I don't think there is one, i have looked and asked in forums before. What i have now is a Konica Digital Revio 420Z that i soldered a few cables to the regular shutter release. The connection for the switch, that is still waiting to be built, is in the slot for the memory stick. :-) I haven't finished this project. Another possibility is shooting the pictures with the Camcorder, mine has 3 megapixels and i have a lanc controlled switch that will let me shoot 3mega pictures without recording Video or low resolution pictures while recording video without interlace onto the memory stick. Camera is a PC 350. I/We still have to work on the Programming a bit more to make it easier to use in freefall. Finding a camera that has a remote and is fast enough for freefall use.... good luck, but tell me when you find one :-) Franco If it does not cost anything you are the product.

Max Wingloading for 280 jumps
FrancoR replied to KevinSpencer's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
We had two low turn accidents with highly loaded canopies at my home DZ in germany last year. I was there when one happend. I also know an occasion where a fairly inexperienced jumper was approved by an experienced jumper to jump a high WL and was later injured in a related accident. Better to jump a big canopy that crash an not jump at all. Have Jeff look at one of the wingloading recomendation charts. Franco If it does not cost anything you are the product. -
Sounds familar. Last year at my DZ. Jumper with around 800 jumps mostly on big Parafoils starts jumping a smaller stiletto. Then does a first jump in a springo 110 turned to low, ended with broken bones and surgery. Didn't see impact it but it did not sound preety either. IMHO BAD IDEA Franco If it does not cost anything you are the product.

Question to Skydivers from EU Member Countries
FrancoR replied to michal.k's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
In Germany there ist only one licence you get it when you have passed the practical and theoretical test and it does not expire. Only requirement is 12 jumps in the past 12 months, otherwise you will have to jump with instructor supervision until you are at 12 jumps in 12 months again. Cant find anything on the dfv homepage (http://www.fallschirmsportverband.de/ concerning your question but if you contact Helmut Bastuck on the "Kontakt" page i am sure he can help you out with information from official side. Not yet, but i will move to Spartanburg in about 4 weeks, although i have to move a bit further than you. Looks like Skydive Carolina is also th closest DZ to me, i will be there very often. Franco If it does not cost anything you are the product.

Gets me thinking, what can the instructor do for the student if he can stay up? If things go wrong in the wrong suit, there isn't much he can do except take Video of the the mistakes. Franco If it does not cost anything you are the product.

Feuergnom, who also post here, has had his reserve pulled do to the tension brought on the chest strap. The extra cable on the reserve handle was to short, so that the tension on the chest stap caused the stretching of the housings. For the amount of lengthening the extra cable was to short. He was under his reserve at 3500m. I think that is something to watch out for, ask your rigger how much extra cable in enough. There should be a thread about somewhere. Thats preety much what the pink skyvan does. http://pink.at except they are not a Beech 18. I think you could call Jan Wildgrubers Beech 99 the same concept. Franco If it does not cost anything you are the product.

Aircraft you want to see at the WFFC
FrancoR replied to Fleahop's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
There is a AN-2 in Slavnica Slovakia (skydive.sk), but what they also jump out of are gliders. That is a really cool jump, sitting on the wing of that thing. The Glider is a blanic , i am sure some people would like to jump out of a glider at the WFFC. Not every glider is suitable, but the blanic made out of alluminium certainly ist. Ampfing has a webcam: http://www.fsc-colibri.de I take a look at it when i am in doubt about the wheater. Plane out of the Hangar, means they are expecting better wheater. People packing canopies, means they are jumping. Pretty usefull. Not now thought because they are closed for the winter. Franco If it does not cost anything you are the product.

I think i will go with the thumbscrew solution, that enough for me. the Rawa doesn't seem to be a bad helmet for still camera. I will also take a look at the FF2, but i haven't seen one here in germany jet. Does anybody have an idea how to make still camera mounting more snag proof? I might have to make something from carbon or glass fibre to close the gaps. Franco If it does not cost anything you are the product.

Hi, i am thinking of getting a new Camera and Helmet. I want to get the camera now, because i want a PAL model since i will be in the US starting January. I could buy the Helmet later. I am looking into the Rawa at the moment and have a few questions. Does the Sony HC32 fit into the box on the Rawa? Is the plattform at the top fo the Rawva good for still photos? I haven't done still Photos but would like to start next year. Thanks Franco If it does not cost anything you are the product.

You mean the price of issuing me the licence card? I heard it is fairly easy when you come from germany, answer a few questions and get the license. Yes, i am going to work for BMW, but not for them directly, i am with Rücker a german engineering company. I hope to see and jump with a few dz.com people next year. As far as buying a car i think things have cleared a bit. Only problem ist i don't know most of the car types that are offered. There are barely any american cars in germany. I am looking for a van or minvan because i plan on traveling to a lot of dopzones while i am there. Franco If it does not cost anything you are the product.
