    Zeitgeit

It's called zeitgeist not zitgeit. It's named after the philosophy of Hagel, the philosopher that inspired Carl Marx. See that's what you aren't getting; it's all a communist conspiracy. In fact Communism was a international bankers conspiracy. There was a book written in the seventies that explains it all. Kruschev was working of John D. Rockefeller. The whole communist thing didn't work out so they had to blow up the World trade centre see. The book is called, "None Dare Call it Conspiracy." You gotta get it.
  4. This is not going to be a problem. In Canada DUI can be a summary offense (similar to a misdemeanor) or an indictable offense (similar to a felony). If you have one only DUI with no other charges it will almost certainly be treated as if it is the former. Note the five year thing is for two or more such offences; in other words if you only have had one you were never inadmissible. They wont say that out loud so as to not be pinned down, but that is what it means. In General only the US is crazy about keeping out anyone who ever committed a crime.
  5. CNN explains that the party in each state decides whether their primary is winner take all or PR, but I cannot find a list of which state is which. Does anyone know where such a list is to found, or at least what the deal is for tonight?
  6. Ya, good thing there's no drug dealing around the dropzones these days.
  7. East of Vancouver in a particularly religious city there was a sign on the freeway- FRASER VALLEY SKYDIVING next sign- PREPARE TO MEET YOUR MAKER
  8. People who "extremely" pamper their dogs forget that they are dogs. These are the dogs that have trouble in the dog parks because they have not been properly socialized. "The bad Rottweiler attacked my Fifi." No the Rotti was confused because your dumb dog doesn't know its a dog and so doesn't accept the pack pecking order that the rest of the dogs understand.
  9. When we test jumped it a few years ago the lack of an ability to close the door after the jumpers left made for a slower descent. We didn't fill it but I wonder what kind of climb rate it would have with an IO-550 and 7 jumpers. With a useful load of 1800lbs I'm not getting in one with nine jumpers in it; maybe eight but I can't see that as regular occcurrence.
  10. Haven't been to California before I take it. Hire a car.
  11. Depends what you classify as biometrics. I was required to give fingerprint biometrics at the US border last year. I did nothing wrong, but I tweaked the border guard's interest for whatever reason. Yes I could have refused and never visited the US again, but it is just another example of the govs' (ours and yours) using more and more reasons to get the info on file. I suspect you will be giving some to open a bank account within ten years. Now that is not the government's information, but we have seen what companies like Google and AT&T do when Uncle Sam comes looking for data, why would the banks be any different.
  12. You keep pulling for them because they have made it to the big game more than any one else (8 times) and have won it as many times as anyone else (5 times). People love to hate the 'boys, but that's because they keep winning. This year was not supposed to be the Cowboys year; I don't know anyone who thought they were going to win 13 games. Wade Phillips took a team with obvious flaws (defense and special teams) and made them a contender. Why blame it on Romo? The defense couldn't make the stops when it counted and the whole team needs to be held responsible for the penalty problems that, when you look at it, really lost the game for them.
  13. I have about 150 sit-fly jumps (out of about 2000 jumps on the rig) on my Vector2. No problem. I replace the velcro when it is needed and keep my pin tight. My main flap is in good shape and hasn't been deformed by trying to stuff a too big canopy into it. That said, 50% off a wings container is a pretty sweet deal.
  14. It's not that bad here buddy. I don't think it's been worse than -15 all year in Cowtown (definitely has up here). Hutch is open every other weekend and Eloy/Perris flights leave every day. The bad news is they will probably send you to Saskatchewan. LIPPY COME HOME!
  15. The sergeant salutes the officer; he also salutes the sovereign, as does the officer.
  16. Cheering for Seattle but betting on GB.
  17. How do you know that? How do you know that? How do you know that? The premise of your original post was how you felt. Don't you think its a bit rich to demand that everyone else have proof for their assertions?
  18. Bono, lead singer of the rock band U2, is famous throughout theentertainment industry for being more than just a little self-righteous.At a recent U2 concert in Glasgow, Scotland, he asked the audiencefor total quiet. Then, in silence, he started to slowly clap his hands, onceevery few seconds.Holding the audience in total silence, he said into the microphone, 'Every time I clap my hands, a child in Africa dies.'A voice with a broad Scottish accent from the front of the crowd pierced the quiet . . .'Well, foockin stop doin it then, ya evil bastard!'
  19. Why are the states against it? The second entry in the list on that link says: SM 1003, urging the Congress to correct the unfunded mandate of the Real ID Act of 2005. (Passed Senate 29-0 on 2/19/07) It looks like Arizona at least is not philosophically opposed; rather it the same old "unfunded mandate" turf war we see in so much legislation.
  20. I don't think that would be at all good in a roast beef sammich. no, but it would be good on boobies. Exactly!
