  1. ummmmm, in teh US last I checked block 22 was tee/chinese tee, block 17 is danish tee/murphy.....
  2. your suit maker can do a permanent bootie, the detachable ones look like they will work to a degree, but you won't get the same benefit as a full-on bootie (on that goes all the way up to the knee)
  3. yeah but they weigh about the same
  4. well, you could go and have some fun, I'm sure, but you would be flying a suit and not your body. the ft bragg/skyventure tunnel design is much better suited for practicing free fall manuvers.
  5. how do they attach and detach?
  6. How do you compare the comfort level? 1. Are chest rings worth it? 2. Which hip rings are better (I am asking because they are oriented in a different way on Unisyn then on "normal" hip ring harness. Thanks, Bart the chest rings without a doubt add a comfort level. I can get set (4way) in the door better, and the rig allows more freedom of movemement. I noticed no difference in the hip ring placement. (the reason it is different on teh Unisyn is to keep the main lift web from "buckling" or creasing right below the cut-away or reserve handle when you bend over).
  7. uh-huh.... my experiece has indicated otherwise....
  8. as an added measure try to pair people up as close as possible to size... to much thrust and not enough rudder can be detrimental to turning pieces
  9. so true.. its all about the mind games
  10. well, I haven't jumped the G4, but spent some considerable time at Mirage talking and looking at it (I have two G3's -- one with Unisyn and one with hip rings only). As far as I can tell, the G4 has improved an already comfortable harness design, there are some manfacturing details that make me believe that (the way the seams are now sewn for one). If I were to buy a new rig, I'd get the G4.
  11. that's an interesting conclusion based on them promoting the canopy as a very soft opening, gentle creature, one in which you can safely deploy head down (not a slam on you, just an observation).
  12. yeah, ouch..... it's always the second hit....
  13. I've got to disagree here just a little. A properly executed turn will not require a "dig" to get out of the "corner". you're swoop probably would have been incredible in your eyes, but the digging part bleeds of a lot of energy that you could use to go further. You also state that you didn't turn to low, which, according to your list of injuries is not the case, you did in fact turn to low causing an impact with mother earth at a high rate of speed. sorry to hear about the injures, but I'd be a bit careful in how high you turn for that double-toe- dragging, chick-loving, wuffo-admiring scream along the beer line
  14. to tight.... you should be able to arch, if you can't bring your leg back you can't arch... the booties them selves may actually be to small limiting how much you can move in them. Bev makes mods FAST... so it would be good to get it fixed
  15. So I guess you are not going to answer my questions? that's because he can't and won't. there have been a few people asking intelligent questions, about previous postings and claims that ATAIR is making. but there is no direct response. Who is designing those canopies anyway?
  16. PD has a very decent design....
  17. We are at the same price here in Lancaster PA (1 1/2 hr west of Philadelphia) hey, check it out, you've got a 4way with the power puff girlz
  18. oh log into AOL... it's the brunette (I haven't watched the show at all, so I don't know the names)
  19. hello???? you were talking to me right?
  20. The question is did you give them a proper send off ALA Cross Keys.....
  21. Monster garage is the best show on TV... AOL has announced what happened already, so it's spoiled for those on the west coast.
  22. ahhhhh, the better the casters, better the creeper. Rollerblade wheels make for some smooth creeping. Lightening creepers are really good (not sure if they are still in business) - they were in texas somewhere.
  23. it sucks when your girlfriend has to spend time with the person she is married to....
  24. people have tried them, they really didn't offer much of an advantage, and the disadvantage is when transitioning to another point, they can lead to a littel confusion (was I supposed to take the back grip on this, or the top, etc). We had them on our first suits -- then got rid of them. There are some folks who do think they make exits a little easier, but I didn't find that (a grip plan helps here, ok, Mr. Point, you go high, and I go low, otherwise I'll funnel your butt
