If I'm not mistaken they are sheep balls. Right? I have no intention to ever try them. When ever I have helped butcher a sheep someone always ask's if we saved them. -
kind of neat getting to meet someone that you have known for a long time.

Bottled Water is Environmentally Unfriendly
jumpinfarmer replied to JohnRich's topic in Speakers Corner
Finally some sanity. I can't believe that so many people will pay so much for something that is virtually free. Bottled water normally costs more than soda or milk both of which cost far more to produce. Only in America can people be so stupid. -
Officail: I am the biggest whuffo!

Go to the USPA web site and order a copy of the SIM (skydivers information manual) It will give you all the details of AFF and static line progression. Yes you can get your liecense from static line, most people do. There are several people from LSPC that are on here so maybe some one from there will see this and help you out. -
what do you do for friend who just lost their pet?
jumpinfarmer replied to MyOwnWay's topic in The Bonfire
I think it is worse with a pet than a human sometimes. There isn't any funeral for a dog yet they are a part of the family many times. That said what I often have to do for friends who have lost a dog is dig a hole with my backhoe. Not a real touching thing but is is very appreciated. -
I agree that the price of fuel sucks big time. I use a lot of it and other things that depend on petroleum as well so my cost of production for our farm has went up tremendously. However I think limiting the profit a company can make is a very slippery slope. Turn this around and think what would happen if food doubled in price in a two year time.

How sad. I don't think they have made a good shotgun however since they quit the model 12.

Do you trun your heat down when you leave?
jumpinfarmer replied to Kid_Icarus's topic in The Bonfire
I have it set at 52-55 during the day when I'm out and 60 or so when I'm home. I only turn it up more when I get ready to take a shower, the bathroom warms up real fast. It is a big old house and even set real low the furnace never seems to shut off. -
We would go to the woods across from the house and play as kids. To get there you either walked through a field or take the short way through the pasture. We were told to stay out of the pasture because they had turned a bull out with the heiffers. We took the shortcut anyway one afternoon. I had never before nor since ran as fast as I did that day. I can still hear that angus bull beller as it came after us. We didn't make the fence but climbed an apple tree and stayed there almost all afternoon with him there bellering at us.

I don't think cramps last very long normally. I could be wrong but I have never had one last for more than a few painful minutes.

We haven't had much here yet this year, only a foot or so. Normally we have over 100" durring the winter. You just need to know how to make the best use of it, like riding a snowmobile.

Besides getting a friend to pee on an electric fence once. I think one of the worst things I have done though not intentionally was hit a friend in the head with an ax. After he woke up he was fine but for a few minutes I was scared shitless.

Contacts or glasses to jump?
jumpinfarmer replied to virginflyer3's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I where glasses and have little trouble except that I need over the glasses goggles. -
Because together we have a voice, maybe not a big or perfect one but a voice. Apart no one in Washington would listen to any concerns of skydivers.
