And my response from TalkBack... It's not the size of the reserve...it's the wingloading that counts. I can think of several small people off of the top of my head who would have no problems landing a PD126R at their weight. Heck, I wouldn't want to see what a no-flare landing would be like under a PD-160R, but I'll take it over not having a reserve at all. Heh...yeah, I was feeling no pain at that point. After I totalled my car in TX on the way to Jessica's, she was kind enough to travel the rest of the way get me so I could still party at Skydive San Marcos that weekend. The festivities were...epic. Damn...I feel so...loved! This is the first time I've read this thread in ages. Sigh. Sorry, Kate, but I can't make it for July 4th. I have just enough vacation time to make it to Rantoul and even that is sketchy since I just totalled my car due to a suicidal deer on the interstate. Definitely a loaded question with no easy answer. I've heard reports of someone with only 170-ish jumps who passed the test for their Atmosphere Dolphin A license. On the flip-side, I know a person who has over 400 jumps, can fly a mean sit / stand but can't hold a stable HD to save their life, even after several coaching jumps.
