I don't get it... surely that's like saying: Altitude is a good thing, or Zeemax is a post whore... stating the obvious maybe

I don't know a lot about US geography, but if possible, sail on the sea.... it's SO much more fun! The chop makes it a lot more interesting, although there are inherent hazzards - being blown off shore and never being seen again is probably one of the major ones Chop jumping is relatively easy and great fun.

Windsurfing is fantastic fun... I did it for about 9 years till an injury kept me out of it (just before a comp I might add. ) As far as getting your own rig goes - get a load of time on rental gear first. If you're looking at doing mainly inshore sailing, the best fun is with very large sails and small boards - however, the same as with skydiving, these are best progressed to gradually. If you really want to buy your own gear soon, make sure you have a board that has enough flotation that you can stand on it without sinking at zero speed. You won't be going very fast at the start. Don't go for one with foot straps all over it; they'll just get in the way as you're learning and won't be of any use to you until you hit high wind conditions. As for sails, it really depends on the average wind conditions in your area, but in general, something like a 5.7sq meter sail is generally a good starter. Find either a school or experienced sailer in your area: they'll be able to advise you a lot more specifically. Fraid I don't know any sites... Hope this is helpful - if you want any more advice, feel free to PM me. Will

go for the Chianti every time... powerful flavours like garlic and gorgonzola compliment it really well... The Chenin will feel weak in comparison...

If the proceeds went to the right place why not! I'm not defending him, but I suggest that happily killing any other person is not a good frame of mind. Dealing with that guilt isn't easy.,..

why bother? You really want that on your conscious? It's not something that I'd pay for...

I'm sure I didn't post all these... who's been using my name!??? oh.. wait... maybe I was drunk... nah.

I'm happy landing downwind and crosswind in average conditions on this canopy, and was confident of putting my previous canopy just about anywhere... I'm waiting for a few more jumps before landing on rears on this canopy, but have practised at altitude just in case (fingers crossed it'll never be necessary). It's just never occurred to me before to try this type of 'pressure' landing before. oops... edited for spelling.. doh

Jumpin' gotta have the big screens with skydiving films on tho edit: oh.. and good beer on tap...

It's occured to me that while I'm happy landing my Sabre 135 in any conditions in an open field, I've never had an off landing on it. I was considering silmulating a tight landing, sinking it in on half breaks and PLFing whilst the conditions were good. Is this something people would recommend / not? I'm currently at a 1.14 WL any advice on this would be good. Thanks Will

hi Larry.. I found it was worth doing a couple of solos just practising pulling as I moved down a canopy size.. spending 7 grand just moving back and forth from your stable to pull position might help a lot... it did me.

Fish and chips... the best thing the UK has ever invented... along with jet engines... radar... black puddings...

so glad you posted that wild-sunset pic... I was just about to do it if you hadn't. It's one of the best pictures I've ever seen...
-
you'll get all the info you need about piloting your canopy on your jump course. Don't worry too much about canopy courses just yet - it's kinda like taking an advanced driving test - learn to drive first, then learn to do it better. glad you had fun. Welcome to skydiving!

What's a "PW"? look in a dictionary under 'Zeemax'... it'll read "Post Whore"... Why should everyone have to look it up in a dictionary? Why didn't you just spell it out yourself? Are we supposed to be psychic and know what you mean? Sorry obviously that didn't quite come off... PW means Post (P) Whore (W)... spelt out, as requested...
-
when you're feeling really hungover, someone will always let go the dirtiest fart ever on the way to altitude...

So, I guess you own some expensive sound equipment then? just a little but then It also holds true for arguments as well... have something good to say, cause if you're just shouting, I'll get bored and ignore you ....
