  1. well, if one has a clean trunk..... the danger is hot sun on dark vehicle in warm temps.... of course I had some speakers once that made acid salts in one of my old cars that tore up some of my luggage going home after a semester.....
  2. well, it works, but if you look at what happens if you tilt your body, you will also notice that you could be off level (all things being equal) at the end of the move. I am speaking from a competitive perspective here, so in that context, it is much more efficient to use arms, legs and some "body pitch", not less arms and legs with more body pitch.
  3. At some point you'll get tired of your feet hurting - especially in no wind. Extra speed is really a necessity on Lightnings to make landings bearable over the long haul :-) W those stinking Crew Dogs sound like a thundering heard when they all land, scares the crap out of me every time.
  4. well, she'll either A) get used to it and enjoy the time you do have together. b) learn how to pack so as to help you and get to spend some time around the DZ or C) you won't be her Valentine for long....
  5. You can also talk to Rob Laidlaw, he's typically either at the campus in Deland (call manifest), or at Whitewright in Dallas (skydive Dallas, I think).
  6. yeah, my feeling is they keep announcing a tunnel in Jersey to make it less attractive for another company to build there.
  7. wow, I totally read that wrong, I thought you said something about a pecker.....
  8. tell you what, that's not to far from the truth, many relationships outside of the teams have been, well, let's just say for lack of a better term, tracked away from.
  9. well, only one thing left to do, get a green card and come on over.
  10. David, I say this with all due respect, but . . . you gotta get out more. ain't that the truth...
  11. your in the NW, I know of another guy who may be about your ability level looking for a team. It all starts with desire and finding the right people. Kind of like finding a date, only better
  12. ....must..... hold.......back........ comments.....
  13. yup, he can take grips on either one (but then you start to get into the whole piece partner debate, and whether or not it makes sense and all that stuff)
  14. it's a MF exit alright..... and doug just liked calling you a flake
  15. might want to watch the video from this past years pond swooping at the Ranch... let go of the toggles, blew a kiss to the judges and continued on... dirt water dirt.... one of the Precision pilots, I can't remember who.
  16. nope. but the tail-IC launch is easier -- the other way is hard on the OC if the timing isn't perfect (Airspeed, of course has that down fairly good
  17. ummmmm. dont' get thrown away from it to begin with.
  18. while it might help with exits, correct scoring grips are below the leg strap (any where, foot, bootie, etc, as long as the judge can see your hand and it is stationary) and up to the shoulder harness on your arms.
  19. vertical rate of descent... they need to look at all the data on the jump track software. It did register a deployment though (the object was to maintain a freefall data signature)... when asked if he really wanted to land it, I did not get an emphatic "no"
  20. for 1000$? are you sure?aint it the same messure as in ft/m? 600ft=aprox 200m pleace pull me up here...where do you guys get for that kind of mony? For 1000$i could get 1,5 house in the city or 2 outside the city(talking about 120-150m2) it' called New York City..... people pay ALOT to live on Manhatten.
  21. yup, mostly you can expect 20-25% off MSRP from most retailers....
  22. Unless you get a walk up apartment in Harlem, you pretty much need a room mate to keep yourself to a $1000 minimum per month lease.
  23. OK, (disclaimer, I don't live in Manhatten, but know many people who live in the city).... there is a skydiver who bartends at Puck Fair (IIRC it's on the corner of Houston -- not pronounced like the city, BTW -- and broadway, or really close to it, it's right near NYU, but I digress), he jumps at the Ranch, Ranchgirl may be able to give you his email -- or you could go to their message board, everyone knows him, anyway, he'd be the best person to ask, since that's what he does. his name is Paulie, I forgot to put that in the initial post.
