I love how you dismiss one constitutional right, and try to distract to others. Face it your a hypocrite on this topic. Your position is it's ok to hammer on no ID when it comes to voting, but when it comes to guns it's ok to require ID. Then you use old Barry's mentor's tactic of ridicule to attack the person you are having an arguement with in attempt to cause distraction. Ok how about the police permits required to use amplified devices at out door speeches? I know for a fact that is required in New York. Amplified devices are not protected you say, how else are you to speak to 1000 people, are you preventing me from getting my constitutionally protected free speech message from reaching everyone??? Back to the topic did you read the report? It addresses all your concerns, and still states ID and registration is needed. -

Negative, the states I listed require you to register the guns which requires ID, that is on TOP of the forms which require ID that the federal government imposes when you buy the gun. In those stated your imposed twice to provide ID all for a constutionally protected right! So it's not a "silly argument". It makes it twice as important. I don't take your opinion about one silly vote won't determine an outcome of a close election, I'll take the research report that I linked's opinion on that matter. Once again did you even read it? Section 2.5 addresses all your arguments and invalidates them. -

That elections reform report form 2005 clearly stated that EVEN SMALL VOTER FRAUD COULD DETERMINE THE OUTCOME OF A CLOSE ELECTION IN A SWING STATE AND SHOULD BE ADDRESSED WITH ID. Did you even read it? -

Negative I brought up another constitutionally protected right that in order to exercise has ID requirements. You chose to divert the topic by starting to talk about illegal guns and deaths, a different topic. Ill go ahead and put you down for one order of hypocrisy Kallend -ID, it's not good for voting but its good for guns. -

You can have that argument in another thread. It does not pertain to the argument you have brought up in that there should not be an ID requirement for a constitutionally protected right. I brought up one that does require ID, and you cannot provide any reply other than changing the subject. -

Grandfather dies, you transfer the gun to your name or other family members for free, or $1. Still requires ID Your statement is pure hypocrisy. Require id for one constitutionally protected right, but not another...Got it. -

So are you ok with the oppressive ID requirements to exercise the rights detailed in the second Amendment to the Constitution? -

To buy a firearm at anywhere other than the back of a pickup truck you must fill out a federal form 4473 which requires ID. This includes walmart, bass pro, cabelas, any other mom and pop gun store, private ffl dealer or pawn shop. The private range in my town requires ID. http://www.precisionfirearm.com/ Feel free to call and ask Further, the public ranges at the national wildlife areas require you to have have a basic hunting, or fishing license to use the range....Care to ask what they want to see when getting one of those? Yep ID -

That was in reference to the types of weapons such as SBR, AUTOMATIC etc. cant just be owned by anyone, and the ways of carry CCW etc. whats your point? That does not address the fact that its still a constitutional right that requires extensive ID doccuments to enjoy. -

Fair enough, I am also the same and am not a republican. I recognize your right to not be identified as such if you recognize my choice to not be called a Repub/GOP. Now that is out of the way, care to address the heart of the post where I pointed out a constitutional amendment that requires ID. -

What is so evil about requiring id to vote?

You are right we are being played, by the LEFT, and we are saying NO. I will state again. I WANT EVERY LEGAL AMERICAN TO VOTE LEGALLY, and would support EVERY program that would allow someone to do that. Including providing transportation and free assistance to gather the needed LEGAL documents. Latino illegal immigrants would vote Democratic at an eight-to-one margin. http://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2013/07/22/are-unauthorized-immigrants-overwhelmingly-democrats/ Proposed benefits for illegal immigrants http://lmgtfy.com/?q=proposed+benefits+to+illegal+aliens Commission on Federal Election Reform report in 2005 even agreed with ID requirements, and stated that voter fraud is not wide spread, but it ultimately exists, and could alter the outcome of a close election and needs to be addressed. It also identified the difficulty in tracking down illegal voter fraud, and stated absentee ballots as the most easily done form of illegal voting See section 2.5, and basically the whole document. With the MASS increase in illegal immigration since 2005 the probability has risen. http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&ved=0CB4QFjAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.eac.gov%2Fassets%2F1%2FAssetManager%2FExhibit%2520M.PDF&ei=N0I9VL3qDMK48QHNo4HwDQ&usg=AFQjCNHTv09qyxi3hbJG4D7UkKD2xmLALg&bvm=bv.77161500,d.b2U&cad=rja When there is a reason and a way it will happen. The left is trying every thing they can to enable the illegal voting process to take off, and preventing every avenue to secure the current process from voter fraud no matter the way it occurs. -
What is so evil about requiring id to vote?

Last time I checked the right to keep and bear arms was a Constitutional right, and it is subject to extreme id requirements. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&ved=0CB4QFjAA&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.atf.gov%2Ffiles%2Fforms%2Fdownload%2Fatf-f-4473-1.pdf&ei=9DU9VNLnM-qK8QHopoC4Dw&usg=AFQjCNGXga8TQE_MZSZMz8-3KRO2PoEvgQ&bvm=bv.77161500,d.b2U&cad=rja Please see box 20a. 20b. So why are you not in outrage that an undue hardship of providing an id to obtain an instrument guaranteed by constitutional right is being placed upon Americans? Ooh thats right its because you are scared of one, and the other is a tool to provide votes for your party. -
