and we stayed right off of the beaches of Iran as did many other ships. We had the firepower and with Iraq and the US being very good friends we had the support and Iraq had ours. Instead Rumsfeld shook hands with Saddam will his cronies made secret deals with Iran. As far as Israel goes, well, they have it bad. Would not had been a concern if the US would had taken action years back but that is hindsight. Iran has also gotten wiser over the years. The US may see Iran as being a possiable contender in the arena of world power. Any country that posseses an nuclear weapon is a country that now has a say on the floor. For Israel to gather so much attention and focus I have wondered what it really is that gives it so much say. I can see no real way that Israel could ever be a real threat to Iran. Besides of Iran has it's sights set on anything it is the US and most likely would not waste its resources elsewhere. The two main threats to the US has been and remains today is N. Korea and Iran. Iraq was reduced to a sideshow after the gulf war. We abandon the Afghan rebels and got 911' We drew a line in the dirt and got a 50 year standoff with N. Korea. The principle to do what is right and be an example to the rest of the world.By going into Iraq with no proof of WMD's and then consistently changing the reason why is inconsistent with anything that may be right. Now, I have not said that taking out Saddam is a bad thing. I have veiwed Saddam as being a nutcase and a somewhat dangerous person for nearly 30 years. It is how it was done that shakes the foundation on which the principles of our country stands. Lead by being an example. Suppose Mexico has a beef with Canada and needs to go up there and kick some ass. Hey, we had fear of Iraq, right? Suppose they say "If your not with us, then you're against us and we will come after". Pretty much what Bush said. What if? By the US taking this step other countries are now free to attack who they want if they fear that someone MAY have big rock to throw. I fear that the guy who lives up in back of me might have a gun. Heard it from a good source. We have had it out once, The guy is a nutcase, Dangerous, Solely because I may fear him does not give me the freedom to attack him, nor does it give me the right as it is not the right thing to do. If someone points a weapon at you, you now have the right and it is the right thing to do. But you do not have that right because you anticipate him doing such. No one can anticipate exactly when an attack is going to occure. But when you yourself is the attacker that is not being an example. For the record I fully supported attacking Al- Quida and the Taliban. If I were able I would had joined back in and went. 20. So it is safe to assume that you believe that the US should attack whomever they wish with no true provocation? It is clear that N. Korea is a threat and a far greater threat than Iraq could had ever been. Yet, the government would not even dare attacking N. Korea as they do have an army that would put a major hurt on the US. And how about Iran? No chance of our government going into Iran. I was all for going into Iran in the late 70's and 1980. So I joined up. But as it turned out we gave support to Iraq all the while trading hostages for arms with Iran. Going into Iraq was a major blunder and goes against the principles of our country. Attacking Iraq did nothing for the US but drain resources that could had been used to weed out the real threat and by doing so put the US on the same level of the very faction that DID attack us. It also bolstered even greater hatred toward the US. Nothing will really change in Iraq. As soon as the US leaves, and we will sooner or later, the country will fall back into the hands of warring tribes and this blunder will be for nothing at all. 21. Your free to file all the frivolous lawsuits you want in prison and I fully plan to do so if not allowed to BASE off of the guard towers "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young
  22. No, just for annoying PLFXpert Read about it in the speakers corner "...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Neil Young
  23. Under a new law that bilvon posted, you can have her arrested. These types of crimes should not go unpunished. It is a crime that goes against the very grain of decency and the humanrace will forever be of a better nature if swift and just punishment were to be doled out to deter others from annoying us. 24. So, I am thinking that a lot of us will finally meet someday. Will we have a cell block of our own and who will run it? Who here is most qualified to be a cell boss? And what about prison gangs? Can we start our own? The Aryan Nation and Latin Kings will most likely keep their distance, cuz everyone knows that skydivers are just plain freakin' crazy. How about entertainment? Will we be allowed to do BASE off of the guard towers? or will we have to file a suit for inhuman treatment if not? Hope I am not annoying anyone. You will, however, be responsiable for all shipping fees and I will not be responsiable for any damage during shipping. Please note that all deals are finale and I do have a no return policy. Went back and lied. As a chick I am worth considerably more, $2,997,190.00. However, I do not believe that I will be lopping anything off for a few dollars more.
