but I'm not so sure they are actually jumping double grippers. I know their black suits dont' have them. I know they were playing around with it for a while, though.
-
so basically you "fixed" your canopy by re-design, the same thing you bashed others about?
-
if you wanted, you could get your "B" in one week..... teams at DeLand keep the planes turning. Student training there is first rate, too.
-
Tacoma WA actually has the lowest gas prices in the nation for some odd reason... it's going for 1.47 -- 87 octane.

2001 Pond Swooping Nationals Video
weid14 replied to CanuckInUSA's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
well, people watch NASCAR for crash potential right? makes for lively TV/Video.... same can be said for potential pond chowing at a meet. Of course no one wants people to get hurt, but a big splash usually brings a big cheer -
yeah, the nice part is the body will be designed to handle the power instead of twisting in two

this is going to be one bad-ass car, too. I am starting to save my pennies... http://www.fordvehicles.com/fordgt/home.asp

if there were one in the NW, specifically kapowsin, how much interest would there be? PM me....
-
there are no "all-womens" competitions in the US. The US womens team was the highest placing all-female team in the open division at Nationals. That happened to be Syncronicity. Will be interesting to see what happens this year.

well, I'd almost consider a sex change to be able to video the norgie women.....
-
a mile below sea level in air.... right?
-
har har har...easy for you to say! Of course, the best exits I do always happen to be at a skills camp, so it must be the vibes. we have the tail (me) gripping the IC for the C(rappy) exit for the reason that Dan stated. It flies OK, but I'm still working on timing it just right. That's one of those that takes a lot of practice, I think. Though it's not as hard for me as that stupid $@#@!$#@! cattacord.... what's-the-matter? keep finding yourself on level with the point?

typically no news is good news, I've actually seen this system in operation, works well....
-
take it from a team that lost a medal due to camera busts... they are every part of the team.
-
did you miss it? miss what? I was responding to your comment in regards to a velcro keeper not releasing per Billvon? maybe I misread something..
-
I would not attach a canopy to my jumpsuit. The mal Bill speaks of can and will happen. the velco doesn't have to hold your weight, the parachute collapses, then you fire your reserve into what? a trailing mess. The better slider stow systems are the ones that go on the reserve flap that can slide off.
-
DAMN!!! well, if would pony up a few million, you could get it under construction....
-
oops, I voted wrong, but what the heck, I'm teamless in Seattle at the moment...
-
yadda yadda, I've had this discussion with a couple of tunnel manufacturers, the start up cost is Huge there, better spot is out by six flags.

dirt -- water -- dirt.... by pier media. It's a look at the swoop nationals and shows a lot of the approaches. also, for a laugh the paraski video is absolutely hilarious.
