2:3:0 Not a bad weekend. Finally got most of my stereo equipment installed into my new car. I learned that running 4ga power cable from the battery to the trunk in a Ford is punishment in some countries. C'mon...is it too much to ask for an easy place to pass a cable through the firewall? 3 great jumps that ended up being free because the DZ learned that tomorrow is my birthday. Damn, I love my DZ. *Kris tears away from the 100th viewing of his tube flight video from last weekend...* Because they look sweet on video. Really though, it makes for a great base reference point. It's a little more fun than the average "campfire" dive, and when seen in freefall is just visually stunning. I've also noticed that my sit is a lot better after flying my ass off to remain balanced and in my column of air with that thing. It's a little more zen, a little less thought without it. I'm using Phreezone's sit tube right now and it's a blast to jump with. I'm going to be sad when I have to give it back to him at Rantoul. Personally, my rule is that I have no friends below 2K. If someone could possibly find a way to hang onto me if I didn't want them to then I will deploy with them still holding on. However, there is some risk involved in that. There is a documented case of an AFF instructor who was kicked in the head by her AFF student on deployment. It broke her neck and killed her. Granted, from what I understand, she was in the wrong place relative to the student for an AFF-I, but shit can still happen. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

Normally, it takes me a month to finish a 6-pack. The only exception to that rule is when I am hanging with the crazies at San Marcos. In which case I usually end up killing at least 5-6 Shiners and having a goodly amount of Wild Turkey forced upon me. Kris "You're whispering...TALK TO ME GOOSE!!!" I feel your pain, Kelly. A deer ran out in front of me on the highway last month and did over $8000 in damage to my poor little red sports car. It was declared a total loss. Luckily, Jessica was nice enough to come get me and I still managed to hit the DZ in TX I was going to for the weekend. Just be glad you're uninjured. The car can be replaced.
