It used to happen all the time. Debriefs were referred to as finger pointing sessions. Many people feel this was one of the main reasons freeflying took off as juniors were not willing to spend their money and time just to be treated like shit. The best way to avoid it is a) be honest about your experiance and ability, and b) don't jump with assholes. -
My referring to you as the historical reference Nazi was a joke. However it was not made in blissful ignorance to the past. your assumptions about me, particularly the bit about not knowing any Jews, however indicate a very narrow view of history. Gypsies, homosexuals, the disabled, Afro-Europeans, even mainstream Poles were just as dead as the Jews in the holocaust. Regardless of the holocaust deaths, the Nazi party is better known for being the finest example of a totalitarian idiology; deviation from it was more actively castigated on the micro level than any before. This is what is being referred to when people talk about being a fun Nazi or a jump Nazi (hi George

I consider it a failure of my driving skills to not notice someone coming up behind me early enough to move out of their way (traffic permitting) so that they do not have to slow down.

Please allow the Nazis to own their reputation and stop diluting what they did by spreading their name around to others. The Nazis of WW II Germany were THE Nazis and no one else deserves to be lumped in with them. It's fucking disgusting! No one else should ever be called one. Unless they were. Who are you? The historical reference Nazi?

Making fun of skydivers who died
Andrewwhyte replied to captain1976's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Take pictures of it, wait until two weeks before the local elections, send pictures with explanations to families of the deceased as well as the press. -
That's fine as long as there is a lane available to your left. Slower traffic keep right.

It is a pretty basic mod. Any Master rigger will do. -

They don't have Miranda rights until they enter the US. They will be Miranda-ized as soon as they enter. -

Obviously you have never owned a restaurant. The business does not exist for the convenience of the employees. I know of a very popular pasta joint that puts their closed sign at the end of the line up to get in. Those people waiting in the rain to get in do not expect to be treated poorly or be rushed by the staff just because they are the last guests of the evening.

It is also enough to ruin the experience for anyone on the plane who has a family member who struggles with mental illness. It is as unprofessional as racist jokes. (I swear I didn't know her boyfriend was black).

I think Amazon did.

there are considerable reserves in Canada that are not currently commercial. A rise in demand could change that fairly quickly.

With an unconscious jumper hanging limp in the harness, it might well induce a slow turn from his weight that is shifted to one side in the harness. And then with a built-in slow turn, the canopy will indeed travel in a generally downwind direction as it spirals. See the attached illustration. Thus, the canopy does "steer downwind" - i.e. it travels downwind on it's own with no input. That is not what I understand to be a tendency to turn down wind. The question is whether there is a bias towards pointing downwind. Kallend says wind-shear will tend to turn a canopy. Now we know that a canopy facing upwind will always turn toward downwind, and likewise a canopy facing downwind will always turn towards upwind. The real question is what will a crabbing canopy tend to do?

Except the old "laundry in the main pack tray" routine has never actually been used. That was a movie. Yes it was funny and no harm no foul, but I really don't want to spend all next season telling people that I will not do this to their friend. Unless of course they are talking about a lot of money.

UK: Ex-soldier faces jail for handing in gun
Andrewwhyte replied to JohnRich's topic in Speakers Corner
Ignoring the "strict liability" aspect of the law, the five year minimum doesn't sound right. Minimum sentences tend to be an American thing. Are there any UK barristers out there? -
The 'Niners did not deserve to win tonight. The Bears deserved to lose though. What rocket scientist at scheduling thought this game was going to merit a coast to coast audience?
