2nd Annual All Kansas Cessna Boogie Sept. 22-24 @ KSUPC
klingeme replied to ksjumper's topic in Events & Places to Jump
Relative Workshop will be there also. I'll be bringing 4 Demo rigs and an intentional cutaway rig. On a side note, I'll be owing beer at this boogie because I've never jumped a 182 before. I've got a couple 206 jumps but when I made these there was a big turbine plane sitting right next to it and we went up to do a novelty jump..... I'm looking forward to this boogie. I think it will be a FUN time. Mark Klingelhoefer Relative Workshop -

Parachute Man. #1 to learn about parachute systems as a student?

I would also suggest going to your local dropzone on a slow day and talk to the insturctors. They do this for a living and if they are not up in the air jumping, they would probably be a fantastic resource to get some "hands on" knowledge of how the gear works. Mark Klingelhoefer -
I have a picture of you on the Harley, but that was "post-boobies". I have pictures of the topless girls on the golf cart doing a little "Bowling" and standing in front of the "Bowling Pins" flashing the approaching cart. Mark Klingelhoefer

Couch Freaks 2006! Labor Day weekend
klingeme replied to shellybellyfly's topic in Events & Places to Jump
What will be the cost of doing an intentional cutaway there? I've always wanted to try one. The cost of the intenrional Cutaway is your slot plus whatever I can get a rigger to repack the first reserve for (ususlly around $30-$40 because it is a quick reserve pack job). I cover my own slot and shoot video for the jump. You get a copy of the video at no charge. The requirements for the jump are: 1. 500 jumps 2. Reasonable winds 3. You have to be heads up enough to handle the jump. Let me know if you meet the requirements and we'll go do it. Mark Klingelhoefer -

I just booked my flight. Relative Workshop will be there for the duration (I fly in on the 31st and out on the 5th). I'm looking forward to owing free beer to everyone for my first dollar daze. I'll be bringing Demo Rigs and the intentional cutaway rig so if you want to experience how quick this thing really is, come talk to me. Mark Klingelhoefer Relative Workshop Sales -

Well, I've talked Relative Workshop into sending me there with their demo gear. So you didn't scare all the Southeasterners away. Mark Klingelhoefer

SDLI CASA Boogie/Aug 9th-13th
klingeme replied to Mostly_Harmless's topic in Events & Places to Jump
That was Jamie from SunPath. I think they were just trying to sabotage my demo. I should have known better than to let them get in that chopper with me. Great boogie. Great people. Glad to see Al from PD again and it was a great way to end my tour of the northeast with Jay and Art. The booze louge was fun. The dueling banjo's guy was great. Nice military demo with the bundle system from the C130. Funny swoop and chug (don't you wish you knew ahead of time that the 2nd place finisher got a complete rig and Ourigan jumpsuit and first place got a pull-up cord and a T-shirt?), The second cutaway demo went well, except for the cutaway landing in a tree, and in the end, I left my camera helmet there while in a rush to get everything packed up and get out of there at a reasonable hour. Great boogie, Mark Klingelhoefer Relative Workshop -
The Dates You Have Been Waiting For (SF06)

Thanks to Jay, Jamie and Stan for the GREAT event. Thanks to the guy that still had a voice for helping finish up the auction. Thanks to all the jumpers that made this a fantastic and extremely busy boogie. Thanks to mother nature for only one short weather hold. I'm back in Deland and get a few days off before hitting the road again, but I think I'll need that time to recover from TX. I though Florida was hot, but you have some heat down there in Texas. Once again, thanks to everyone for everything that made this a FANTASTIC boogie. I can't wait for next year. Mark Klingelhoefer -
Relative Workshop will also be there with demo rigs and an intentional cutaway rig. Come on out and see the Skyhook firsthand. Mark Klingelhoefer

When I was videoing CReW with my Stilletto, I used to collapse it with worn velcro (my slider had a velcro closure sysem before I have the drawstrings added). This would speed up the air getting to the canopy, but after the initial "shock" the velcro would come undone. I'd say it took 150 ft off my openings and I used it consistantly when doing team video. Using a loaded, elliptical 9-cell for filming CRW
klingeme replied to cpoxon's topic in Canopy Relative Work
I used a Stilletto 120 for CReW video. You need to learn to Warp your canopy. Front riser, opposite toggle. Talkk to the dogs about it. It works like a charm but is scarry as hell the first few times you try it. Mark Klingelhoefer -
esquizmwa (or however you spell excuse me over here in Gap, France) I didn't mean to leave Jamie out. In Gap and after trying to struggle to speak French for a week, you are correcting my English. No Problem!!!!!! I won't say it's my first but it will be my pre-second. Mark Klingelhoefer

Thanks to both Jay and Art for making this possible. I'll be stopping by for a few days to represent Relative Workshop in Art's booth before I am off to Summerfest. See you all in Texas, then Rantoul, then Chicago. Mark Klingelhoefer

Relative Workshop will be there with 4 demo rigs, 1 intentional cuttaway rig, and my smiling face, unless my stuff does not make it trhough customs when I ship it from here in Gap where I am this week, then all you wil get is my smiling face. Mark Klingelhofer

I bought my first rig at about 100 jumps and when I did I bought a brand new Spectre 135. Mark Klingelhoefer

How's that for one up's manship? you bring your 4 rigs.....I'VE GOT 12!!!!.... Just kidding, Jay, I look forward to hanging out with you this summer. Give me a call at the shop. Mark Klingelhoefer -
Walt, You need to be WAY into the Warp before it REALLY works. It's pretty scarry the first few times, but I could sink my Stilletto 120 while filming an 8 stack which falls right out of the sky. just get deeper into the warp. Mark Klingelhoefer

PM Sent I'll have 4 Demo Rigs (one of them happens to have a Sabre2 210/PDR 193, and a Vigil in it. I'll also have 1 or 2 intentional cutawy rigs so people can see first hand what the Skyhook is all about. Mark Klingelhoefer Relative Workshop Sales -
I think a better arguement would be compairing us to Racecar drivers. If an indy car racer was in a race and had an accident that caused someone to break their collarbone or just dent thier car, should they be able to sue? Mark Klingelhoefer
