Not even speeding, i have really bad night vision so didn't notice that my lights were not on when i left the car park (i do this when sober all the time) due to the sodium lights above. 15ft later get pulled for no light, 1st thing i said was 'Officer, I am over the limit, can I have a last ciggie now?' its the first, and the last. In Jersey (Indepedant of UK but affialated) our legal system isn't so fucked you can get a lawyer to argue the charge away (I've seen the adverts in the USA). On Monday afternoon, I will stand up, make my case, which is really none. I will apologise, thank the police that charged me, and take it on the chin like a man. "This isn't an iron lung, people. i nevr thought I would, always said a taxi home was cheaper than a license, but then a few drinks, people I hadn't seen for a few years,... Going to lose my job, my famiily are going to be pissed and dissapointed, but my own fault, and at least I got stopped before i caused an accident. "This isn't an iron lung, people. So got caught by the cops, over the limit by 3 times, going to lose my license for 18 months at least. Before everyone has a massive go at me, I know i was stupid i know i was dangerous, I know now i cant visit my relatives as much as i would have. In short, I f'ed up, my own fault, don't deserve any sympathy, but I am so pissed off at myself. I'm glad the cops caught me before I had a chance to hurt/kill anyone. i deserve the punishment i'm going to get. But i'm still pissed off. "This isn't an iron lung, people. Last time I went to the US i got stopped at immigration. They asked me how much money I had on me in dollars. i had nothing in cash, they we're a little funny about it until I explained about this little plastic thing I put into machine which gives me money. Yes. I know its becoming a cliche but all the 9/11 assholes had proper documents. Another point, when the TSA staffed were hired it happened real quick, not exactly enough time to ensure you had suitable people responsible for a nations secuirty. This guy is actully a danger to himself, sufferring from an incurable mental illness which means he never feels full, always feels starving. He is slowly eating himself to death. He is in effect committing suicide (slowly). Now whever we lock people up who are a danger to themselves is a the question.
