OMG! Damn, you have good taste, woman! How could I have forgotten The Psychedelic Furs, I also forgot New Order. And now, some pics for JT.

There was nothing better than the 80's for several reasons: The Challenger Disaster (I still remember where I was when I heard) Madonna in her slut phase. Molly Ringwald Susanna Hoffs Family Ties Airwolf Reganomics The Brat Pack Molly Ringwald Susanna Hoffs The Breakfast Club Parachute pants The Smurfs, Thundercats, GI Joe, and Transformers Molly Ringwald Susanna Hoffs St. Elmo's Fire Top Gun Karate Kid ALF! And don't even get me started musically: The Cure, Depeche Mode, Echo & The Bunnymen, The Smiths, Bauhaus, Animotion, The Bangles, The Go Go's, Book Of Love, Violent Femmes, Juliana Hatfield Three, Dead Kennedys, Black Flag, Van Halen (NOT Van Hagar), Run DMC, Erasure, Eurythmics, Foreigner, Journey, Genesis, INXS, Ministry, Oingo Boingo, OMD, Pet Shop Boys, Peter Gabriel, The Police, The Pretenders, The Ramones, Simple Minds, Tears For Fears, Vicious Pink Dammit! That was music! I loved the 80's and the 80's loved me back. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

GRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ARRRRRGGGGHHHH!!! DAMMITTOHELLANDBACK!!!! I had planned on being there from the 1st through the 11th but my plans have changed. I won't be arriving until Monday, the 4th. The friend that is going there with me can't get away until Monday because he has family coming into town. Where's the "crying like a 3 year-old that just fell off their tricycle" icon when you need it? At least 7 days of nig-noggery instead of 10 is better than none. Yeouch! Sorry to hear about it....and also my apologies for living in Salina. I was there on Thursday for business with my company. I could have sworn I exited I-135 and stepped back in time 50 years...well....if they had an Office Max and a Wal-Mart supercenter back then. There I was...One lone Messican skydiving geek against a town of white people. But I got the network gear upgraded and made it out before they grabbed their pitchforks. You may want to check the labor laws for your state because your schedule does not sound legal in any way. Again, my apologies for your having to live in Kansas. While teh lack of DVD is truly a travesty, not seeing the movies is an even larger one. Until you see them, I'm going to tell the lemon shake-up vendors at Rantoul not to sell you any. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

It will affect your flare is the biggest difference. Longer risers will give you a deeper stroke and more flare to work with because you are placing the canopy further away from you. Shorter risers will decrease the stroke. 20" is pretty much the standard. 18" risers are generally used by short people with very short arms and 22" or larger are used by people with longer arms. If you're of average build, I'd get the 21's. When you start getting into highly-loaded, very small canopies, the riser length will also have a noticable impact on canopy flight as the larger risers will allow the canopy to, desireably, spread out a bit more. That's it...that's it...keep that thought going... Hmmm, freeze in AZ or come party in sunny, temperate FL at the Stacy Boogie? Tough decision. Not. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

I would think that you, as a former moderator for this website, would be familiar with the rule regarding no personal attacks. Apparently, I thought wrong. Wags didn't post anything inflammatory, he just posted his polite opinion on something that happened to rub you the wrong way. Your reaction to it is over the top. I didn't read anything into his reply that even hinted at a stab at your rigging abilities. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

Usually 2600-3000. If I'm instructing a freefall student I'll usually open higher so I can keep an eye on them. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

Well, you are the Uber-geek in the relationship. Sigh...there's just something about a girl that skydives, knows rigging, can ride a sport-bike, knows what an REI is, and does UNIX. Damn you, Derek! Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

Also, won't rigs, other than whose made by RWS, have to be re-TSO'd in order to use the Skyhook? Since it's part of the reseve system, that was my understanding. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

I agree with Bill. I'd pay if it was for broadband wireless access. I'd kick maybe $25 for the entire convention run. As to why bring a laptop? To upload pictures and post back to DZ.com so that all those who couldn't make it can seethe at the fact that they're not there. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

You can at least play one on TV. Wowsers! I love flight sims but this guy obviously likes them a bit more than I do. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

$500 sounds really fishy. There are few places that will be able to accomodate you at your size as 225-240 pounds is the usual cutoff. At 300 pounds, you're probably looking at modified tandem gear due to the size of reserve and main you will need. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

You're thinking cute cartoon. I'm thinking she's better expressed by the pic below. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

You've seen "The Shining", right? Well, [Jack Voice] Heeeerrrrrrreeee's SUNNY! [/Jack Voice] Does that answer your question? Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

And give you something hard and inanimate to hook-turn into? Bad idea. Stick with swooping into the sides of cows, Stacy. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

Oh. Shit... Even I wasn't going to go there. Been nice knowing you.
