I dunno, I would be scared if the door opened and I wasn't wearing my rig... especially at that altitude, even if I was wearing my rig I'd have to ride it down if it were an emergency. How does she handle frustration? At age 26 I still can't handle packing, it makes me want to light a match and... well... So if she is like me, which I imagine at that age she is, I would say wait a while. But WTF do I know.... No kidding, I never thought I'd be watching some of the things I have been. I have never had an interest in gymnastics, but since I started skydiving I realize how hard it is to actually do some of this stuff, and I've got a minute whereas they are jumping off the ground and doing it. It's just amazing! p.s. i will never be in the olympics, I refuse to subject my body to whatever process it is that turns these people into physical perfection. ...exercise, you say? my point exactly. Canadian Bacon. Silly slapstick, but very timely. Was made around '95 and totally mocks the political situation now. John Candy's second to last film. ALan Alda, Rip Torn, Stephen Wright... "What about, you know, international terrorism?" "Mr. President! You don't expect us to go chasing around a bunch of creeps planning on blowing up rental cars, do you?" Gee.. and they say there's a connection between skydiving and drug use. I wonder where they got that idea? They, of course, being the uneducated dirty hill people whuffos, who probably couldn't find a dime bag with both hands, a drug sniffing dog, and those black helicopters that landed at SDC. Sounds like she's been practicing her emergency procedures... If a plane is flying at your building, run around like a chicken with it's head cut off, then eliminate avenues of escape. It's people like this that the "Executive Parachute" were made for. If you can't find the stairs on your own... well, try BASE jumping. For that matter, "Jump Around" by House of Pain could be motivational. I came to get down [2x] So get out your seats and jump around Jump around [3x] Jump up Jump up and get down. What chance would a complete whuffo have of surviving a jump?
Dougiefresh replied to jont's topic in The Bonfire
Silly question, if you ask me. Depends on so many variables that it's impossible to assign a number to it. One way to answer this question is to throw a bunch of whuffos out of a plane with random rigs on. For another variable, see if they can put the rig on correctly themselves.
