Listen to some jazz, you'll hear some rhythm skillz that'll put both these boys to shame... nothing against 'em, they're both good at what they do, but it takes a lot of skill to keep with Trane. Or Bird. Or Miles. Or Mingus. I could go on, but you get the picture. I don't think she likes the carseat. That picture is priceless! She's thinking, "I am going get you for this!" Although it's good practice for later in life, when she'll be in a skydiving harness all the time, right? RIGHT? Good. Let's talk about the Speakers Corner folks behind their backs...
Dougiefresh replied to SpeedRacer's topic in The Bonfire
I'm an independent. Not only do I avoid speaker's corner like the plague, I feel that both the right and left boobies have a valid position in this debate, and invite all parties back to my place to have an in depth and respectful discussion about whatever it is we're talking about. At which point I will vote for whoever will win. No shit, it's those people who are all about skydiving... until it's time to drive to the DZ. It's all talk until you're in the door looking down. If there was some other reference, I missed it. Check it out. Perhaps a repost, but what do I care... http://www.drafthouse.com/trailers/ape.html Funny stuff. Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so. --Douglas Adams

Well, except for the howling at the moon, running around on my hands and knees, and peeing on fire hydrants... ARRRROOOOO! Yum, can I come over? I'll help with the food, but the Heinekens are all yours. I'll bring some GOOD beer for myself. Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so. --Douglas Adams

As any good beer drinker knows, it depends on several factors. 1. Mood of drinking environment. 2. Temperature of drinking environment. 3. Mood of drinker. 4. Temperature of drinker. I'm partial to wheats, but I'll certainly drink something else if the situation calls for it. Except shitty watery american macrobrews. Those just suck. You can always try again... maybe you just need new flint to make the spark. Hang out on the forums for a while, I'll give you odds that you start to miss skydiving. If not, well, so be it. You're still a skydiver to us.

What jumps did you do in the beginning?
Dougiefresh replied to soarfree's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
You especially! I've been jumping alone for the most part, getting really comfortable in the air and seeing what I can do. Just play, work on being aware of your own body position and altitude. Try to sit. Try to track. Work on different exits. One really fun thing that I did this weekend for the first time is a cross-country. Out at 14, pull @ 10. Play with your canopy, feel the cold air and your legs going to sleep. Fly a mile away and then come back. Do it with someone else and try to follow them (not too close!) Spiral like a madman (woman in your case). most of all, have fun! Hey you SDCers! How long did AFP take you??
Dougiefresh replied to Jeth's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Did my first AFP last fall, then started for real as soon as it got warm in april. Graduated two weeks ago, so ~4 months for me. That's doing 3 jumps a week whenever I could. Dougiefresh after Dougie Fresh and His Stay Fresh Crew. Apparently it was some pop act in the 80's. College friends were responsible for that one. No, there was no Abu Grahib shit going on. Besides, I need my car battery! [public safety announcement] You're not supposed to do electrical play above the waist anyway, you can really damage your heart. [/announcement] Maybe I should write Dan Savage about this.... So let me get this straight... someone handed this woman a coin worth $1000, so she put it in her CHANGE JAR? Wow. How do you get a blonde to give up $1000? Make her park at a meter. Okay, so I had sex for the first time in 9 months last night. It was really really good, and she was quite talented, but I didn't ejaculate. Instead, I had like a 10 minute orgasm during which I was paralyzed. Could barely speak, and every muscle in my body was totally tense, but not in a cramping sort of way. My whole body tingled for a while. I was totally fine 1/2 hour later. Any other guys have this? Should I see a doctor? Or did I just manage to have the best sex I'm ever going to get? Women feel free to comment too. I think I scared her, she had never seen this before. p.s. no drugs involved, one glass of wine with dinner. edit: maybe I just forgot what it's like... All skydivers are hot. The problem is finding one that hasn't been on the DZ long enough for you horny little freaks to corner. Speaking of which, I hooked up just last night with a skybabe. After the beer and skinny-dipping, it was really rather easy. You're gonna be naked eventually. Cut to the chase! Naked good! Speaking of naked, I went skinny dipping last night w/ ~10 people. Co-ed fun in downtown Madison!
