I think youre missing one huge factor in this equation: culture. We didn't understand the Vietnamese culture and we dont understand the middle eastern one. To us suicide bombers are insane, yet to some in their culture they are martyrs. Kill an infedel and go straight to heaven where 72 virgins await you. How can we defeat an enemy if we dont understand them? I wonder how many know the difference between a Suni and a Shite, or how important some of their clerics are to them. I agree with you 110%. A visit to the ER, ICU have a few surgeans look you over can max out an Amex Black card. I had simple type 1 fracture on my arm and it ran around 2K, after all the doc visits, ER and stuff. Not only that but I think someone brought up a good point (previous post) that when you're unisured and admitted to a hospital you might have to sign a waiver stating that the hospital can sue on your behalf. I wouldnt sue the DZ, but you can see where this is going. I dont know if this is true, but I wouldnt put it past them. I know here in Cali we have a Hospital Lien Act.

Not to sure, but lean towards bad idea. Behind a sealed armored compartment the pilot has more options at his disposal than to open up the cockpit and expose the controls of the aircraft to terrorists. Cant pilots control the pressure and 02 of the main cabin hence basically allowing them to put the passengers to sleep, could he put the plane in a sharp decent or climb to throw people that are standing up off balance. I'd like to hear what some commercial pilots have to say about this. Like I said I lean towards bad idea, but will also keep it open to discussion. I'm all for having armed air marshalls on board as long as they blend in though.

I can see them going under in a few years time. With places like Netflix, Pay Per View and new technology popping up their days are numbered. In a few years time I can see you sitting at home going through an online DB of movies and picking which one you want to watch, downloading it and viewing it as many times as you want for a week. Have you also seen those disposable DVDs? You rent a DVD and its good for a few days, afterwards the thing turns solid black or blue so your player can't read it.

STUPID drivers. Almost got side swipped by a dumb ass today. Blinker on, going into the turning lane to make right hand turn, well this A-HOLE just had to drive like an F-1 racer in a Jetta so he blatanlty drives fast and passed me in that line so he can make the turn before I can. What's your current ab regime like? Who also told you that your lower abs are weak? It's a common misconception that you can isolate the 'lower abs' and 'upper abs'. The muscle most people talk about is the rectus abdominus. The flat front part of the abs. You're best bet would be to develop a regime that targets all the muscles of the abs: obliques, rectus, and the others. You should also look into taking a pilates class, those will really work out your abs. PM me and I could send you a bunch of links on ab exercises.

Ever wonder why the book publishing houses come out with 'new/revised' editions every few years. You have the third edition this semester and next year they put out the 4th edition. Your third edition is basically worth squat now. I remember some Profs at my Uni refused to get new editions just to keep the cost down for us.

DAMN you're lucky. Our boss is a cheap ass mofo. The office holiday 'party' is at his pad and its from 5:30 to 8:30, so basically come look at my 12K+sq foot house, drink the cheap ass alcohol then LEAVE. I've been working here for three years now and I wont got to the party.

I'm all for First Amendment protection, but should it apply to group which incites hatered and promotes violence time and time again. Would you still apply it to protect a group of lets say men marching with green or white hoods, black pants and headband bearing the inscription “ Jerusalem Battalions” in Arabic. Yeah they're marching expressing their first amendment rights, but the 'Jeruslaem Battalions' are very closely linked violent groups in the mid east.

It's the KKK though. A group with a long history of violence and supporting violent, white-supremacist groups throughout the nation. Even today ties exist between the KKK and other radical groups and individuals: Church of the Creator, Aryan Nation, Tom Metzger, Alex Curtis, etc. I too dont agree with the Black Panthers, but that group is long dead. They KKK isn't.

Do you have any idea the ripple effect it would have if we kicked out all the illegal immigrants. Certain sectors would be screaming for cheap unskilled labor. You'd walk into the supermarket and end up paying an ungodly ammount for simple things like grapes, tomatoes etc. They fill jobs most native workers wouldnt do for the pay illegals get.
