no, it was not landed, yuo really have to see it in person to appreciate how small it actually is. There are Ram-air kites out there bigger. I believe he (Andy) said the slowest he got was 68 mph on his protrack, but my memory from last night is a bit clouded

OH I know all about Para skiing... I used to skydive at the Ranch....
-
I know folks have used various means of getting up-hill, also. Like rounds -- I think there was actually some film of it in one of Warren Millers' movies. Basically a reversed type harness, they just cut away at the top of the hill

stainless? vertical? what size pipe? #6 position or what? X-ray quality? did they bend test them? nice.... sucks about the print. I know someone got their eye-ring tampered with before a world meet freestyle round, their framing was off so they didn't get a good score, same deal, people should win with ability not underhanded cheating.

I wonder how it would fly without the d-bag/PC attached. seems as though that would contribute significantly to drag and distortion on the top skin

wow, you creep 20 ways? that's a big creeper pad!!!
-
well, this degenerated into 4way (not that it's a bad thing), but (before Kallend gets in here

all good responses, I might add that sometimes people may focus on the one thing they are worried about (i.e. dont' go low, turn right instead of left, etc). then when they get beyond that point, mentally they are lost. flow the whole dive, without stopping in one certain area.

I'd rather be bound and gagged...

there is no comparison, the crossfire will out glide the spectre all day long. its the 9cell vs. 7 cell thing - aspect ratio difference.
-
or it could be the fetish for S&M?
-
yup, it got squashed, and that's what cracked it.... they will tell you the same thing... bummer. I usually stuff mine full of socks (clean) if I am going to pack it to help with the ride.
-
hmmm, have you traveled with it in a bag lately? If the helmet gets squeezed (like hold it where it covers your ears and push together), thats the spot where it will crack. (sometimes it can be fixed, too). I hit my head so hard on an otter door once the pilot actually turned around to see what happened (I was told by those in front).

yes one needs to be very clear about that
-
my bad, carry on...

Uhhhhhh ....... no thanks! oh -- the brazilian wax on a woman is nnniiiiccceeeee.....
-
ummmmm, Lisa, did you open the attachment?
-
I'm not exactly sure why you would want one, but to each his own, I had a team mate go from a spectre to a Xfire and he never looked back, but to answer your question he was loading it that high with no issues.
-
getting into the 4way thing eh? nice.... must have been a Z-1
-
I *think* the later TSO-D vs C has some different requirements. that's why the new smaller PD reserves have different loadings (the 106 adn the 113, I believe), best thing to do is call them, he'll talk all day about it.

while turning to the Forum for help may yield some interesting answers, the best person would be John LeBlanc at PD.....

oh, that gets a lot more complicated, your 4 positions (IC,OC,point, tail), have "A" slots where they would normally be in the formation, so yeah, you get there the shortest way possible (simply put). but then there is a whole continuity plan, and who goes where, and some teams with the talent may build the random different in certain circumstances.... the best way to look at this is to review some video... go to www.skyleague.com -- that will have the dive flow, and you can download the video of that particular jump, pick one person to watch and see where they go in each formation (bearing in mind that there are slot switchers and mirror image formations that will make things more complicated -- best to watch a video from a "AA" team if available at first because they dont' have the mirrors and switchers)

oh, there is a draw, the old fashion way had all the letters/numbers on paper and put into a cup/bowl/hat whatever. then they are randomly drawn up to 5 or 6 points.... so it would be something like B-1-C-21 (stairstep diamond, snow/off, murphy flake, zig marq)... had another letter been drawn instead of the 21 that round would have had 5 points (and been pretty darn fast too). that would continue until all the papers were exhausted (10 round meet plus tie-breaker). Bear in mind the intermediate (USPA) class will have blocks/randoms repeated in a draw (common), as will open/advanced (rearely) now because of the smaller dive pool. Even easier -- On omniskore, download "dive draw" or print pool and follow directions. www.omniskore.com/software.htm bear in mind that typically teams train certain blocks/random combinations not according to "meet rules" to get the repetions in (i.e. you'll go up and do 21-E for the entire dive to get the repetion in). they will pick and choose depending on what they want to work on, so it's really up to you at that point.

Do you stretched before you Jump?
