Never jumped a Sabre, but I have about 450 jumps on Spectres. I'm not sure why you have limited yourself to these two canopies, but I think there are a lot better choices out there than the Spectre. I like my Storm better, and I like my Pilot much better! Pilots open comfortably without that long, long snivel of the Spectre, and the landings are MUCH better. Hey, I learned math in plumbing school, where the first course was, "How to Write a Bill." They figured if you couldn't write a bill you couldn't be a plumber. I'm a plumber and it seems that every time I do a plumbing job in my own house something goes haywire, especially when my wife gets involved. Her: That looks crooked. Guaifenesin is all natural and it is terrific. Take it with LOTS of HOT water. Water as hot as you'd drink for coffee of tea. Don't eat or drink anything cold. Second the nasal rinse, too. I'm hoping the Pilot is the best for both soft openings and easy landings because I just ordered one! Pass on the Spectre IMHO due to relatively poor flare. Front risers suck as well.
