And even better than this show is the Muff Brothers budget fireworks show with half of their stuff exploding on the ground (At least thats how it was a couple years ago when I attended). There is something to be said for paying a little extra for your fireworks. It looked like they had 10 year old "boy have I got a deal for you" fireworks. They made for a GREAT show of a different kind. Mark Klingelhoefer editied for spelling

Nikon N80 - Cable Shutter Release Help?
klingeme replied to velvetjo's topic in Photography and Video
If Nikon is a must for you (You already have the wide angle lenses for it and don't want to start over with Canon) the N-90 and N-70 are great options and both have the external shutter release. Mark Klinglehoefer -
Good luck TOADSUCKERS (I know this is not a toadsucker event) and everyone else involved with the record attemps. We're all keeping an eye on what is going on in Lake Wales. Good luck and safe jumps, Mark Klingelhoefer GO BIG!!!!

chuting star rigging loft relocates
klingeme replied to Hans's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
So by this logic, if Ben and Cary suddenly realize what they've been doing all this time is wrong and stop doing it we should consider them "good guys" for relizing they were profitting off of their deception, because whatever Mike is currently doing in his Honest Living situation, anything he gave up was part of the deception of B&C and he knew it. He did not just realize a couple of months ago that they were unethical, but he happily repacked all the tandem and student rigs and cashed all the B&C checks that thier deception provided him with. Just my opinion, Mark Klingelhoefer edited for clarification -

Mathematically on the clock, I think it is more logical to fly two loads to 19000, then there's extra safety margin for the remaining loads which would not need to be as hurried. For the first drop, even the two planes could be spaced far apart, there's plenty of altitude for two loads to converge. You dogs know more than I do so there may be something obvious I missed... But very neat, a 25-way out of one King Air. Almost unbelievable. Formation loads are done all the time, but these guys did a formation load using ONE AIRPLANE..... That was the purpose for the jump. It also proves that the Nardi's have a fast as hell jump plane and that SNORE ROCKS!!!!!!!! (just let him know when you are going to be front floating......) I was just glad to be in the air to see it. Thanks for the great jump and letting me lideo it guys.... Mark Klingelhoefer edited for typos

The rigger I am studying under assigned me "Homework" for the evening, and I am supposed to find the answer to the following In II. Area of operation: Privileges, limitations, and operating rules section J. Task: TSO 23c requirements It says to use TSO 23c and Aerospace Standard 8015A as a reference to answer the 4 questions (and no I don't just want the answer to the questions, so I'll refrain from listing them) these documents are not ANYWHERE on the internet. Not the FAA, or anywhere else accessable by any search engine. Where the hell do you find the info you need to learn what you need to learn for the ticket if the information is not available?????? I'm just getting a little frustrated and could use a little help. If anyone has a goto source for PDF's of this kind of stuff to help me out, I'd appreciate it. I already did a forum search and could not come up with anything here at DZ.com. Thanks in advance. Mark Klingelhoefer

what was the very first 45,album,cassette,or cd you ever owned?
klingeme replied to caress's topic in The Bonfire
I know the first CD's I ever owned. Def Lepard Hysteria had just come out and I pick it and Pyromania up the same time as my first CD player. Mark Klingelhoefer -
I was the vidiot front floating and filming all the exits in the first plane (should have told the pilot I'd be there) and have the video of the whole thing. I'll let the dogs explain the jump, but I will verify that it DID HAPPEN. Mark Klingelhoefer

I had a similar discussion with someone at the DZ this weekend. Not really a size/wingloading issue, but a Class for "STOCK" canopies. No HMA line, etc. Production models only, not prototype stuff only available to a handful of jumpers. Mark Klingelhoefer

I've got a handful of Piper Cub jumps. Interesting Climb out. Watch the fabric on both the plane and the rig...... Mark Klingelhoefer

What can we do about Skyride?
klingeme replied to ChasingBlueSky's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Also talk to your DZO. Aparently there are quite a few backers to the lawsuit besides Skydive Arizona. _Am I'm suprised it''s not a class action suit. Mark Klingelhoefer -

klingeme replied to diverds's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I think they might have been refering to a Mirage, like that in the desert where you see an Oasis, but when you get there, it's just more sand. At least that is how I took it. Mark Klingelhoefer -
Skyride owners indited on wire fraud
klingeme replied to FrankTheTank's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Did you read my post, I said a couple of years back, when Method (Who broke up around a year ago I think) was there. As far as the crediblity thing goes, I think I covered that with Quote Actually, Ben was a great guy. I took him on his first Tube Jump, and he invited my crew to his new house for dinner one evening. I think he is a hell of a guy, it's just a shame he has no scruples.Quote I don't agree with his deception in getting tandems to his dropzone, but I am not a DZO loosing business there, I am not directly affected by Skyride here in Florida, and I was just saying I had a good time there a couple of years back. I was also disputing the statement the Ben is never around the dropzone. He was there for the majority of the time I spent there. At the DZ from sun up to sun down. Mark Klingelhoefer -
Skyride owners indited on wire fraud
klingeme replied to FrankTheTank's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
A couple of years back, I spent (in a 3 1/2 period of time) weeks, in three separate trips, at ASC and ben was there the majority of the time, and by ASC, I mean Atlanta Skydiving Center in Cedertown (not Alabama, or Adventure, or Arkasas, or Alaska, or Albany or all the other cities in the country starting with an "A" that the ASC "A" claims to stand for.) Actually, Ben was a great guy. I took him on his first Tube Jump, and he invited my crew to his new house for dinner one evening. I think he is a hell of a guy, it's just a shame he has no scruples. BTW, aside from a slopey, rocky landing area, I think Cedertown is a kick ass dropzone. Especially when Method was there. My 2cents, Mark Klingelhoefer -
no? What in my post did not answer his question? That thread explains the possibility of future licensing of the SkyHook System for both existing non-SkyHook RWS rigs as well as other manufacturer's rigs. Mark Klingelhoefer Edited for spell check.....
