Dont get me started on insurance companies. They are vial and a bunch of freaking thieves. Got in a hit and run three months ago and so far I've dished out close to 2.5K (some of that I saved up for my main ) out of my own pocket, even though I have full coverage. All this because they are 'still investigating the accident." Of course they'll reimburse me but a few month down the line. There's only one thing more evil than insurance companies...IRS.

For 70 buck a year its worth it. You can get hurt in some of the strangest ways, like many have posted here. My co-worker broke his leg falling off a step ladder at home, WTF? A freaking step ladder.

Pictures to help you determine who to vote for

That's what I thought. Didn't the WH blame his two buds Jim Beam and Jack Daniels for his fall though. -
Yep, I hope the bull ripped him a new one. Bullfighting has to be one of the most barbaric events ever.

Yeah my first chop was fun in a weird way. Nice way to get an extra shot of adrenalin after the free fall. I don't remember tossing the red, but I remember chucking the silver and going "CRAP shouldve kept that." On a other note I remember looking up at the reserve's slider and going "Hey where are the two strings I use to collapse it."

I love E.E Cummings. One of my favs The Eagle by: e.e. cummings It was one of those clear, sharp.mustless days That summer and man delight in. Never had Heaven seemed quite so high, Never had earth seemed quite so green, Never had the world seemed quite so clean Or sky so nigh. And I heard the Deity's voice in The sun's warm rays, And the white cloud's intricate maze, And the blue sky's beautiful sheen. 2 I looked to the heavens and saw him there,-- A black speck downward drifting, Nearer and nearer he steadily sailed, Nearer and nearer he slid through space, In an unending aerial race, This sailor who hailed From the Clime of the Clouds.--Ever shifting, On billows of air And the blue sky seemed never so fair, And the rest of the world kept pace. 3 On the white of his head the sun flashed bright; And he battled the wind with wide pinions, Clearer and clearer the gale whistled loud, Clearer and clearer he came into view,-- Bigger and blacker against the blue. Then a dragon of cloud Gathering all its minions Rushed to the fight, And swallowed him up in a bite; And the sky lay empty clear through. 4 Long I watched. And at last afar Caught sight of a speck in the vastness; Ever smaller, ever decreasing, Ever drifting, drifting awayInto the endless realms of day; Finally ceasing. So into Heaven's vast fastness Vanished that bar Of black,as a fluttering star Goes out while still on its way. 5 So I lost him. But I shall always see In my mind The warm, yellow sun,and the ether free; The vista's sky,and the white cloud trailing, Trailing behind,-- And below the young earth's summer-green arbors, And on high the eagle,--sailing,sailing Into far skies and unknown harbors

Slow or High Speed Mal: Which is harder to deal with?

What's the most common cause of a spinning mal? Just curious. Also are spinners more common amongst certain canopy types, like HP? -
Nobel peace laureate says AIDS deliberately created

Checked out his website and bought the book on Amazon, it's 500 plus pages so give me a while to read it. His theory sounds really intresting though. -
Report: Al-Qaida prisoners have ‘disappeared’
Casurf1978 replied to rhino's topic in Speakers Corner
What about the Oath you took when you became a soldier. Didn't it say something about protecting the constitution of the United States? So I take it your OK with throwing away the Bill of Rights if it assures a win against terrorist. Then again is that a win? The scenario you propose is a win, not for freedom though. -
Nobel peace laureate says AIDS deliberately created
Casurf1978 replied to Gravitymaster's topic in Speakers Corner
Intresting read, but it just seems way too far fecthed conspiracy theory BS for me. If you look at the history of virology his argument doesnt make sense. He also states that we tested AIDS in sheep . I think he wants to say HIV. Someone can have HIV and not have AIDS. Someone that is HIV+ can give you HIV but not AIDS. AIDS cannot be transmitted to sheeps, monkeys or any animal. AIDS is caused by HIV and your CD4+ cell count going under 200. Even this simple mistake on his part makes me doubt the validity of his theory. It's plain and simple BS. -
Nobel peace laureate says AIDS deliberately created
Casurf1978 replied to Gravitymaster's topic in Speakers Corner
Intrestring articles, but the first case of AIDS can be traced to a man in the Congo back to the 1950s. His blood was tested for the HIV virus and it came out positive. So now here's the real mind f. If we didn't know about DNA till the 1950s how the hell could we manipulate a virus, especially the HIV one, w/o knowing about DNA. Hell it took Dr.Gallo and the French, flame away , years since the first case came up in the States to isolate this bug. They couldnt even get enough of this sucker for viable readings. -
Very scary way to live. I think it was Franklin who said "Those who desire to give up freedom in order to gain security, will not have, nor do they deserve, either one." Fear and paranoia drive people to do scary things.

It's technology, it how we use it that is the problem. I'm all for RFID devices. The possabilites are endless. As an example, tracking animals both wild and domestic. My dog has one in her shoulder, the size of a grain of rice. How about for robberys. Guy robs a bank, teller slips a bill that has a tracking device. Jeff you got a cell phone? Guess what it has a tracking device, when you call 911 they can pin point you within a few feet. How about giving a tracking device to soldiers or people in hostile areas. The possibilities are endless, as are the ones for abusive. The problem lies in not crossing that line.

