After seeing the FF videos at nationals, I knew I hade to have it. and Alchemy's Back 2 back Eagles and Carves, and the Camera man "through" the compressed make the video worth it's pricetag. Mark Klingelhoefer

I don't video tandems (I've gone out with about 4 or 5 in my 650+ jumps) or AFF (never have) or 4 way (Have a handful of these) but have taken my camera with me on every jump I've done since around jump 200. I get a thrill every time I video someone that tries something new, they get it, and then I dub it over to tape for them. I prefer to shoot outside video on a freefly jump than to fly inside and take docks. I loved the fact that I was invited along at nationals to video the 25 way CReW jump that is the Ill. state record, and I practically ran up the stairs of Skydive Chicago to the bar to show the video to anyone that wanted to see on the "Big Screen". I shoot video because almost every time I do it, I get the ultimate compliment. "Dude, can I get a firewire, or copy of that...." Mark Klingelhoefer

After Videoing for a rotations team at nationals, I was told that I WAS GOING to do a crew jump weather I liked it or not, so after filming 4 way rotations (Tres Hombres) and the 25 way (Jimbo) after the comps were finished, I was told it was time. I borrowed a Lightning 126 and started the dirt dive that was supposed to start with me 2nd from the top, and end with me at the bottom getting my 8 way stack award. Well we did not get to the 8 way stack, but we got the initial 8 way. Rough diagram below X X me X X X X X X At least I think that is what it looked like. I know I docked on 1 person above me and had 2 people to dock on below. This was INCREDIBLE. and while I'm a freeflier at heart, I have MUCH respect for all you CReW dogs. Special thanks to Paul Bliss, Jackson, Paul Ferrel, Dave Hildebrant, Ernie Prescott, Jimbo, and Kevin Keenan for making it possible. Sorry about the break down guys. Mark Klingelhoefer Attached is a picture of the 25 way.

Here are pictures from the Skysurfing awards ceremony. Aside from the competitors, a few Freesyle and Freeflying competitors, and the CReW team I shot video for, there was no one there (asside from Roger and the judges). I think some changes will happen before the next nationals. Mark Klingelhoefer

I had a conversation with Omar last night here at Nationals, and he seemed like a great, down to earth guy. Mark Klingelhoefer

Skydive Space Center is $19 to 15,000 ft, and they have $15 to 15,000 the first weekend of every month. Same price cash or charge. Mark Klingelhoefer

Yeah, A buddy of mine got his tandem ticket after 1.5 years in the sport (in which he did the 500 jumps needed for the rating) and was allowed to get the rating (even though there is a 3 years in the spprot requirement) because he did a tandem a couple years before he got certified. So I have to wait until May of next year until I qualify. So doing a tandem mean something to the gear manufacturers. Mark Klingelhoefer

Depending on where you jump and who is doing the load organizing, (SDA-PB's Circus jumps) I've been told an AD is required to get on the organized jumps. I don't think anyone is requiring a 3-D, and considering the fact that I will be relocation to half an hour out of SDA-PB, I think the AD would be more valuable to me than the 3-D. I however voted for the PRO, so I guess this is a moot point. Mark Klingelhoefer

I jumped my Hawkeye once without the Chincup. SCARED ME TO DEATH. Helmet moved back and forth the entire jump and I was afraid it was going to fall off. If you jump a Hawkeye (which I LOVE as a camera helmet) I suggest you us the chin cup Mark Klingelhoefer

While I do not know about Mullin's King Air, I have had the pleasure to ride in Nardie's King Air at Skydive Space Center (8 times yesterday) and it is DAMN fast. (He has done sub 6 minutes to 15,000). I don't know Mullin's times. SSC's King Air is great, but I'll take the Grand Caravan and the big door any day. Mark Klingelhoefer

The way we did ours was have cloths on OVER you rig, A Pair of shorts and a bathing suit top that unties for easy removal. Let the pilot know what is going on, and arange for a second pass for the jump. That way everyone in the plane is naked with you (except the pilot who will probably give you extra altitude). Then you are not naked in front of the whole load. On landing, land out in the "student landing area" or somewhere that is further away from the hanger it minimize the "exposure", and have someone you are comfortable with meet you there with shorts and a T-shirt. Or you can be like me and put your canopy over the front to be respectful, but walk into the hanger with your ass hanging out between your leg straps. Mark Klingelhoefer Or if
