One question, how many 7 cell landings do you have?
-
If it's only -16 why the fuck aren't you working? It's been -30 all God Damn week up here and now we are getting a severe weather warning from CBC (wind chill below -40). Oh well, at least my router is working again now that I got a better heater blowing against it.

i read something about songbird dialects once that definitely suggested that there was geographic differences within a species; but that's birds.

I find international news is much more biased in US papers toward what directly affects US interests than in most countries. Not saying the bias doesn't exist in other countries' media, but it seems much more obvious in US media.

I'm thinking lemon and dill or a very mild curry.

Gotta wait another 6 months before you can say "recession."

Yes, I think so. If you lose your job and times get tough, it is bad; but they can get better. If you keep your job, your hours have not been cut back, but you still aren't making it, well then despair is your companion isn't it? -
Give me a fucking break. During the Reagan era the republican establishment was represented by Bush Senior. GWB represents the ascension of the conservative wing to the status of GOP establishment. For Limbaugh to play the underdog card is such shit.

I read the NY Times on occasion, when I lived in Mexico I read the Miami Herald. During the nineties the South China Morning Post (Hong Kong) and the Straits Times (Singapore) were fairly prominent around Vancouver; both were excellent papers at that time.

Not as much as they will have disenfranchised dems who support candidates other than Clinton if they end up giving those delegates their votes back.

All politicians lie. It is important to figure out whether they are lying to you or to those you disagree with but you know they need support from in order to win.

Requirement for full face helmet in YOUR country
Andrewwhyte replied to RandomLemming's topic in Safety and Training
There are no restrictions in Canada. However, IMO, you should be capable of doing a flightline check before you get your CAT 6. -
thanks to the electoral college, it's arguable that your vote is a waste of time, so it makes sense the primary is a waste of money. I don't buy that. You didn't get to vote on the budget last year either. You elected a congressman and he represented you in that vote, and many others. Hard to argue with you there. The fact is the major parties are just clubs. They can make their own rules. You of course can join the club and try to change the rules, or form your own club (long steep hill, I know). It may be direct, but no more empowering for the voter. The guy running to replace Putin in his party didn't get the nomination in a primary fight, he got appointed by Putin. They vote directly for president, but not for Prime Minister; they vote for people who then vote for prime minister. They are called Parliamentarians.

Well, if you are GOP you vote in the primary and 26 delegates to the Republican National convention are chosen based on the proportion of the vote each candidate gets in the primary. 3 party brass get to go and 3 others are chosen at the state convention. These 3 will probably be the two senators and the Governor. If you are a Dem you go to your county caucus. There you elect delegates to the state convention in proportion to each candidate's support. At the state convention the delegates divide up into the two congressional districts and vote. Then each district selects 6 delegates to the Democratic National convention, again proportional to the support for each candidate. A further 6 delegates are selected based on statewide support for each candidate. 4 National Committee members get chosen and then there is one more who gets chosen by the party brass. Those five can vote for whoever they want. The primary is a meaningless waste of money. http://www.thegreenpapers.com/P08/ID-D.phtml#0205 http://www.thegreenpapers.com/P08/ID-R.phtml#0527

Choose a side (motorist suing dead cyclist's family)
Andrewwhyte replied to waltappel's topic in Speakers Corner
Depends on how the law is written. In many jurisdictions a 50-50 means you pay for half of his, and he pays for half of yours. The key is that a driving violation by each does not mean that it is a 50-50. Driving at night with no lights may well be deemed to be more detrimental than speeding; probably depends on how much the guy was speeding. -
That's what I was thinking.

Choose a side (motorist suing dead cyclist's family)
Andrewwhyte replied to waltappel's topic in Speakers Corner
The day the family filed against the motorist (via his insurance co.) was the day this became all about money. He was seventeen, he did not (in all likelihood) have dependents. Fault needs to be alloted by the court as 50-50 or 60-40 or something. Then each side needs to pay their share of the costs of the other's damage. As for the family being sued, I am sure they are being sued as the beneficiaries of the estate (and that juicy little 33,000 Euro payout). BTW just because the insurance company didn't argue the speed issue, that does not mean it is an accepted fact in court. -
Because when launched and for quite some time afterwards they have made canopies that were head and shoulders above their class. These include: PD 9-cell Saber Stiletto Lightning Spectre Velocity

i have jumped out of many more planes that I had my doubts about the pilot than about the plane. The only one I have ever declined to board (actually declined to board with students is more accurate) crashed a week later while I was in the other plane with a load of students flown by my pissed off DZO.
-
Rob, where do you get your information from? It's certainly not from anyone here. So then what is going on at Velocity regarding Skyhook/MARDs? Anything?
-
It probably has to do with the practices of the lowest bidder for providing beef products to the US army during that period. Just a guess.

Isn't it illegal to sell it in US?
