Had mine out earlier this year. Was in overnight, got up on the AM on 2 crutches, down to 1 crutch by the afternoon and was walking fine the day after. Wasn't painful at all, I refused the morphine and just had a couple of paracetomol a couple of hours after I came round. I didn't need any physio at all, just had to pop to the hospital evry few days to get the dressing changed and the wound inspected (I had them taken out early as I had infection behind a plate and they wanted to keep an eye on it). All in all glad they came out early, I feel like I've got much better mobility since they came out as I broke the tib and fib right at the bottom. "This isn't an iron lung, people. It aint 2 AM everywhere, I'm in the UK. Also check out the DZ listings on here, I 've had a quick look and there do seem to be some non USPA DZs in your state, although the whole liability issue thing may still come up. Not sure of the specifics of the laws involved but I seem to recall that in the US (or some states anyway) that your parents can waive liabilty but if something does happen that the waiver may not be found to be valid. Yup, realised we wanted different things, she was abit older (10 years and her clock was a tickin) and wanted babies I didn't. Anyone one out there using this? Getting lots of refferals from places such as doggielove.com, teenlove.com etc. I didn't set this up and have no idea how it works. Better yet: Plane my head!! Thanks! Don't be quite so radical, put some charcoal dust all over the lining, then put the helmet on. Take off helmet, use some wet and dry (I'd reccomend 400 grade at first, then switch down to 200 for the last one) and sand down till it fits. Repeat and rinse as nessacey.