Same-Sex Marriage Amendment Fails in House
Casurf1978 replied to narcimund's topic in Speakers Corner
QuoteI still haven't seen anybody willing to tackle my question about why incest is not OK.Quote I'd say looking at it from a purely scientific point of view incest is harmful to the offspring and our survival as a species. Look at the royal familys of Europe. Queen Victoria married her first cousin Prince Albert just look at their offspring. In the Romanovs, Alexi was a hemophelliac. A gene traced to I think Queen Victoria. He wouldnt have made it past his 16 birthday, thus ending the Romanov dynasty. Now looking at it from a social point of view as a social species we are programmed to expect certain types things from certain relationships, when those get confused we get confused. For men try thinking about your mom is a sexual way...oh god eewww. For the girls out there try thinking about your father as a lover not your dad. To say that allowing gay marriage will allow incestial relationship to develop is BS. We are pre programmed to have aversions to copulating with kin. Like many have said it before. The same argument was used with inter-racial marriage in the 1950s, it would lead to borther/sisters marriages. Did it? -
Same-Sex Marriage Amendment Fails in House
Casurf1978 replied to narcimund's topic in Speakers Corner
Define family? One of my best friends in high school was raised by his dad and his dad's bf of 15+years. He came out just fine. In my eyes they were a loving family, not some aberation of nature. Hell most of my friends and myself included are products of single parent households. The definition of 'family' has changed greatly since the 1950's when a nuclear fam was viewed as the norm. Guess what, it will contiunuely change. Get use to it. Do you have any hard scientific proof that growing up in a gay household is traumatizing to children. I can tell you one thing that is way more traumatizing to kids, TV. "FACT: The average American child will have watched 100,000 acts of televised violence, including 8000 depictions of murder, by the time he or she finishes sixth grade (approximately 13 years old)." Now that is a scary fact. That fact should scare the bejesus out of any parent. Divorce harms society and kids way more than gay marriage ever will. Ever seen what an ugly divorce does to a family? What about infidelity? Over 50% of marriages end in divorce. What about couples who have kids and cant afford them? What about drug abusers who have kids? The list goes on and on as to what harms society, and gay marriage pails in comparison to each one. If your main concern is society, then we should have marriage tests to screen out potential marriage failures. I'm all for it. The test should be based on genetic traits of both adults(screen out potential wife abusers and genetic birth defects to potential offspring), income, and other factors. If two consenting adults who love each other want to start a family what the f is wrong with that? -
Read the report the ACLU put out: The Growth of an American Surveillance Society. Pretty freaking scary. Some might say its BS and far fetched, but not after reading your post.

Actually I was looking forward to this debate, former CEO versus a former trial lawyer. Both have to be excellent speakers. You're right though, Cheney had ice in his veins tonight, nothing phased him.

Same-Sex Marriage Amendment Fails in House
Casurf1978 replied to narcimund's topic in Speakers Corner
Of course it did. Can anyone give a logical reason as to why it should be legal? Why can't I have the same rights as you? That's easy. It cause you're different and do not deserve the same rights as the 'normal' people do . Same argument was used in the 50s with the civil rights movement and same argument was used in the early 1900's with womens suffrage. What these poor fools dont realize is that we are all human beings. The simple idea of equality escapes most of these individuals. Another notion that is hard for them to comprehend is this quote: "a democracy is not judged by how it treats the majority, but how it defends the rights of the minority." Of course then they will say that it's the law and thus illegal, but how just is a law that deprives rights to a certain group of individuals who are different from the rest. You also have to realize that marriage is such a sacred and noble insitution that allowing a same sex union will soil and tarnish thousands of young influential minds. God only knows what same sex unions will do to the fabric of society. I mean Adam and Steve getting married in San Francisco will just confuse the hell outof a little Timmy living in North Carolina. Soon Timmy will want to marry his pet dog. It will happen. What we need are people like Britney Spears, or Kobe Bryant as examples of what perfect marriages are like. -
Fitness people! How to minimize soreness from a workout?
Casurf1978 replied to Rebecca's topic in The Bonfire
First off congrats on joining a gym. Secondly what Pajarito said sums it up. Take it slow, warm up before exerciseing, drink lots of water, eat right, and REST. Also there is a huge difference between pain and soreness. Basically what you will experience is called Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness, DOMS for short. -

QuoteVictory for what? The homosexual agenda?Quote What's the agenda? Is it like some ultra top secret gay subversion headed by the international gay conspiracy to sap and impurify all of our precious bodily fluids? -
Poor man died in a hospital bed paralyzed from the neck down. He thought he would be killed in a battle. Intresting that he died right after the end of WW2. Sometimes I wonder what the World would be like if they wouldve let him go after the Russians.

Yeah I heard he added extra stuff. I dont know if I will dish out 50+ bucks to buy them. Would you buy em again?

Another good quote from Patton and his use of profanity: "When I want my men to remember something important, to really make it stick, I give it to them double dirty. It may not sound nice to some bunch of little old ladies at an afternoon tea party, but it helps my soldiers to remember. You can't run an army without profanity; and it has to be eloquent profanity. An army without profanity couldn't fight it's way out of a piss-soaked paper bag."
