Aircraft emergency exit - do you pay your ticket?
klingeme replied to jerry81's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
If I agree to get 13,500 and I get any less than that, by your rationale, I did not get what agreed to get and should not pay for it, I'm just quoting you here. And I love to fly my canopy so I do occationally do hop and pops from 15,000. Mark Klingelhoefer -

So by this rationale, if you paid for 13,500 but only got 13,000 because of clouds, you would expect a full refund??? Mark Klingelhoefer -
I don't know who Liddell is but I bet Mike Ortiz can out fly him. Mark

OK, I'll buy that. I had other searches coming to mind. Mark

Here is UPT's (Vector) answer to the question. We call it the Louie Loop riser. It's got an over the top dive loop with a stiffener. Mark Klingelhoefer

Howard, The thing that scares me about this.....What the hell were you searching for that you came across this web site? Mark Klingelhoefer

I was up at Skydive Long Island, Batavia, and Sky's the Limit this summer with 4 demo rigs. I wish you would have asked sooner. I'd suggest going to big DZ's and renting/Demoing gear from them to see the different types of containers. Mark Klingelhoefer

Do you mean there are other things on DZ.com than the forums, I didn't realize.....oh yeah there ore those other shortcuts on the top of my screen. I'm gonna go see if they have actual information behind their links or if they are just dead links. BRB, Mark Klingelhoefer

Any ZOODIVE.COM customers out there ??
klingeme replied to MotherGoose's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
The first canopy I ever jumped wsa a 260, I weighed 130 lbs at the time, and I downixed to a 230, 210, 190, and a 170 before buying my first rig with a spectre 150 at around 100 jumps. If I could have bought a 170 at 50 jumps and done the 50 jumps on it rather then renting gear for those 50 jumps, I would have saved myself a good chunk of change and had gear that fit me well for 50 jumps. So I should have bought a brand new Manta 260 as my first rig? Mark Klingelhoefer -

I didn't have to pay for my friends at college.

Any certified rigger will be able to pack you new V3. The "Authorized Skyhook Installers" your are refering to are the 5 locations other than United Parachute Technologies in Florida, at which you can have a skyhook added to your "Non-skyhook Vector 3". These riggers have all come down to Florida and been trained at our facility on how to do the Skyhook modification. Please E-mail me if you have any further questions at markk@uptvector.com. I love being ing the Drum Line when I was in High School. We would watch DCI (Drum Corps International) performances for hours learning just a few little things to add to our "performance". The one drum feature song for Football season was the only reason I put up with all the other BS that went on the rest of the year. Hearing the crowd reaction to the feature was great because it was just us and the crowd like the performace most of all the songs we did. It was also fun sitting in the stands and just jamming out in between songs. Watching stuff like this make me miss "that one time at band camp." Mark Klingelhoefer

I used to go there when the Womens FF record was going on to keep up with stuff that wasn't being posted to bonfire. I wouldn't post though. Mark

I saw him do it years ago in Titusville. He made it through and only took 2 steps at the end to get out the other end of the door. It was in our "year end" video compilation. I think I'm going to stop down this weekend and hang out to watch again. Mark Klingelhoefer Mark Klingelhoefer

There are pictures of a beardless Bill hanging proudly in the conference room here at United Parachute Technologies. He does not hide them. Come by the shop for a tour and I'll show them to you. Mark Klingelhoefer (trying to get used to the new name) -

2nd Annual All Kansas Cessna Boogie Sept. 22-24 @ KSUPC
klingeme replied to ksjumper's topic in Events & Places to Jump
I want to thank the DZOs for inviting us out to Kansas to experience this boogie. I had a great time and had people demoing my gear all day. We got off a couple of intentional cutaways. I am very glad that we got the opportunity to "spread the love" to 3 small dropzones in Kansas at one time. Thanks for the hospitality. Mark Klingelhoefer Relative Workshop -

Place to be over Christmas in Florida?

If you are looking for the best party, TK at Z-Hills throws the best bash I've seen in the state for New Years. Mark Klingelhoefer -
I was teaching a Microsoft Excel Class at a SunTrust about 5 miles from a military base on the west coast of Florida. We stopped the class and all huddled in a conference room until after the 2nd plane hit and the buildings fell. We then decided everyone should get home and take care of more important things. Seems like it was yesterday. Mark Klingelhoefer
