Somewhere some 20K lawyers are saying "CRAP all those billable hours we could've had."
-
Actually the market likes an incumbent. Doesnt matter if its Dem or Rep, main reason is that the market already knows where they stand.

Still curious as to the definition of a 'traditional' American family. Do you mean married biological father and mother?
-
Just curious as to the defintion of an 'American Family'.

I'm there with you bro. Tired of all these CNN, NYT, LA Times polls. I just want this thing to be over with soon. Voted already and greatful to live in a country where I can vote

Both Bush and Kerry have aramadas of lawyers reading to dispute any small thing that pops up tomorrow. I agree with you though, in a race so close one side will dispute the outcome.

Really? Name the terrorist orgs he sponsored, and which of those took an active role in 9/11.

Yep. Inside the Paki intell community there are many sympathizers with OBL and his cause. They helped him gather information during the Afghanistan war, hell they even helped him establish certain aspects of what would later become Al Quada during that period. I seriously doubt we will ever find him. We took our eye off the ball and now rely to heavily on the Pakis. He does look rather healthy in this video though, not like right after we went into Afghanistan. I remember in a previous one his right arm was hanging limp and hidden from the camera, plus he was really pale. Any thoughts as to if he wants to influence our elections with this video, or could it be a reminder that he's still out there and we havent caught him.

Why is it perplexing? I dont care if the Bible is wrong or right, in my view its just a book. Just like the Koran and other holy texts. Plain and simple book that to some its the end all be all holiest book out there with all the answers. Hell yeah I'll believe a Scientist who publishes his works to have them scrutinized by his peers. Look up the Drake equation, published in the 1960s and still used today by many. The answer to many of the questions you have are out there, all you have to do is look them up. How many stars? Well lets say billions and most would agree with me that's a conservative estimate. Age of the universe, again look it up. Most would use the Hubble constant and it comes out to 12+ billion years old. Types of stars. Look a H-R diagram for life cycles, you could also take a spectrograph of a star to see what its made out of. By using these two you could classify which stars would be the best candidates to have planets that might support life. Wait but we cant see those planets can we. Nope, but we can use certain equations to figure out if they have planets orbiting them. All these are proven to work. So yes I do believe them more than I do the Bible. Again if you believe the Bible fine with me, but in light of all the evidence out there I just cant take the Bible on plain and simple faith.

Yes, I find it impossible to believe that the Judea/Christian God created everything. For me it's far easier to try to comprehend the Big Bang than to believe God created everything. I'm not saying the Bible is wrong, but form a scientific point of view its hard to swallow creationism. If you take into account all the variables, number of stars, age of the universe, type of stars that are capable of having planets that can support life, number of those planets that contain carbon, water, and are not too cold or too hot for life, etc. Put all those into an equation and the chances of life evolving are pretty good.

It's rather simple. OK Japan attacked us in Dec 7, 1941, a few days later Italy and Germany declared war on us. Also remember Germany, Italy and Japan made up the Axis powers. Luckily for us and Britain Hitler was a f-ing moron and attacked Russia a few months before Pearl. Sometimes I wonder 'what-if' Hitler did not launch Barbarosa and Japan did not attack in 1941 what the World would look like now.

Yep same here. You know how these things usually come in 3s. Hope the next one is Castro.

Why? I looked at the website to find out how they calculate the electoral college results and came up blank. They said they have the 'world's most comprehensive Election 2004 database' yet provide not info on where they gather this data from.

This site is pretty good. Princeton Prof, bioscience and nueroscience, runs it: http://synapse.princeton.edu/~sam/pollcalc.html

It's not quite the same, in reality there is no comparisson. With the Marshall Plan in Europe the US nor Canada had any say as to the way the monies would be spent. A third party independant of the White House limted to four years governed by Europeans would determine where the money would go. This shows that Europe wanted to get back on it's feet. Europe pre WW2 already knew about trade, how to build roads, it's infrastructre etc. None of which the Iraqis know how to do. Even Marshall himself said this about his plan: "It would be neither fitting nor efficacious for this government to undertake to draw up unilaterally a program designed to place Europe on its feet economically." Second Quote: "This is the business of the Europeans. The initiative, I think, must come from Europe."

Did anyone notice the "Staff" label on the right side harness? -
I have two friends who are cops. You guys put up with a lot of shit and sometimes wonder if anyone besides a cop knows all the crap you go through on a daily basis. One of them was bitten by a 60 yo man, one of the nastiest things I've ever seen.

Hey that was my idea . I wanna swoop down there any buy some beach front property. Very few of his comrades that participated in his revolution are with him in Cuba now. Castro imprisoned a few of them when they questioned the way the 'revolution' was heading once Batista was overthrown. One in particular, Umberto Gomez I think is his name. He now resides in Miami heading one of the biggest anti-castro movements. Too bad what happened to Che didn't happen to Castro.

Yes I do. The Republicans will take the defeat like men...the opposite of how the Democrats dealt with it in 2000. You actually think the Dems are the only ones with lawyer ready? Both Dems and Reps have hundreds of lawyers ready to takle anything that could happen. Please Dems are not the only ones ready to cry election fraud and let loose the lawyers.

She swung at a police officer WTF? She knew what she was doing, she was warned several times to leave and refused, finally she swung at a cop. What's the cop supposed to do, stand there and just keep backing off? She deserved what she got. Maybe next time she will listen to a police officer.

I feel for you. I sprained my back at Snore a few weeks ago, I did a canopy transfer, then walked out the twists in the brake line, triple checked everything several time. Then as I was getting up and something felt odd. A few hours later my lower back was hurting bad. Short term solution to get through the pain motrin or Tylenol. Also you could lay with your back to the ground, bring your knees to your chest (kindof like fetal position, but back on the ground) grab your knees with your hands and slightly roll left to right emphasis on lower back. This will massage your lower back. Learned this in a pilates class. Long term solution, ABS. If you have strong ABS you will avoid most common lower back ailments. Stretch too, emphasis again on lower back. Like someone said take two or three pilates classes just to learn the stretching techniques they use. Hope you feel better.

You're doing the right thing with putting up flyers w/o the dogs picture or descrpition on it. You can also ask the caller if he or she has any pictures of the dog too for more proof. If I lost my dog I would be putting up flyers with her pictures on it and calling animal shelters, vets all around my neighbor hood. Also look at it this way. IF the dog had no ID tags on her whats that say about the owner. Either way you're doing the right thing.

I love it. People know you're loaded and they expect you to help everyone all the time. She made a mistake BFD. Yeah she's loaded but wasnt born that way, she too was a working women. Worked as an interpreter and fluent in 5 different languages, has also set up numerous philanthropies. IMO both are great examples of using their power to do good.
