Fear also makes for someone to never try anything risky in life. This ad space for sale.

I think we should require all degenerates to register. I don't want to live next to an alcoholic. What if one night, he's wasted and drives into my house. I don't want to live next to drug users either. What if they need a fix one day and come into my house and steal my stuff. Or immigrants. You never know what they're going to do next. See, people should just worry about themselves and stop thinking they're better than anybody else because they did (or didn't) do something. Once they get that taken care of, they can stop worrying about whether other people think they're all high and mighty. This ad space for sale.

Is that what I said? Hmm, not really. Putting someone to death is slightly different than detaining someone to ask a few questions or run a few tests. I could come up with an extreme example for any argument proving that what someones saying is incorrect, but it wouldnt give any credibility to it. Someone else said... kill all the Jews.. *sigh* What the fuck has this got to do with genocide? Go read the history of Nazi Germany and how they came about in power. A little bit of privacy now. Tomorrow it's just a little more. You yourself have directly compared a girl with flour in condom, as a homemmade anti-stress device, to flashing lights at a cop, laying down in front of a cop car, and taking an actual (albeit deactivated) gun into a plane, so don't go talking about good comparisons. Detaining someone for three weeks to run some tests isn't trivial. This ad space for sale.

there's no badge of honor in fucking up ... there's no badge of honor in going to hell you are stronger when you make it back though drugs/alcohol aren't the only thing that can take you there, war, depression, among other things can also take you there. also, when one's come back, he/she isn't looking for validation from others ... the fact that they respect themselves much more is enough This ad space for sale.

Wrong. It just makes the smart people get more creative. Smart drugs users have never had a problem getting their high. Getting ahead in life is about fronts. Having your job think you're a stand-up citizen who's the best and most dedicated worker, and then on weekends being able to outdrink and outsnort every motherfucker on the planet. whoa, buddy. Just cuz you've fucked up and gone down a hole doesn't necessarily mean you've fucked over your friends and family. and, what it means, is that person is now ten times stronger than what he would have been had he never done anything. I'm not condoning drug use/reckless for anybody, but the fwe who got caught up in it AND were able to pull themselves out and back together again have quite a bit going for them. but never say that everybody who does hard drugs or does them often (relative to normal society) fucks over their friends and family. Some do, but definitely not all. This ad space for sale.

i know that's how you feel ... i also know that's how our country is going ... i don't like it. but i'm out. This ad space for sale.

that's a bad analogy ... you actually have a gun there ... it's possible to hijack a plane with a "deactivated" gun. i wouldn't even consider this a good analogy, but it's closer: taking a bright orange plastic water gun filled with water, having them see that, see that it is plastic, then arrest you, and put you in jail for three weeks, while they determine that the liquid inside isn't poisonous. How about a girl in a liberal women's college as a phallic gag gift to squeeze when stressed. But you wouldn't know, as you're not a girl in a liberal women's college. This ad space for sale.

Once again, carrying a homemade anti-stress device attracts attention from a police office exactly how? It's funny, that in another post, on this thread: http://dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=2019357;#2019357 you state: except breaking and entering is much closer to being illegal than walking around with flour in condoms. edit to add: i undertand tha you are in the UK, and different laws and all, but if you claim there is nothing wrong with breaking and entering, but something wrong with what she did, there's some serious issues with uk laws ... Having debt is not the same as having bad credit. Bad credit is when you don't pay off debt. Having a lot of debt, but still making payments on it consistently gives you very *good* credit, even if you owe hundreds of thousands of dollars. Even the federal government's secure jobs (require serious background checks) recognize the difference between debt and bad credit. They also recognize the difference between student loan debt and debt racked up because of recklessness. This ad space for sale.

An employer has rights that a government would not have. Besides race, age, and sex discriminition, most states will allow an employer to fire you because they didn't like the shirt you were wearing. (I know Florida is that way.) However, just as much as theuy have a right to request you to do a drug test, you have just as much right to refuse it, and they have just as much right to not give you a job. It comes down to: Is it easier for you to find another job? or Easier for them to find someone as good as you? I'll go with the latter. However, if you're smart, you can pass a drug test, and still do drugs anyways. This ad space for sale.
