My point to both of you is that if they have someone that is driving them around every day, or are clearly able to function without an id, which means they do not drive, then it probably isnt too hard to hitch a ride to the DMV and get an ID and get registered to vote. If the "gathering up proper documents is an issue" I have already addressed that in a recent post, please go see that. -

So how are these highly functional people driving with no ID? -

My local cvs requires it on every pseudo ephedrine purchase, and has limits on how much and how often you can buy them as per law. -

I will go along with that as long as you agree that it benefits the dems to lax border security and voter security to allow illegal immigrants to vote for them while promising benefits. -

No joke that's why I assumed we were all talking about voter id being required to compare to the name on the polling place books that were compiled through voter registration. They go hand in hand..or else what are they going to compare the id to? I even specified how they do it in my state and how it would prevent all this as a model to follow. -

I posted you a good example for voter fraud that had plenty of evidence. Also suggested you search for more yourself, it's there plain as day. I agree it's not rampant voter fraud, but what exactly is the tipping point before you decide to close the door? You choose to ignore it. What a childish reply -

Ooh I know the meaning, what do you expect us to do post every Google result, then have a seperate debate on how much exactly equals a significant ammount? Usually one offender is enough for you guys to say that's too much, but I guess that only applies to bad cops. -

http://www.nhregister.com/government-and-politics/20140926/bridgeport-state-rep-christina-ayala-arrested-on-19-voting-fraud-charges Honestly just google "arrest voter fraud". It highlights the need to secure the integrity of the voting process. -

Ok I see the situation here, partially my fault for not clarifying. When I talk about voter ID requirements, its tied to registration. Otherwise why the hell else would you need to show them an ID, its not like they know everyone that is going to show them one by name. Its sad that I had to point that out to you, but you have extreme tunnel vision when it comes to topics, then use them to exploit your position. -
Thanks OBAMA! lol

What gave you that idea? Was it the statement where I said I want everyone to vote legally, but also secure the integrity of the voting process, or the part where I suggested governmental programs that would help people get an id if they could not on their own? Because none of that suggests what you claim.. -

Where is the FACT in this statement that you were alledgedly pointing out? You stated that I was willing to "disenfranchise tens of thousands of elderly and poor citizens." Please point out where that was my position. When infact I stated this Let me just point out to you that your using; RULE 3: “Whenever possible, go outside the expertise of the enemy.” Look for ways to increase insecurity, anxiety and uncertainty. (This happens all the time. Watch how many organizations under attack are blind-sided by seemingly irrelevant arguments that they are then forced to address.) RULE 5: “Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.” There is no defense. It’s irrational. It’s infuriating. -

If you do not think people will eventually take advantage of a situation that would allow them to get valuable items for free, please post your bank account details and PIN number and let's see how that works out. -

Completely incorrect. Where I live you have to register to vote you can only register in 1 district. This puts you in the books. When you show up to vote your name is on a list with an open spot next to it. You show your id, sign in the block next to your name no one can vote for you anywhere else period. If you are not registered there is a way to vote same day at the polls. You have to provide Id. When polls close the logs of persons who voted by id only have to be verified to ensure they only voted once before the Secretary of State verifies the election results. -

I'm 1000% on board with all of that. If you live in America legally I WANT ALL of you to vote. I just want to secure the voting system is all. -

You sure have trouble thinking outside the box dont you. So you never foresee people taking advantage of future voting if allowed to vote multiple times per day cross multiple locations? -

cvfd1399 replied to Anvilbrother's topic in Speakers Corner
Negative, you are freaking out, and applying typical attack tactics on me. Please think about the future, and what could happen if people are allowed to illegally vote for candidates who propose easier illegal border crossings, easier illegal voting access, and handouts. What do you propose if this would start occurring in the future? Someone here was talking about how the founding fathers came up with ways to prevent Tyranny of the majority, because humans realized they could take advantage of the system. I propose that this same thing will happen IN THE FUTURE, if we continue to go the way we are with voting laws. I am sure if forced to there is a way to ensure every legal American can register to vote, or get an ID without causing them undue hardship. Would you be ok with requiring ID to vote if the government facilitated resources such as help obtaining birth certificates, transportation, and registration? This program would be audited by public groups such as the fair elections network etc. to ensure it was fair and adequate? -

So are you saying when a current administration is giving away or suggesting that if they are elected they will give away free/reduced healthcare, benefits, housing, and school, while also easing border security, and stopping voter id laws, that illegal immigrants, or fraudulent voters are going to ignore the fact that they can illegally vote for the members of that administration that is suggesting those items? I would say that if your setting up a system where people can illegally vote to obtain the above, they will flock to it like ants on a dead animal. Its like opening up an atm, covering the camera, and allowing any pin number to withdraw cash from the government bank.
