    I think while it may be more dangerous for a cop to approach the car with the driver still in it, that disadvantage is outweighed by the disadvantage of divided attention when there is more than on person in the car. If the driver stays in the car the cop keeps everyone in sight.

    I wonder if the going faster under a baglock thing would be negated if the jumper kept arching. If you are going that fast, and were in an arch, it seems to me the tendency would be to return to belly down. I can see where people would stop arching after the initial pull of the baglock stood them up a bit. For the record, my bag lock did not stand me up either.

    Hmm. I was not aware of that; in Canada its 600 jumps and 6hrs. That changes things.

    Why not? There is no talk about replacing jump numbers with it, just freefall time. Bill's point about exits is valid, but the candidate would still need the same number of exits. I don't think "time is time" but to discount the value of tunnel time to zero is nothing short of dogmatic.
