    Stop pretending that decreasing taxes works. The evidence of the past 30 years shows that it doesn't. Decreasing taxes without decreasing spending certainly doesn't, and you could make the argument that decreasing taxes w/o lowering spending isn't a true tax decrease, it's just a tax deferment. Does decreasing spending and taxes work? I'm not sure it's ever been tried.

    I've only lived in this state for a few months, but I'd really like to put a boot up Chris Dodd's ass - along with the Senate "ethics" committee that found no wrongdoing with the sweet deal of a mortgage he got from Countrywide. Hopefully Peter Schiff will get to tear him a new one during debates sometime next year. Gotta love a candidate that both parties hate.

    It would appear so. So there's this massive right-wing conspiracy involving the entire national media to falsely report many, many instances of ACORN fraud? Sounds a little more illogical than the birth certificate thing. Look at our current president - it should be pretty obvious (note that I'm not defending McCain here). I have. Their goal is to register people to vote - how they do that seems to be the question. Their methods of doing seem to be questionable on many occasions. (Mickey Mouse? Really?). You could have just said "for the left-leaning righties" , who are pretty much democrats based on their actions anyway. Like Tony Romo and Terrell Owens in Nevada? Mickey Mouse in Florida? A 7 year-old girl in another state? So why then does Obama keep doing it? Tell me, based on his actions, how is he any different than the last president? Because most of the right is actually on the left?

    No. Re-read what I said - mentioned nothing about the government keeping the money. Person A has $100 that they would normally spend at store A. Government takes the $100 from Person A and gives it to Person B to spend at Store B (Car Dealers) Your argument: Store B benefits, it's all good right? My point: Person B and Store B benefit at the expense of store A and Person A. The money doesn't come out of nowhere.

    Of course, if that $100 that someone would have spent in your store gets taken by the government and given to people to spend at the other store and your wife loses her job, you might not come out ahead.

    Well hell, it's only a trillion dollars, why don't we just waste more of it? And it does nothing to restart the economy, it just diverts money from something people would have spent it on to something the government wants to spend it on - there's no net gain. Your logic is what got the country in this mess in the first place. A billion dollars is 1,000,000 people having to pay an additional $1,000 + interest in taxes.

    It sure would help if those pushing the current health care proposals were less interested in hearing themselves talk and actually listened to the proposals that others have come up with instead of ignoring them and pretending they didn't exist.

    Having run through much simpler courses than the one in Dave's video on much smaller bikes, I can tell you that what the police are doing in that video takes 10x the skill of what that guy was doing in traffic.

Scroll down to the second poll on the page, the one by FoxNews. http://www.pollingreport.com/p.htm She's like a little annoying dog that won't shut up and won't go away I like McCain better than Obama (well, disliked him less), but I'm not sure what the hell he was thinking...
