  1. Missing option "this poll really sucks" I totally agree!
  2. Sorry, only ten options were available and the poll is based on THIS purity test that is being seriously considered by the Republican Party here in the U.S. The RNC Purity Test consist of ten statements, which (unless I missed something while generating the poll here) is the maximum number of poll items allowed.
  3. Personally I found it hilarious when people consider sending the soldiers to die overseas for some bogus reasons (where's the WMDs?) "securing nation interests", but consider providing healthcare to all citizens against nation interests. This is kinda very weird logic to me. I guess the"conservatives" on the far right really do support DEATH PANELS after all. So many claim to be pro life... yet really do support death on so many levels. I guess that is the definition of a good christian in this country.... support war... support death penalty... support the death of fellow americans who cant afford to live. You left out supporting the killing of illegal aliens by denying them health care or setting up land mines along the border
  4. This isn't about allowing individuals to express their religious beliefs. It's about the government being prohibited from imposing religion on the people. You can pray all you want to whatever you want, but the government is not permitted to force you to pray. The nativity scene doesn't force me to pray, but if it is sanctioned/paid for by the government it violates the First Amendment. If no public money is spent on it (which means the government shouldn't provide the space) then I have no problem with it. Has nothing to do with the the First Amendment. The government didn't do that. People can and should be allowed to pray anytime they want to. But (the government) asking children of agnostic/atheist parents to "observe" (whatever you want to call it) is equalt to the government "respecting an establishment of religion." That is prohibited by the First Amendment, as it should be.
  5. Well, he certainly fits the definition of "stupid": adj., -er, -est. 1. Slow to learn or understand; obtuse. 2. Tending to make poor decisions or careless mistakes. 3. Marked by a lack of intelligence or care; foolish or careless: a stupid mistake. 4. Dazed, stunned, or stupefied. 5. Pointless; worthless: a stupid job. n. A stupid or foolish person. He satisfies most of the criteria ... I would at least give him a 70% on the test.
  6. Yes and I am not going to explain it to you either. I promised that I wouldn't ask anyone to explain their score and that I wouldn't call them a "liar".
  7. Huh? I cut and pasted them verbatim from the RNC's "Purity Test" (changing the "we" to "I" in each case. Which one did I copy wrong? We'll it doesn't matter, you're definitely good for RNC funding
  8. Yes ... and Becks methodology definitely has been shown to work in the past: "Propaganda must always address itself to the broad masses of the people. (...) All propaganda must be presented in a popular form and must fix its intellectual level so as not to be above the heads of the least intellectual of those to whom it is directed. (...) The art of propaganda consists precisely in being able to awaken the imagination of the public through an appeal to their feelings, in finding the appropriate psychological form that will arrest the attention and appeal to the hearts of the national masses. The broad masses of the people are not made up of diplomats or professors of public jurisprudence nor simply of persons who are able to form reasoned judgment in given cases, but a vacillating crowd of human children who are constantly wavering between one idea and another. (...) The great majority of a nation is so feminine in its character and outlook that its thought and conduct are ruled by sentiment rather than by sober reasoning. This sentiment, however, is not complex, but simple and consistent. It is not highly differentiated, but has only the negative and positive notions of love and hatred, right and wrong, truth and falsehood." -- Mein Kampf, Adolf Hitler
  9. WHEREAS I am curious as to how my fellow skydivers score on this in general (well at least those who have nothing better to do than waste their time writing stuff in the Speaker's Corner) , and WHEREAS you do not have to offer any explanation of your score whatsoever, Be it resolved that I will not call you a liar, nor ask you to produce any transcripts in support of your score, Please take a few moments to answer these questions (all of them), whether you think they are fair or not. Please keep in mind that this is a purity test, so it's a simple YES or NO deal. I for one, am proud to say that I scored a big fat ZERO ETA: I would have liked to been able to add a choice for all NO, so only those who can score 1/10 or more will be able to be counted. Ironic, isn't it?
  10. Interesting points indeed! I won't be surprised to see Glen Beck graphically elaborating on them on his chalkboard sometime.
  11. They funded it by telling the neo-cons in congress that there were Muslin Terrorists on the moon. Muslin Terrorists? They didn't have to go to the moon to find those. There are still plenty of them in Indiana!
  12. I don't post much but I'm one Democrat that won't be revoting for Obama just because of that alone. Awww c'mon ... even if he ends up running against Palin/Beck??
  13. [Reply]Can't you peacefully coexist with those having a religious belief and expressing it? Is a bit of tolerance too much to ask all of us? This isn't about allowing individuals to express their religious beliefs. It's about the government being prohibited from imposing religion on the people. You can pray all you want to whatever you want, but the government is not permitted to force you to pray.
  14. If they put it up on government property, or use my tax money to erect it and support it, it not only pains me greatly every time I have to look at it, IT VIOLATES THE FIRST AMENDMENT!
  15. If that is a fair statement, then so is this: If you are one of the anti-gun control zealots, please don't pretend or project that our nation's founders promised you freedom from the slightest hint of gun-control in your life. It would help us all if the most radical and vocal segment of the whopping 8% of Americans who don't believe in gun-control would take a chill pill, and stop their bitching whining and lawsuits every time the subject comes up. Edited: Too many double negatives
  16. You said, "Our government is prohibited from making any law respecting an establishment of a religion ..." The Constitution says, "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof ..." Do you think the choice of words is significant?
  17. Yet more fucking proof you don't listen to him and you get your opinions regarding him elsewhere. You should really stop commenting about him. You keep proving you don't have any idea about him or what he says or stands for Or, pick a different site to get your opinions (made for you) about him. Either will work Nice. So you try to change the thread into a personal attack against Quade instead of defending your hero, Dipshit.
  18. Wouldn't you at least want to check to make sure that it's not a pregnant woman? Otherwise you'd be an accessory to murdering an innocent human being.
  19. To me, this would be wrong. EVERY American should have the best care we can give them, regardless of their social, economic, or military status. There are many other ways in which we can and should reward military service.
  20. "Lets take down that wall!" Who buys into this CRAP?
