Well, i have to say i really love my Peleng, but they are not easy to use and after all it is a fisheye and thats the only reason i also got the Canon 10-22. Check out these pictures, most of them made with the 8mm Peleng. http://coolschranxx.de/gallery2/main.php?g2_itemId=1386&g2_page=1 Franco If it does not cost anything you are the product.

i would hazzard a guess and say it's a different mearusing system. it's is measured per cent in the US and der thousands in the US. I am not sure if everybody measures volume or weight ratios. Germany 0.5 if they haven't changed it while i am here and you can drink a beer and drive. Franco If it does not cost anything you are the product.

Friend fell for a scam at bestprice camera what to do?
FrancoR replied to FrancoR's topic in The Bonfire
Hello Everyone, anybody have an idea on how to deal with a scam from an online store? A friend of mine bought a camera on bestpricecameras.com, after ordering was completed he was asked to call a number. There they told him the camera was not complete and he needed batteries and all the stuff that usually comes with the camera, you probably know the game. He ended up paying twice as much (1500$) as usual for the standard package. Unfortunately he payed with a debit card and the camera should arrive tomorrow, they are also asking for min. 10% restocking fee in case the camera is sent back. Since we are both from Germany we would know how to deal with it there, but here we don't really have a clue. Anybody have any tips on how to deal with this? Thanks a lot. I think he could have pulled it off on that one too if he would not have been crosswind, look at the landing arrow. I can't seem to find my memory card with the actual jump, i have a great picture of him in freefall just before touch down. I will post it as soon as i find it so we can stop the disbelief here. Roadtrip: Eastcoast to Westcoast and Back. What else to see along the way?
FrancoR replied to FrancoR's topic in The Bonfire
Wow, thanks for all the replies, but we need stuff that is on the way. 2 weeks is just not enough to zig zag from coast to coast and it's got to be coast to coast. Only Dropzone sheduled is Eloy, don't want to bore my non jumping friend to death, but have to show him a real big DZ so he can do another Tandem. I am still missing a typical american diner a real one not something that looks like an old diner. It's not just the typical tourist attractions we are looking for. We can probalby check out one ore two more national parks, thanks for the terragalleria link. Tac pro is also along the way and typicall american :-) We will check that out. Alabamas Beaches sounds easy to visit, but no jumping i will be at the memorial day boogie. Grand Canyon probably not, been there twice. Loved the Redwoods and have seen them 20 years ago, but probably not because to far off the way. Any more tips along our way? Probably not going to post till monday due to another boogie. Roadtrip: Eastcoast to Westcoast and Back. What else to see along the way?
FrancoR replied to FrancoR's topic in The Bonfire
A friend and i are planing a roadtrip over to the other side of the country and back just for sightseeing. We are both from Germany and we want to explore the country while we work here before we go back home. We think we have all the typical sights on our route but maybe there are a few not so known places to see, along the way. Our current route itinerary is: South Carolina Blue Ridge Parkway Tail of the Dragon St. Louis Denver Pikes Peak Aspen Moab Canyonlands Glen Canyon Bryce Zion Las Vegas Death Valley LA Eloy Petrified Forest National Park El Paso New Orleans South Carolina. We have 2 weeks at the end of April so it is going to be a bit of a race :-) Anybody have any good places along the way? Scenic Roads, typical american stuff for the specific area. Anys suggestioins are welcome. -
Similar scams get pulled off in Europe, even if the wire transfer is cleared it does not matter because he does not send the money anyway. He tells somebody that bought something from him to send the money to your account, you transfer some of it to him through western union, he picks it up at western union some nice place on earth. The sender never gets what he paid for and will eventually find out were he really sent the money, but you will never find out who picked up your money. The bigger dropzones in Germany have rental gear. A jump ticket will usually cost you 25 to 27 Euros that is only about 37 dollars + rental gear. I hope you are rich Maybe a good idea to stick to the more special events like the AN-72 Boogie, the Sylt Boogie or maybe a Pink Skyvan Boogie in the Austrian Alps. At what time are you planing on going? If it does not cost anything you are the product.

The date for the AN-72 Boogie has been announcedin a german skydive forum. It will be from the 28th of July to the 3rd of August. The weekend before the Boogie they will have an AN-28 in Cochstedt. Registration will start in January. So who is coming? 1.) FrancoR If it does not cost anything you are the product.

you are right, i think i confused it with another lens. I did a quick google search and found a price in an online photo mag. It mentioned 699Euro for the 10mm and 999Euro for the 4.5mm. I doubt that is acurate though. Franco http://www.photoscala.de/node/3743 If it does not cost anything you are the product.

Found it on pricegrabber.com The Sigma 8mm costs 600$ that is more than twice as much and i think that is to much for a lens that is more for the fun shots than for each and every day skydiving. I you are a professional photographer it might be a different story. There are problems with the Peleng like different types of adapters for your camera that don't all work good. But for skydiving and most of my other photography this is not a problem. Focus for skydiving is almost always on the same distance and there is always enough light for Aperture 8 at ISO100 which has a good depth of field. My Porsche also outperforms my miata, but it also cost me twice as much :-) It would be very sad for Sigma if they could not outperform the Peleng. Franco If it does not cost anything you are the product.
-
I am not sure, but the 10mm costs 450$, i can get a 8mm Peleng that can give you great pictures if set correctly for just 280$. Do i need autofocus and automatic aperture for skydiving shots that bad? I did not find a price, but the 4mm is probably even more expensive, but probaby your only option if you want circular fisheye pics with your DSLR.
