  1. Damn, that'd be sweeeet. Those chickies are the bomb. Tell them to come east!
  2. It was great meeting and jumping with you as well, Canuck! We had a fun jump huh? Next year should be even better! I can't wait for sure...
  3. ...plus, it was a really freakin awesome time. Only if more people were jumpin. Maybe next year.
  4. You've got to be kidding. ...take a look at my avatar and read my sig line. Nicole who?
  5. saturn, a shark, a spring, and a helicopter
  6. My 2cents: It's a very good movie after the first half-hour. But then again, without the basis of the boring/first half-hour - the rest couldn't have been as interesting. So, all in all, it is a great flick.
  7. Here is some of the cool pics from PHIII last week: http://skydivechicago.com/gallery/album02 More links/pics are being released soon... Enjoy!
  8. There are plenty of threads in the Freefly Forum regarding topics just like this. Check across the next few pages of for similar topics. Really, you should be asking yourself, "Is it SAFE for me to freefly during my skydives yet?" If you're own answer is uncertain, then you should follow popular opinion; "...after you've gotten the proper instruction." ps. this also applies to everything in the sport, not just your skydive-discipline-type. NOW...get it goin on!!!
  9. Well, most DZs are helpful when it comes to the lower-experienced jumpers. If you are going to be center-city then Crosskeys is the best bet.

    Butter Face

It sounds like she was a "Double-Bagger". One paper-bag for her and one for you in case hers falls off. ...one of my colleagues always uses that one...
  11. You would be surprized how easy it is to exit in a compressed (side-to-side). And the move comes off really sweet on vid. Good luck dude!

    kurupee suits

I bought one about two months ago. Great suit. All of the details were free. I was very impressed with the way it flew for me on big ways - nice, slow, and responsive.
  13. Don't force the issue. Think about the faults you've made one more time. Rest assured knowing that this is something you've corrected in your life... And move the hell on.
  14. My X of three years recently asked to know if we still had possibility. Sure, why not?? It takes three years to do a lot of things (age wine, for the average skydiver to make 1000 jumps, to go through graduate school slowly). That last paragraph was sarcasm. Are you friggin kidding me? I don't think it takes much Alone-Time to know whether you are capable of commit yourself to another person. This person sounds consistently confused about herself. My advice is to let go or do the Tony Danza. F'd up but funny as shit!!! LOL Seriously though... two friggin years. Common!? That's silly.
  15. A couple of points - hope they help. If you are feeling funny about jumping you shouldn't ignor your instincts. No one is going to force you to jump out of a plane (i hope) - it is ALL on you. Check ALL of your gear one more time the way you were taught; your 'bad feeling' could be 'gear-fear' in disguise. Being confident with equipment, and having it prepared properly, places a lot of ease on the situation (in freefall and under canopy). Also consider the people you are jumping with. There are plenty of reasons to be apprehensive about a skydive, especially when there are other entities flying around you. A freefall collision with another jumper is definitely one of those concerns. Learn to anticipate movements. Get used to asking people there experience level before they go up with you. It isn't an arrogant thing to ask another jumper their jump-number as long as it is for a good cause.
  16. I started out NOT liking this thread, but now I think it's a f'n riot.
  17. That is the smartest thing I've heard all day.
  18. You could easily go there and have fun. I had low time jumps when visiting Deland and found it to be cool. Just talk to Jimmy Tranter or Chris Hayes before heading over there; I know them to be pretty cool and helpful guys.
  19. I had a feeling. I was in a Harrier squadron about 10 years ago and we saw bird-strikes all the time. It is difficult to see what kind of aircraft that is, but it would take a pretty HARD and FAST hit to cause damage that would look like that. For a second, the thought occured to me that this may have been an Ostrich, but the odds that this guy was doing a low flyby over a plain in Australia are slim-to-none.
  20. Hope you didn't kill a deer, a dog, a person, or anything else.
  21. Class is a matter of opinion my friend.
