  1. I would surely endo if I rode your bike. I did that a few years back after riding a dirtbike all day. Was coming up on a driveway pretty quick and grabbed a fistfull of brake to slide the back tire. Grabbed the wrong one.
  2. Sorry....just reminded me of this tape of him.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S3GT9UN7nDo&feature=related
  3. To be Isolationist? No. Non-Interventionist? Yes. Convincing politicians is the hard part.
  4. Be sure to check the volume control for the mic. Alot of time it's set to mute by default.
  5. Absolutely. I haven't been there since he left, but I think he's getting to jump more than he used to.
  6. I agree. We just differ on who in congress shares those interests. If you'd said Ron Paul, I'd understand, but Barney Frank just doesn't make any sense. I'd agree with him on the Marijuana bill, but that doesn't mean he has interest in less government. Even a broken clock is right twice a day. So because it's less restrictive than it could be that makes it more free than simply not passing it? Isn't that kind of like letting the air out of your tires so you won't get a flat? Did you read that bill. Here are the issues I have with it: What "other purposes"? Scary thought. So who is going to be doing the "enforcing" ? So basically the Tres. Sec. gets to do what ever he wants with the industry? It's about the money, not about "protecting" people. Yep. Definitely about the money..
  7. That's one of the most ridiculous statements I've ever heard. If you truly believe this, you're one of the most naive people I've ever come across.
  8. What guns? I sold all my guns a while back.
  9. Nor am I. Unfortunately I think Obama will eventually bail them out. I think the only reason he hasn't yet is so that he can claim that he did so regretfully, had no choice, etc..
  10. I think the majority of the budget cuts that have been proposed are mostly just pathetic appeals for the Federal Government to give them money so that they won't have to actually make any cuts.
  11. The "other sign" you mention specifies UNLICENSED carry and is found in MANY other places besides those serving/selling alcohol. The only applicable signage barring CCW carry in a business is the 30-06 sign and the 51% sign, unless the law has changed. That said, the owner of a property (or someone with the apparent authority to act for the owner) *CAN* verbally deny permission for CCW holders to carry on his property. Invoking that *CAN* be something of a gray area, as many businesses do not own the buildings they operate from. Best practice: 30-06 sign, 51% sign, or owner that tells you that you can't carry in his place of business? Spend your money at places that *DO* support your 2nd amendment rights. The only recent changes I'm aware of were that they made it a requirement that the 51% sign be visible at the entrances to the establishment to constitute effective notice. I ran into this issue when carrying into a place that didn't have a sign displayed anywhere but behind the bar.
  12. My first thought was "capitalism at work".
  13. Ever had anything from Unibroue? Wonderful Canadian beer. I really like the Don De Dieu and La Fin Du Monde that they make. And with many of the craft breweries you find a higher abv than most mass-produced stuff ("The Beast" that I mentioned above from Avery is 16.4%abv - and you still can't taste much of the alcohol in it).
  14. One of the best beers ever brewed! My top three favorites: Dogfish Head or Victory or Oskar Blues I just opened a bottle of it a few minutes ago.
  15. Drinking "The Beast" from the Avery Brewery in CO right now.... I am sooo jealous of you CO people right now... Had "The Reverend", "Collaboration Not Litigation Ale", and "Salvation" from them last week... Awesome beers. So what''s your favorite brewery/beers?
  16. So you criticize him for 'making a scene', then you insult him for picking not picking a worthy cause ?
  17. I think the B-list politician you're speaking of would be proud of that title considering the present-day definition of 'A-list' politician. The big picture? You mean like government constantly overstepping it's authority at every opportunity? So your definition of an 'educated decision' is interrogating a guy with $4700 in a plain cash box and letting someone with no ID on an airplane?
  18. 1. Someone that finishes a fundraiser and heads straight to the airport to go home. 2. Someone that doesn't know where a local branch of their bank is in a distant city (if there even is one). 3. Someone not trying to hide that they're carrying a moderate amount of cash. If the guy had it shrink-wrapped and sewn in to the suitcase, I'd say he was looking to cause trouble. In this case, I think he was just trying to get on a plane to get somewhere.
  19. He has no reason to ask, as it's not his job to find out. Asking a question is one thing. Detaining someone, harrassing them and making threats is a different story. Ok. I see it doesn't contain any weapons or any other banned materials. Next. It's that easy, assuming the guy does his job - but this guy was curious and tried to use his magic "baggage screener" powers to satisfy his curiosity. Ok, and the proper response would be: Unless cash is now an explosive material, what's the problem? Confusing them? By asking them a simple question they should know the answer to assuming they have the least bit of competency? This TSA's job isn't to investigate why someone has cash, they're there to keep planes from being hijacked and blown up. They're not the IRS. This guy didn't make a scene, he just responded to a scene created by the TSA.
  20. And by that you mean resisting answering a question he should never have been asked, by someone who had no business asking the question, after being pulled aside for a breaking a rule that doesn't exist?
  21. Wonder how much cash he gets out of this? Hope it's just an attempt. He's WAY down the list, if you're talking about campaign contributions - #16. Fanny/Freddie contributions, 1989-2008 1. Dodd, Christopher J D-CT $133,900 2. Kerry, John D-MA $111,000 3. Obama, Barack D-IL $105,849 4. Clinton, Hillary D-NY $75,550 5. Kanjorski, Paul E D-PA $65,500 6. Bennett, Robert F R-UT $61,499 7. Johnson, Tim D-SD $61,000 8. Conrad, Kent D-ND $58,991 9. Davis, Tom R-VA $55,499 10. Bond, Christopher S 'Kit' R-MO $55,400 11. Bachus, Spencer R-AL $55,300 12. Shelby, Richard C R-AL $55,000 13. Emanuel, Rahm D-IL $51,750 14. Reed, Jack D-RI $50,750 15. Carper, Tom D-DE $44,389 16. Frank, Barney D-MA $40,100 Ugh... Dodd. I'm almost ashamed to admit I live in a state he 'represents'.
  22. I'm trying to imagine the same situation, except that when the TSA opens the box they find a couple of vibrators & other sex toys. Would they be justified in grilling the guy about why he had them? Would his response then be unreasonable? I don't see why some would think it's OK to question him about one but not the other. I mean, it'd be one thing if the guy had $2 million in cash hidden in the suitcase, but we're talking about $4,700 in a cash box. Even if it were the TSA's job to investigate money laundering or drug activity, this shouldn't even be a blip on the radar for either one.
  23. Our government only cares about their (re)electability, image in the media, and personal finance. Everything relating to matters of citizens of this and other countries is a distant fourth. Our nation (referring to the people, not the government) is probably closer to your statement.
