Please don't confuse 'gun culture' with 'gang culture'.

I know where you're going with this, and no.

You do realize those are two different words right?

We'll in that case I'll assume that it's pretty obvious they're not the solution. No private company has the power to force things on people - so if you want everyone to have it, even if they don't want it, that's you're only choice. I lean towards the option of letting people make their own decisions. Government doesn't like to talk about solutions that don't involve them. I've heard many different suggestions - all better than letting the federal government take control. Agreed, and that's exactly why they don't need to be involved. You can't give them the power to provide something without also giving them the power to take it away. I don't think most people are being denied anything - I think they're just upset when they're expected to pay for it. That, in combination with politicians looking for attention and the next thing that needs more of them in it is the real 'crisis'. Understandable - it's a pretty common thing. I'm probably as tired of saying it as you are of hearing it. I know there are issues with the health care system, but I just honestly think govt has no chance of improving it, and even if they make it much worse than it already is, they'll never give it up. Look at the plan MA has implemented in their state - the plan Obama is pushing is similar. -

I heard a term yesterday that I think is appropriate for the US right now - "credit card rich". I'd say the same thing. I mean if big government was the answer, everything would be fixed by now. -
Mmmm... Dead Guy Ale. I had some of the Double Dead Guy Ale at a Boston Brewfest a few weeks back that was really good, but I can't really justify 16$ for a bottle of beer. Ever had any Hop Stoopid from Lagunitas? They had the big bottles on sale for $3.99 at my local beer store and I've been thinking about picking a few up.

On the other hand, have you ever had someone tailgating you while riding a motorcycle? If the cop was close enough, I can easily see how it would have created a situation where it was unsafe to slow down. (Getting hit from behind on a bike = pretty painful death). Unfortunately we don't have both sides of the story, but the people that did have both sides appear to have seen some fault in the way the pursuit was handled.

Be sure to give it a few minutes to get an IP from the router, sometimes they're a little slow. Also, you may want to make sure there isn't some type of security involved that prevents it from connecting (my first guess would be MAC filtering, but that's pretty rare on wired connections to these types of routers)

If the government was supposed to pay for every ding, dent, and scratch would people take better or worse care of them? Without some form of motivation or accountability to change (some type of negative outcome), there will be no change. It's exactly why government is always more costly than private enterprise - there's not motivation not to be. -

For a "constitutional scholar" his understanding of the US Constitution seems especially lacking. -
http://www.nber.org/digest/may03/w9281.html Where'd you get yours? Oh, wait, you didn't give any, you just made an emotionally-based blanket statement. Good times. Yes, I do. People may just choose to spend their money on other stuff. For me I'd like to have the option to help people. How is the government taking my money at the point of a gun patriotic in any way, shape, or form? I believe that people are generally good and will help those in need, whereas you appear to believe that they're not and the government must force them to. Why is that?

Nice try. Only about 10-11% of people that are uninsured truly "can't afford it". A very significant percentage of the uninsured make $50k+ annually, and simply chose not to purchase insurance. So I should have to pay for health care for those that choose not to purchase insurance? How patriotic.

I'd guess somewhere around 10-20k, if not more. Some of the RC turbine engines are $5k+ each.

No they weren't. And calling anyone "shitbags" doesn't bolster your argument - it just makes you look immature. No they're not. Tell me, how is spending money you don't have in an economic downturn the right thing to do? It's gambling, as the current admin. has no idea what they're doing. Don't think so? Tell me, how many verifiable metrics have they used to note their progress? "Jobs saved?" Pure BS. Once again, name-calling just weakens the point you're trying to make. So how is that any different than the "Making work Pay" tax "credit" ? Both parties create legislation that has an effective name but is absolutely ineffective in function. The current admin. just seems to want to do it faster than anyone has before. And as far as giving "lip service" to things, how's that campaign promise Obama made to allow 5 days of public comment before signing bills? I think he's made it his goal to see how much unread legislation he can get passed. Except you're ignoring the fact that Liberals & Democrats outnumber conservatives in the education environment by 3 to 1. (*http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A8427-2005Mar28.html) So tell me, who is raising a nation of selfish dumbasses who can't think and reason worth a shit? * Yes, I know this is probably a biased article, but it's pretty common knowledge that conservatives are rare in this area.

This make sense?

So if x = 3.9..., then 10x cannot be represented by 39.9...
-
The problem is that multiplying 3.9... by 10 doesn't give you 39.9... It gives you 39.9...0. One number would end in 9, the other would end in a 0.

Sometimes I wonder how some people are still living...

Yup. Even if she is a victim of her own carelessness. It's about taking responsibility for one's own actions, and in this case, inaction. If the hole wasn't there, sure she wouldn't have fallen into it. Had she been paying attention she wouldn't have either. I'm not saying it was 100% her fault, as it's not, but her choice to text message instead of looking where she was going directly affected the outcome of the situation. If she'd would have accepted partial responsibility for it I'd be more understanding, but calling the media and lawyering up the minute she got out of the shower gets her no sympathy from me. -

It's a Belgian-Style Strong Pale Ale made in Portland, ME. It's in the same class as Duvel and Delerium Tremens, two more popular beers of this style. From their website: This golden hued ale is marked by passion fruit and herbal notes in the aroma, with subtle suggestions of banana and honey surfacing from its deep and complex palate. The Tripel's finish is remarkably long and soothing. It's 9.0%abv and mighty tasty.

Had one Allagash Tripel, but I ran out... So water it is.

Assuming a normal market (no interference from Unions / Gov't), if they're not earning it they won't be making it for long. Typically people make what other people are willing to pay them. If a project manager isn't making $20/hr (assuming that isn't the average pay for them in the area), then there's something interfering with the market, or they're not a very good project manager.

Very easy procedure when I had it done. 1. Get some meds to knock yer ass out. 2. Wake up about 20-30 minutes later feelin' like you've slept all night. 3. Go home and have a mild sore throat for a few days.
