  1. The two greatest movies ever made (in my opinion) are (in this order) 1 - Godfather part 2 2 - Godfather part 1 Mark Klingelhoefer
  2. I saw one recently that I liked but did not buy. it said "Go ahead and laugh, it's your girlfriends shirt" or something to that effect. Mark
  3. Along with the key (Relax) that everone else is telling you, make a real efffort to smile in freefall. I have found this comment helps students relax. It's hard to be all tense when you have a big smile on your face. This might sound stupid, but I have found that it works to help you relax in the air. Mark Klingelhoefer edited for spelling
  4. What if you would have put on a patch or chewed some nic gum? Would that be a loss? You said you would not smoke and chew is not smoke.
  5. Here is a direct link to the video. http://www.unitedparachutetechnologies.com/download/stream/Skyhook_History_Stream.mp4 Mark Klingelhoefer
  6. One of my favorite shows. Mark Klingelhoefer
  7. I did this several times for kids at a Department of Jouvenile Justice Youth Facility I worked at. I could talk for 2 hours and have the supervisers giving me the classic cartoon hook to get me "off stage". Time will fly by. If all else fails, pull out some CReW wrap videos and awe them that way. 8. This is great. A fantastic way to show the public that we can be on the news for something other than a fatality. Kudos to Chris and Hans for arranging some possitive press. if you are attending this event, please consider helping make their efforts happen. Nice one guys. Mark Klingelhoefer
  9. $35.00 per jump, 1000 jumps per year is $35,000. I don't see 37,300 as being unrealistic. Mark Klingelhoefer
  10. My reasons for learning to pack were simply economics. I learned a about 30 jumps because I did som equick math in my head. it went something like this. I plan on doing at least 1000 jumps, and packjobs are $5 each. That is $5,000. My first rig cost me $4,500. I now have 1,200-1,300 jumps. That is a savings of $6,000-$6,500. Call me cheap, I call it smart. Mark Klingelhoefer
  11. Damn, That's OLD.... Mark Klingelhoefer
  12. Greg's video is on Good Stuff. Mark
  13. Nice. Congratuations on your Knighthood. It's great to see a story about us on the news where no one died or got hurt. You just don't see much possitive press. Mark Klingelhoefer
  14. http://www.unitedparachutetechnologies.com/rigtour/rigtour.swf Sorry, I responded before I noticed it had already been posted.
  15. Sounds great, but you suck......I'm VERY jealous. Mark Klingelhoefer
  16. And we are all SOOOO greatful for this. Mark
  17. I've read things like after 2 warnings your grounded, and think to myself "Why would they give you 2 chances to kill someone but not 3?" if it is a rule it needs to be zero tollerence. I think that each individul dropzone sould come up with their own policy. if you run a 182 or 206 dropzone , an put people out thinking about their approaches, I don't think having everyone on a 4 person load hooking is a problem. if you are on a 400 way I think you probably should not touch your front risers at all. I think the problem is situational. If no one ever jumped from an airplane, there would be a lot less deaths from it too. Should we regulate that? Mark
  18. Can I erase things from other peoples minds? This would be more useful. Mark Klingelhoefer

    POWER HOUR

I did it several times back in college (oh the glory days), and it is not that tough, but it is all about technique. the first couple times I didn't make it past the 20 minute mark until I chaged my style, then I could keep going after the hour was done. I don't want to spoil your first attempt by telling you the secret up front, unless you would like a spoiler. Mark Klingelhoefer
  20. Packers that take ATM Cards, I think I have to move. Mark Klingelhoefer
  21. I second that. I'm not gonna lose my job but I just thought it was annoying. Mark Klingelhoefer
